Trying to set up a group email "RAM" that will contain multiple email addresses. Receive error messages "check SMTP settings" or "Invalid email address" when I try to send a message to the group.
I am trying to set up the group email "RAM" that will contain multiple email addresses. I have inputted the name "RAM" as a corporation. In the section labeled "Email" I have inputed multiple email addreses so that when I want to send an email to the group "RAM" I just have to input the name "RAM" in the section labeled "To" , input the Subject in the Subject box & the email will be sent to the multiple addresses, yet when I do I receive either one of two error messages being "Invalid Email Address" or "Check SMTP settings" each of which allows me the option of with cancelling the email or send it anyway.
Bump. I'd like to know, too. I even have some synched Groups from my Apple Address Book I email to using Apple Mail on the Powerbook, but I can't see how to do a group mailing on the Touch either.
In normal Mail, I just start typing the name of the group, and it autocompletes, I hit return, and it fills in all addresses in the Group.

I've been having this problem too, but here's the catch: originally it was only with my dad, and only sometimes. Now it's dad and husband, every time! Pix go through, via imessage, to everyone else, and they go through to dad/husband if I "send as text" after it fails.

You can't migrate the Final Cut Studio apps. They install bits and pieces all over the system folder and libraries. if those files are missing, the apps can't work properly. That's your issue.
use FCS REMOVER from digitalrebellion.com (free) to uninstall FCS 3, and then install again from scratch, and update with the Software Update. -

I am having trouble sending bulk emails from a Mail Group (less than 100 at a time) on my gmail account. They come back saying the server can't recognize the data and try again with selected server or try later or edit message, all of which I have attempted a number of times, including re-booting the computer. I am wondering if there is something wrong in my Address Book? I have check Apple Preferences, and Mail Preferences and all seems in order. I can send to any of the individual addresses, but not in a group.

I have typed in email addresses into Contacts, but when I try to do an email, most of them have an exclamation mark and won't let me send! Where am I going wrong ? It is really sapping my confidence!
Did you set up your email account info in Settings?
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Accounts > your account should be listed in there with the appropriate incoming and outgoing mail servers and correct user names and passwords. -

If you are trying to connect to your ISP e-mail account. The ISP will help you setup and connect to your e-mail account. So, you might want to give them a call.
Usually, when you are told that you can't use the server it means that there might be an error (either a wrong name/ address / password/ connection type/ etc.) so check your settings again...

Is your device recognized by your computer? If yes, copy the pictures and videos as shown in this article:
Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
If it is not recognized, try this first: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Disable autosync in iTunes, right click on it in the device list and choose "transfer purchases" to copy apps and other media bought in iTunes to your new library.
Do the same again and choose "backup", to create a manual backup without syncing.
Since your device will be erased due to the new iTunes library during the first sync, you can use this backup afterwards to restore your settings and data.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer before you start, to be able to merge calendars and contacts. -

Hi everyone, We've gotten a refurbished iPhone 4 as a replacement for another one, but it was locked out with Find My Phone. Now, realising that resetting the phone and doing all kinds of stuff on it won't help since verification happens during conne
