Trying to fit output of XY Graph

Hello, I'm trying to fit the output of an XY graph which is (1-D Array of Cluster of 2 Elements(2x 1-D Array of Double[64-bit Real])). It seems like instead of having one array with two columns X,Y indexed persample number, I want to have a 1-D Array of Column Y , indexed by X. Any ideas?

Please attach your VI and some typical data. Most likely one of your points is NaN, in which case the linear fit will fail of course.
You really have some misconceptions. An XY graph is a data sink, and not a data source and faking it with local variables just complicates things.
So what you should do it take the output from the xy express VI, remove the points containing NaN, do the linear fit, and send both to the same xy graph terminal. You only need to write to the graph once.

I'm getting NaN on the slope and intercept
of the Linear Fit VI outputs, is there a way to take the output of the XY Graph Local
Variable feed it into the Curve Fitting VI and then add the fitted
curve back into the XY graph? It seems like it does not like the Output
of the Graph.

Hi Lefterisa
Can you post an example VI with your data in it so we can further look into this. Be sure to have as many elements in the X as you have in the Y for them to properly form coordinates. The basics behind this function is that it needs a set of x and y data to which it will return the best linear fit using the method specified in the input.

Fatal Internal Error: "image.cpp", line 13192 when trying to insert a cursor to graph

NOTE: This IS a duplicate post from the Breakpoint. Text slightly changed. The post in Breakpoint can be deleted. All comments should be placed in this thread.
I resolved the "Fatal Internal Error: "image.cpp", line 13192 when trying to insert a cursor to graph", but would like to share to find out if others have seen this and to determine whether this is a bug, or if it's time to redo my PC, or buy a new one..
I have an existing graphs (qt 6) which originally had 2 cursors. This occurred while trying to add the third cursor.
Up until attempting to add the last cursor, the program worked great, and I had been running tests for a while. However, I do recall seeing this problem when creating the original cursors, but not to this extent. Plus I don't remember the original error message from that time.
I needed to add one more cursor to the existing graphs. As soon as I add a new cursor and set it's properties, I get a nasty error message and without warning LV8.2 simply closes itself (well, the only warning was the error message. Tried it 3 times, same result.
Here are the steps:
Shut down the PC, went for a coffee, rebooted the PC. Opened the LV project, opened the VI. Immediately went to the graph properties to add the new cursor by doing the following steps:
Right click graph indicator icon on block diagram.
Select Properties.
Click on cursor tab.
Click on Add
Select Cursor 2 (3rd one, newly created)
Change color
Select cursor as a line
Remove checkmark for "show cursor"
Click OK
I need to do this to 3 other graphs, same steps. And as soon as I get to the step before clicking OK, I get the error message.
I managed to get an additional one done, by immediately saving after each step (yep going in & out of the properties). But I've had this problem before when creating the first two cursors.
Is it a bug? Anyone else seen this? Using LV8.2. And the message is right about LOOSING ALL unsaved work!!!!
Here are more observations:
Tried creating a new one on the second graph. As soon as I clicked on the color, it crashed!

I observed the title bar after making changes to the properties. I noticed that 3 out of 4 times, while changing the properties of the graphs to include the cursor, and saving after each & every step, that there were no stars appearing on the title bar to indicate "unsaved changes". Saving was also much slower than usual. I suspect, the program never got to placing the star before saving occurred. However, I am noting everything.
After creating the cursors, saving was and is normal, and the program runs well..   I have run tests without problems.
Does anyone have a clue at what causes this? Has anyone seen this before?

Hi Donovan,
I can't remember seeing this elsewhere. When I get a chance, I'll create a new (blank) vi with new graphs and will repeat the steps.

Trying to fit screen for Samsung tv. The current view is too large. Tried the system preference display options. It remain to large 42" screen with 1080p 60Hz

Do you see a Scaled option next to Resolution: ...?
If so, select Scaled and try choosing the highest Resolution in the list.

Trying to fit a curve with restrictions

I am trying to fit my experimental data with my own function y=a*exp(-x/b)+(1-a)*exp(-x/c) and I want the "a" paremeter to be >0 when doing the fitting.
Is there anyway to do so?

When i create a Broadcasting Settings i am getting an Error saying "Portal theme does not fit output format", and below is the detailed that we are getting,
"Diagnosis
You used separate portal themes to generate PDF or print formats (PS or PCL). The output format that you selected is not appropriate for the portal theme currently set.
System Response
The broadcast setting is not consistent and you cannot save or execute it.
Procedure
Change the output format or the portal theme correspondingly. (The portal theme is set to the first valid value for the current output format when you display the corresponding tab page).

i changed the shipped Labview Example to use the General Polynomial Fit VI with a waveform graph.
But why don't you want to use a X-Y-Graph?

HTML output and missing graph

I am developing a report having a graph in BI Publisher 10.1.3.3.0. When the report o/p is genereated to PDF, the graph is showing up, but the same report doesnt return the chart in HTML output (it shows small icon in the place of graph). I followed Tim Dexter's blog http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2006/10/31 here. But, I didnt understand where i need to make the settings for 'Base image URI' and 'Image file directory' .
In the Runtime configuration properties for this report, under HTML output, I see the foll.
-show header
-show footer
-replace smart quotes
-character set
-make HTML output accessible
-user percentage width for table columns.
I even tried the o/p in excel and rtf but, the graph is missing in the o/p as well.

I've been inputting values that spans multiple columns and rows to create a graph.
Take for an example, i had value on A1:A9 and results would be spanning across B1:D9.
I would like to create a graph that has A1:A9 displaying on the x axis. While Results on B1:D9 to be analyzed and output to one specific bar on the graph.
Let's say at x axis representing dates while y axis representing car plates moving on the same road.
On 20th january we had 3 cars passing by and input into the grid. The same car plate that were commonly passing by the given area will be reflected on the graph at how many times it appeared.
I tried to look everywhere for my answer. However, i fear that this might requires and a simple graph will not be able to work out to what i wanted.
Need some advise here.

Could you please specify, which elements should be on the x-axis? Once you said "A1:A9", but also "dates on the x-axis".
What's on the y-axis? The number of unique cars that have passed that certain day?
In my eyes, the issue is not the graph (Excel is capable of that), but more the structure you want to have. I guess, you have to do some data rearrangements in order to get the designated result.

GUI locks up when trying to read output from server

I have a client built in MVC fashion and have two GUI views. One view is for output from the server and input from the keyboard. The other view is for changing connection settings and starting the conection. The problem is when I make the call to connect from the connection GUI it is able to connect and set up the streams but both GUIs lock up once I start trying to output the text received from the server. The strange thing is that when I call these methods just from the Model and not via the GUI and its actionListener the whole thing works. I think it may have something to do with the loop locking up the GUI but don't how to resolve this.

Error message when trying to issue output for printing in the VT02N

We have one issue where user is trying to givng print out for shipiing details in the tranaction VT02 n
in EXTRAS---> output , there are giving the out put type ZS04 and when they save the output type they are getting the following error messages
Mandatory: Proforma saknas
Mandatory: (5.Varuposter) - Commodity code saknas i delivery:
output type is configured in nace transacition with the print program and the forn name

Hi,
Check if you have entered values in all the mandatory fields required.
If you have try debugging and check where error is coming.
Just type /H in the command bar and click enter when you clcik on goto-extra it will got to debugging.
In that put breakpoint at message.This will put break points at all message statements.
Then you can find out very fast where the error is coming from

How to output 3D Surface Graph as image file (bmp or jpg or png)

I'd like to output a graph from the 3D surface.vi module as a regular
image (like a JPG or BMP). At this time, I'm going through an
awkward process of taking a screen cap, then isolating the image with
photoshop (painful and time consuming).
Any idea or input would be appreciated.

RIght-click on the graph and "create...invoke node". On the diagram, select method "get image".
Save the output of "image data" as JPG, BMP, or PNG using the tools from the "Graphics Formats" palette.
(The code shows would get a 24bit PNG image)

The Problem is with the layout and not with the field cat preparation.
I gave colours to the layout and now i have changed it to the zebra and the problem solved by me.
