Trying to re-install Adobe CS4

Trying to reinstall Adobe CS4 Design Premium, but it keeps hanging at "preparing to install". The disk is in good shape and everything.
P.S. My operating system is Windows 7.

make sure antivirus/antimalware programs are suspended and right click the setup file and click 'run as administrator'.
if that fails, check your log files to see if an error is listed, Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC
if not, check your running processes during installation to determine what part of the installation is hanging.

  • Problem installing Adobe CS4

    Hi,
    I am trying to install Adobe CS4 however when i press on the setup, the setups starts to inspect the system to check if it meets the minimum requirements. When this is ready, I get a larger window (as if setup is going to begin) and soon after a smaller window which remains blank white.
    I wouldnt be able to close the setup, complete it or whatsoever. The only option is to force quit the setup. Any help on what can i do to install it?
    (the blank window opening could be due to the fact that i have 1GB RAM and it is recommended to have 2GB)

    Here's the requirements.
    * PowerPC® G5 or multicore Intel® processor
    * Mac OS X v10.4.11–10.5.4
    * 512MB of RAM (1GB recommended)
    * 2GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on flash-based storage devices)
    * 1,024x768 display (1,280x800 recommended) with 16-bit video card
    * Some GPU-accelerated features require graphics support for Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 2.0
    * DVD-ROM drive
    * QuickTime 7.2 software required for multimedia features
    Your RAM is OK. However, you need to update your OS to 10.4.11.

  • How do I install Adobe CS4 Design Premium on a Non-System Drive?

    I am trying to install Adobe CS4 Design Premium on a Non-System Drive, but it appears
    that there is no option to do so. Is there a workaround to changing the installation location?

    Hi Bob,
    Thanks for your answer. The reason is because I am working on a Navy computer with limited space on my C Drive.  I have more space available to me on a "D" Drive.  I am running Windows XP with 3GB RAM and 17GB on the D.  I only have 10GB on the C Drive, but that needs to stay open for system patches, & other software.  Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 is installed on the C.
    Thank you for your response.

  • Installing Adobe CS4

    I tried to install Adobe CS4 and got an error "Installation Database is corrupt" what do I need to do to install this?

    Install it with sufficient user privileges and external influences like virus scanners turned off. This error occurs when the database cannot be accessed properly.

  • Im trying to re-install Adobe photoshop elements and it says failure to install

    I would like to say that your customer Service is the absolute worst I have ever spoken to... I am having trouble re-installing my photoshop elements 4.0 on my computer. I just used it yesterday and went to re-install it today because my computer had to be restored to factory settings. I waited 10 min and the phone hung up on me. I called back and waited 30 min and then hung up because it was taking so long. Then called back, complained to the first rep, he transferred me to another rep who transferred me and I waited 52 min for a CSR to tell me that I need to go to forums.com. This is terrible..what is there job if they are just referring people to a forum. I would love to download 12.0 at some point but I do not have the funds at this time and the 4.0 will get the job done, but it will not let me download. I need this asap for my job. I am wasting valuable time from my job and kids w/ computer problems.
    Thanks

  • Can I install Adobe CS4 on  Mac OS X v10.9?

    Hi,
    Does anyone know whether you can install Adobe CS4 on MAC OS X v.9?
    Thanks!

    For the most part this should work, but you will need to make sure to e.g. fix the permissions on the Library folder because 10.9 handles this differently from previous versions of OSX. And of course there may be any number of other compatibility issues that may require manual fiddling.

  • Trying to re-install Adobe X Pro on same computer after system restore.

    I am trying to re-install Adobe X Pro on the same computer after I had to do an entire restore of my computer. I downloaded the file, but when I go to set-up, it says that I don't have the system requirements. This happened when I originally purchased it, but it was because I didn't have the latest Windows updates. I made sure to update yesterday, but I'm still having the same problem. Any help/suggestions/feedback would be great!
    Thanks!

  • Restore to a time before I installed Adobe CS4

    How do I go back in time for my whole Macbook Pro using Time Machine? I installed Adobe CS4 and then when I uninstalled it left 8 GB of information all over my Macbook Pro! I did a backup just before I installed CS4 and now I want to go back to that time for my whole machine. I thought this would be easy. I thought it would be loke Gateways old GoBack program where you can pick a time and your computer just takes everything to that exact past state.

    you should be able to boot the Mac with your Leopard disc then select your language then go to Utilities and choose restore from TC. I believe it will give you choices of dates.

  • UPGRADE RAM TO INSTALL ADOBE CS4?

    I need to install Adobe CS4 on my Power Mac from 2003. The memory card inside is only 512MB. Can I install a 2GB memory card, or will this computer not support 2GB?
    Would an external USB RAM drive be helpful/possible?
    Want to be up and running ASAP, but keep hitting road blocks. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Be sure to research CS4 carefully. I'm seeing info on the web saying the min processor for CS4 is a G5, not a G4. You may need to find a copy of CS3. I'm still running CS2 on my G4 MDD and haven't encountered any limitations on my modest needs.
    If you end up with CD3, note this: the installer for Adobe CS3 had a known minor bug where the installer would balk if seeing more than 1.5G RAM (3 x 512MB modules in a 2003 G4). This did not affect the program once the software was installed, so the workabout was to remove one module to have 1.5 G RAM during installation and then return the module you pulled to its original slot once the instll was complete.

  • Unable to install Adobe CS4 on Windows 7!

    I just upgraded my laptop's OS from Vista 32-bit to Windows 7 32-bit. When I tried to install Adobe Design Premium CS4 Student Edition back on my laptop, it just doesn't seems to be installing anything. And after an hour or so, it just pop up a window stating that the installation failed with an Error Code 1620. I tried the installation for over 6 times since yesterday till now!
    Back to the time when I used Vista, I had to create a new folder (eg. Adobe CS4) to install the software there (in that folder) and that was when it finally installed the software for me. Of course, I met the neccesary system requirements even before buying the product.
    And now, even when I tried the same technique, it just won't work. I followed all the steps stated (such as restarting my laptop etc) and it just won't work! And according to the reviews on Windows 7, many people has no problem with the compatibility issue of CS4 and their copy of Windows 7.
    Please save me if you have any idea on what's going on with the problem I am facing. I really need help regarding this because my whole life is going to depend on this fabulous software which I have been using it since last year for school and social works!
    Any help will be deeply appreciated!!!

  • How do I install Adobe CS4 Web Premium?

    Hello, I recently bought Adobe CS4 Web Premium. I'm running Windows XP 64-bit. When I was trying to download the software, I got confused on which CD to install first (Application 1, Application 2, or Content). I figured to install Application 1. When I finished installing Application 1 it asked me to insert disk 1. Does anybody know which CD to install first?

    Those are DVD's, not CD's.
    I would do what the installer says.
    Are you putting the DVD's into a DVD reader?

  • Problem to install Adobe Cs4 design premium on mac Mountain Lion

    Hi,
    I've changed my old Macbook pro (my OS was Snow Leopard) for the last new Imac. I did back up everything on an external disk with Time Machine.
    When I've started for the first time on the new Imac with Mountain Lion, I've restored everything from the external disk.
    But when I started Photoshop Cs4 or Illustrator Cs4, I got this message : Error 150:30
    So I did unsinstalled the creative suite, clean all as recommended here :
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4673667
    I've downloaded a creative suite cs4 Trial from : http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html
    But when I install it, the process stop after a while and a window appears with :
    "This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which is no longer supported.
    Please contact the application author for an updated version."
    I suppose that the downloaded version is too old for Mountain Lion.
    Could someone give an hand to work it out please.
    Thanks.
    PS : I've got my ID and my serial number
    I used a downloaded version because there's no CD lector on the new IMac.

  • Error when trying to re-install Adobe CC: Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure

    My subscription expired while away on holidays. I renewed my subscription and have tried to re-install without success. The first issue I had was with administrator permissions on my pc. I have fixed this but now get an error stating that the product I am trying to install is counterfeit. I have searched through Adobe's troubleshooting but I can't see anything that matches this error. My OS is Windows 7. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi avanishdivya
    I have followed these steps previously, without success. Step 1 is where I started having problems, where the download stops towards the end stating the product is conterfeit. Regarding step 2: The only other CC product I have is LR. I have followed step 2 and installed updates, then re-attempted step 1 and still receieved the same pop up. I have tried step 3 several times now (including after updating LR), each time it finishes with a pop up to install Winzip (for a fee). I don't understand why I would need Winzip to re-intall a product I was able to install without Winzip originally.
    Any other suggestions?
    Thanks
