Trying to import a Quicktime movie and get error message
After exporting from FCP, using QuickTime settings, when I try to import into DVD Studio Pro 3, I get a message saying wrong format.
It says "could not import one file. Incompatible format".
(there's only one file I'm trying to import.
Any advice would be helpful.

When you export from FCP take care of selecting QuickTime Movie self contained with same settings that your timeline (ussually the default settings in the export window).
Besides that my advice is you encode your video to MPEG2 and your audio to Dolby AC3 before importing in DVDSP. DVDSP will leave audio uncompressed what can give you playback issues in some players because it take too much of your bitrate.
In DVDSP3 you must use A.Pack for the AC3 encoding. Try this tutorial about Encoding AC3 with A.Pack (from KenStone site).

The storage you purchased is in the cloud, and doesn't do anything with your pad. Your problem is simply that you have too much content on your pad. Go to settings, general, usage, and it will show you how much space you have avaliable on your pad. If you let the screen sit for a while, all the apps will be displayed, and you can see how much stuff you have associated with each.
You have to no option but to delete some of the content on your pad. Videos, comics, pitcures and some music files use a lot of space. The cloud allows you to leave stuff there, so you can get it when you need it. -
Trying to publish movie and get error message -50
trying to publish movies from imovies. I keep getting error messages (-50) or (-34). don't know what it means. also when I put in a dvd to burn it tells me "not enough space". Movies are less than an hour. why? I recently was able to burn one for 1hour and 3 min now I can't burn anything? confused...help
The not enough space message refers to file size. Even though the movie may be short, perhaps for some reason it has a large file size.

The other is in regard to Movie Length in TIME + MENU time - as this is the limiting factor in iDVD (not GBs or other just time)
a. How many movies
b. duration of each movie
c. Menu selected
d. Is MENU still and silent - or animating and with audio (Takes lot's of the movie time)
e. Encoding quality selected in iDVD
f. HOW did You go from iMovie to iDVD
g. What version of iMovie and iDVD are You using
h. FREE Space on Start-Up (Mac OS) Hard Disk - HOW MUCH
As You see there are lot's of info needed to be of any relevant help
iDVD 08, 09 & 11 has three levels of qualities. (version 7.0.1, 7,0.4 & 7.1.1) and iDVD 6 has the two last ones
• Professional Quality
(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - BEST (but not always for short movies e.g. up to 45 minutes in total)
• Best Performances
(movies + menus less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD (Can be best for short movies)
• High Quality (in iDVD08 or 09) / Best Quality (in iDVD6)
(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above
Menu can take 15 minutes or even more - I use a very simple one with no audio or animation like ”Brushed Metal” in old Themes.
About double on DL DVDs.

Trying to sig in to ITues and getting error message

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time? -
Trying to pair my Flex Fitbit and get error message
Trying to pair my Flex Fitbit with Droid Razr Maxx and keep getting message "Couldn't pair with Flex because of an incorrect PIN or passkey." I don't know how to resolve this. The fit bit pairs and syncs with my computer but not my phone. Help, please.
My symptoms after the Kit Kat update were that any time I connected my FitBit One the phone's wifi system would crash. Further, I'm no longer able to pair the phone with my 2010 Toyota Prius. I can pair with other cars, but not the Prius. Verizon sent me another phone but it has the same symptoms, definitely a Kit Kat problem. But the Verizon guy told me to try updating the firmware in the Prius. I took it to a dealer and they tested it and said it doesn't need a flash. Everything worked before the 4.4.2 Kit Kat update.
So at this point I'm out of luck. Can't use the FitBit or the Prius. Since not being able to drive hands-free is a safety issue I'm going to cancel the Verizon account if we don't get a fix soon. Pity, I really like the phone too. -
Trying to convert word to pdf and getting error message using Ver. 7
I what sent a word doc by a correspondent of mine which I tried to convert to a pdf. I right clicked the doc on my desk top and chose "convert to PDF". It looked as it has all the other times but after it had opened word it came up with an error window/message of "Missing PDFmaker files." "Do you want to run the installer in repair mode?" and then a yes or no button. If I hit no it closes everything if I hit yes it acts like it's installing something and after a while it tells me that the computer needs to be restarted for changes to take affect. I have run it twice now and it doesn't change anything.

DYou did not indicate the version of WORD. If it is WORD 2007, then you can not do this function with AA7. Try opening the file in WORD and printing to the Adobe PDF printer. If that works, then look for the PDF Maker options in WORD (create PDF). If you find them, then try that. If they do not show but the print worked, then you indeed have an issue with PDF Maker - probably either the macro is not activated in WORD or the version of WORD is 2007.

I get the message 'your startup disc us full' at random time points. I'm trying to import photos to iPhoto and get'iPhoto cannot import your photos because there is not enough free space on the volume containing your iPhoto library'. This is a new Macbook Pro and all my files were transferred from my old Macbook.
What size internal drive do you have and how much of it is used?

Follow the steps listed below for Error 1604. Also, discard the .ipsw file, open iTunes and attempt to download the update again. See the steps under Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations. If you do not want to remove the IPSW in the original user, try restoring in a new administrator user. If the issue remains, Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Itunes was working fine. Tried to install latest upgrade and get error message about an invalid character in the path "Program Files (x86)". PC, Win7, nothing else appears to be having same issue. Program still works, simply cannor upgrade.

I tried this solution without success. After FixIt ran and didn't find a problem, either in looking for issues with "software upgrade" or "iTunes" it kindly offered to help me uninstall iTunes. I had thought of this as a possibilty but it seems to me that if you do that you lose a lot of "non-native-to-Apple" information you might have entered. I did this once and recovery was painfull. Is there a way to uninstall iTunes without losing all of that sort of thing? Any help would be appreciated.
