Trying to install service pack 2 for WLS 6.0

Hi !
I already have WLS installed and running under a Red Hat Linux release 6.2 (Zoot)Kernel
2.2.14-6.1.1smp on an i686
When I try to install the service pack 2 this happens:
===============================================================================
Choose BEA Home Directory
1- /home/bea/wlserver6.0
Existing BEA Home: 1
===============================================================================
WebLogic Server 6.0 not found
WebLogic Server Service Pack 2 Installation failed.
You do not seem to have WebLogic Server 6.0
installed for BEAHOME /home/bea/wlserver6.0.
What is happening?
Thanks in advance
Sergio Ríos

For Macs with built-in Optical drives, you will need to burn the ISO to Optical media and use the Optical drive.

    Hi.
You can get individual service packs by logging into your esupport
account at http://support.bea.com. Alternatively you can download
WLS6.0 with service pack 2 from

  • Errors when trying to install Service Pack 3 for Exchange 2010

I have 2 Exchange 2010 servers that are running SP2 and I am trying to install SP3 on both.
They are installed in a DAG and so I am running the .\StartDAGserverMaintenance.ps1 script before attempting to install SP3.  When attempting to run the SP3 setup I get the following errors:
Setup cannot continue with the upgrade because the 'powershell' (Machine: P-E10-2.company.com) process (ID: 5296) has open files. Close the process and restart Setup.
    AND
Install hotfix Microsoft Knowledge Base article 2550886 from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2550886 to improve Windows Failover Cluster transient communication instability when deploying stretched Database Availability Groups across datacenters.
I can download the hotfix and apply it but has anyone had any issues with this particular hotfix?  Does anyone have any ideas about the powershell error?
    thanks for your help.

    Hi,
That hotfix relates to a known issue implementing DAG's across data centres (an issue particularly with Windows failover clustering). As a best practice is should always be installed. Please review the following article, which describes why it should be
    installed:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2011/11/20/recommended-windows-hotfix-for-database-availability-groups-running-windows-server-2008-r2.aspx
In regards to the open files, as the other poster suggested, there will be another user logged onto the server who has a powershell window open. Ensure all other users are logged off the server before performing the upgrade.

  • T-500 running Windows Vista - Error trying to install Service Pack 2

I just spent my entire Saturday trying unsuccessfully to install SP2 for Windows Vista on my T-500.  My laptop has Vista Home Premium as the OS and is fully patched with SP1.
The message I get is "Error_not_found (0x80070490)"  when I try to install SP2
I ran SFC /Scannow and got a message that there are corrupt components and a direction to C:\Windows\Logs\CBS that has a huge file I cannot comprehend.
I also ran the "System Update Readiness Tool" prior to trying to install SP2 with no apparent effect.
I have tried various approaches to this such as running System Restore and reapplying everything  with reboots in-between.
I confirmed no spyware and also disabled my antivirus program (NOD) during updates with no effect.
Has anyone else out there had a similar problem who might be able to offer advice?
    Thanks,
    The Hoy

Are you sure you have the proper file downloaded for your system? x86 if you are running 32bit Vista and x64 if 64bit.
Other than that, you might try to use Windows Update. Note that you need to install all updates, possibly including IE8 before Windows Update will offer you SP2.
You might also try installing all updates from Windows Update and then running your stand alone SP2 installer, to see if that solves the problem.

  • Problem installing Service pack 1 for Windows Vista 32-bit from windows update

I have been trying to install Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista Home (32 bits) through Windows Update many times. The Update panel shows Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (KB936330) is available. I install the update, which by the way, just takes me few minutes curiouslly. The "update succesfully installed" message with the green circle checked on appears. But then, when I check my computer properties, the Service Pack 1 is not there and Windows Updated keeps showing again and again the update for Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (KB936330) is available and that needs to be installed. I don't know what else to do, can you help me please.

    Hi:
Try downloading and installing the standalone SP1 file.
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30
If you get it to install that way, go straight to SP2 with the standalone download.

  • Crystal Reports 2008 Error Installing Service Pack 1

    Hello,
I am trying to install Service Pack 1 for Crystal Reports 2008 on Windows 2008 Server as an adminstrator and I get the following error message:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.  Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a fold containing the installation package "CrystalReports.msi" in the box below."
Also, I have been unable to complete the registration wizard because I do not get a 10-digit registration number when I complete the registration process at www.sap.com/solutions/sap-crystal-solutions/productregistration .  I don't know if this problem might be causing the Service Pack 1 to not install.
    Thanks,
    Michele

    Hi Michele,
Windows 2008 is not officially supported yet but it is for Vista and Windows 7 after SP 2.
To get it to work uninstall first, make sure you keep your keycode and then download SP 3 full build:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009989492010E/cr2008_sp3_fullbuild.zip
    Then it should work.
    Thank you

    Hi,
Try to use Chkdsk tool to check if it could fix this issue:
    1.
Type cmd in the Start Search box, right-click cmd.exe in the Programs list, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.
    2.
At a command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
    Chkdsk /R X:
In this command, X: is a placeholder that represents the drive letter of the volume that you want to check.
    3.
Press Y when you are prompted to check the disk the next time that the system restarts.
    4.
Close all applications, and then restart.
Meanwhile, please try to download Windows 7 SP1 package and then install it to check if this issue persists.

  • HT1349 Trying to install latest iTunes for Windows 7 64-bit. Keep getting this error message "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."

Initially iTunes would not run although it had been running quite well up until now. Suddenly received this error on PC start-up "The program can't start because MSVC80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." Research on Net pointed me to iTunes as the issue. Tried to start iTunes and received that message again. Tried installing latest version of 64-bit iTunes and received the subject message part way through the install: Trying to install latest iTunes for Windows 7 64-bit. Keep getting this error message "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
iTunes has been running great on this PC for years. What's up?

  • Service Pack for Proliant installing successfully but returning failure in OSD task sequence

Building bare metal servers with SCCM 2012 SP1 CU2 OSD and running into an issue with HPs where they attempt to install the Service Pack for Proliant 2013.02.0.  I am using a package with a program.  Here is the program command line:
    Hpsum.exe /use_latest /allow_non_bundle_components /current_credential /silent
The application installs successfully but there is a distinct delay and then errors thrown that fails the TS.  Setting 'continue on error' is a work around but not what I want to have in the production environment.  How can I get around this issue?
This is the same exact package and program that ran perfectly fine in SCCM 2007, but we are seeing this as a new issue since the migration to SCCM 2012.
I'd like to solve this issue as well as get rid of the "Waiting for job status notification....InstallSoftware"

    Hello Guys!
HP ProLiant Support Pack / Service Pack uses different Exit Codes, due to that this software support other operating systems than Windows. Therefore HP has standardized to use other Exit Codes, which Windows Detect as failures.
    HPSum Exit Codes:
    ExitCode 1 = "Installation Successful"

  • Problem installing service pack 3 update

I have windows XP up and running on a seperate drive in my Mac Pro. I am now trying to update Windows by installing service pack 3 update via the Windows Update option in the control panel.
I get an error everytime saying there is not enough disk space. My hard drive have 109GB of free space so I don't know what the problem is.
    Any ideas?

    jperkinski:
Here is a solution for you that should work:
Boot into Windows XP and get to the desktop.
    Click on the START Button
    Click on RUN
Type Regedit in the windows and click on OK
    *Navigate to*
    HKEYLOCALMACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup
    HKEYLOCALMACHINE
    \Software
    \Microsoft
    \Windows
    \CurrentVersion
    \Setup
In the right pane, Right-click and select New - String value
Name it as “BootDir” and set its value to “C:\”
Try installing SP3 now and it should work.
