Trying to print DVD-Cover, but Text is missing

Hi,
I'm trying to print a Cover I designed in Pages. It is printing everything fine except for the text that sits vertically (at 270°) on the spine of the cover. When I turn it to 0° it is being printed. Again at any other degree rate it is not showing on the print. I tried grouping all of it and putting it in the front but to no effect. Anybody has any idea what that is?
best robert

Sometimes the frames of certain text-elements are big enough to be shown on screen and in preview but do not print. adjust the size of the frame

  • Print DVD cover

I am new to Mac. Is there a built-in software to print DVD cover? I use Mediaface on the PC but don't know if MacOSX has pre-loaded software.
    Thanks

How about taking a screen shot of the theme? It will be low resolution but you could use Photoshop Elements or the equivalent to increase the resolution for printing (increase the image size 50% at a time; sharpen as necessary).

  • Searching Templates to Print DVD Cover on DVD Boxes From Pages or Keynote.

i have iWork 06 and i want to print dvd jewel case or commercial boxes
from Pages or Keynotes , i dont want to use third parthy applications.
i just need templates i can import in iWork 06 , and work on them.

I was just looking at a post I made awhile ago on this subject for a response to another post. Here it is adapted for you:
There are several options for templates you can use in Pages. First, there those submitted by other users & available at iWork Community. Three possibilities for Word templates are Microsoft, Neato & Fellowes
Most templates for Word will open nicely in Pages. I haven't come across one that doesn't, but that doesn't mean someone else might. The only thing to watch for is the file extension. Some Word templates have an extension other than .doc. You will still be able to use them, just change the extension to .doc in the Finder or Pages won't recognized them as Word files. Of course, you can't change just any file's extension to .doc & have Pages open it. It must be a Word document.

  • Printing DVD cover?

Can I print a DVD cover direct from PE4 or do I need to use another program?
In other words - are there any templates such as DVD cover, CD cover etc?

    Jan,
I have PE#3, and this version does not have templates for this purpose. I doubt that v.4 has them either.
I purchase NEATO labels both for round CD labels and for the cover inserts. In one of the packages of labels there was a CD for installation of Media Labeling Software (MediaFace II - v.2.3.1). I can access the templates in WORD and import JPEG files, or use the Fellowes Neato software. I prefer the latter because of its versatility. The alignment on the labels is precise with the utilization of the templates.

How can I print a Safari page without the links being printed and covering other text?

Try printing the page as PDF.
From your Safari menu bar click File > Print > Save As PDF then print the PDF file.
If you don't want to do it that way, reset the print system.

  • Trying to print from tiff but it is adding dither

    Hello,
I am trying to create a Chuck Close style image for a Fine Arts class. I created the base image by resizing my image to 4 px sq and 12" by 12". The image looks great when saved, meaning the pixels are sharply defined from one another. However, when I go to print, a dithering of a sort is added to the image and one pixel fades into another. I need precise sizes because I am actually gluing smaller images to the base as pixels. I would use the mosaic function, but the sizing never turns out right. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!
Sorry, I cannot get the image to upload any larger.

Use Image > Image Size to resample the 4 ppi image to a resolution that your printer requires, for example, 300 ppi. Use "Nearest Neighbour" resampling to maintain the squares. See before and after screenshots below.

  • Trying to print a book :-/ but need to convert to CMYK

Using lightroom 5 to create a book. In a tutorial for lightroom I was instructed to use raw format when taking pictures but now that I am talking to printing companies, I am informed that I need to convert those images to CMYK. I did this in photoshop illustrator, but when I import back into book in Lightroom, they are reconverted to RGB. HELP, please!!!!

Lightroom doesn't output CMYK.  You could create the book pages, export them as JPEGs and then convert the whole book pages to CMYK, if you're using a printing company who can't handle RGB files.

  • I'm trying to print a brochure but it is upside down on one side

    question above

If your printer does duplex printing you may have a setting in the print diallog. Your best option for finding the answer is likely in the printer documentation, either a paper or online manual. My Brother color laser does duplex & I don't have to change anything.

  • Trying to print an 8x10 but I'm being 'forced' to a 4x6

I'm on a MAC with PS CS5.  I have saved an image as a .jpg sized to 8x10.  This image has never been sized as a 4x6.  I try to print it using FILE > PRINT.  The print preview window has the dimensions above it indicating 4x6 and I get a warning that "some clipping will occur".  The 'Scaled Print Size' box shows:  100%, H:  7.998, W:  9.999.  When I check the "Scale to Fit Media" box the numbers change to 50%, H:  4, W:  5.  The preview of the image still shows the paper size will be 4x6.
I don't have a "Page Set-up" or "Show Details" button to click on.
    Printer = HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks,
    Bernie

can you post your screenshots please so we can assist you with some more detail, all screen shots from file to the final print dialog. The website for your printer suggests you select "simple Print". Then set the Paper size.
Follow these steps to print from the HP Photosmart Essential software:
Open HP Photosmart Essential, click View , and select the photos to print.
    Click Print .
    Select Simple Print .
Set the Paper Size to Borderless 215.9 x 279.4 mm (8.5x11 inch) .
Select the appropriate layout for the print job.
    Click Print .
Have you set the paper size?
Also, have you updated your printer drivers recently?

  • PDF files created in Acrobat Pro X for Mac will not print correctly on Windows - text is missing

I recently created a PDF file with pictures and texts in Acrobat Pro X. However, when I send it to my coworkers (who work on Windows computers), the printed file contains only images, and no text. I am using Century Gothic - a font that is installed on these Windows computers. When they open the files, they can see the text and everything exactly as it is meant to be. However, upon printing, the text disappears completely.
We are using a Konica Minolta Bizhub printer to complete these printouts. When I print from my computer (the Mac), the files print perfectly on this printer. However, when using the same printer, a Windows user cannot print the text in the PDF's.
Has anyone else run across this problem? I am thinking of trying to embed fonts, however it doesn't seem like it would make much of a difference (since the fonts show up fine on a Windows computer anyways). Is there a known issue with printing PDF's on a Konica Minolta printer?

The archive format you used embeds all fonts, as does Press and Print type job settings. The standard job settings does not embed all fonts and that might be where the problem was.

  • Print preview ok but a field missing in print out

    Hi Experts,
Recently we did an upgrade from 4.6C to ECC5.0 . We are facing a strange problem, one particular field ( along with value ) is not appearing in the print out
from a particular printer . Everything comes fine in the print preview and the print outs are also perfectly ok from all the printers except this particular printer .
The same printer gives correct output in the older version .
Could you please give any pointers to this issue ?
    Thanks,
    ~Abap Lover

    Hi
Could you please look at the style attached with the form maybe the extra field comes with a different font that is not installed in the ECC 5.0 version so it is replacing by some other font which is not there in the printer.
    Hope that Helps

  • Dvd cover print

I want to print a dvd cover but the printer prints a small part

Do you mean that the DVD cover print is too small or that only part of the image is printed?

  • Photoshop CS5 + Epson 1400 DVD Cover insert question

    Hey there,
I'm relatively new to the world of printing (video background) and I recently bought an Epson Stylus Photo 1400.
I'm trying to print DVD covers (10.733" x 7.25") onto A4 photo paper and can't seem to get it centered and/or borderless.
I'm always getting some clipping on either side and proportions are not ok.
    My document is exactly 10.733" x 7.25" at 300dpi. I created a custom paper size of 210mm x 297mm with 0mm border
on all sides, used the Epson rules of moving the left margin by 0.2" as from what I read on other forums is a problem with
almost all Epson printers on OSX, but still get some clipping on either or both sides.
Could anybody help me with that one?
    Thank you

If you're printing with "Borderless" there is an expansion applied to the image by the printer driver (so if you ask for 210 mm, you'll get 213mm or so) to make sure that you don't get any white borders on the paper.
Use a non-borderless paper size and trim it down with a paper-cutter afterwards if you want precise results, or turn off the expansion in the printer driver ("Print Settings") settings. Not sure where they hide that on the 1400.
