Trying to turn on iCloud on iPod and just shows the iCloud program "working". Never does ask for id
I am trying to turn on iCloud on iPod touch 5, and when I choose icloud, it just shows the iPod "working". it never asks for an appleID. It is like it is locked up or something. Help!!
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Then try again
Safari does work, right?

I really need help this has happend 5 hours ago and the ipod os still showing the apple logo and the buffering icon below it!

Need help fast!- I suspect that he went to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. For 1G or 2G iPod that can take hours and it will likely stall out if not connected to a charging source.
Try the following:
- A reset.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- The connect to computer and try to restore via iTunes.
- Id something is still showing onthe screen, disconnect from computer/charging source and let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour, Try the reset and restore.
- If you can turn the iPod off, se if placing the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovey mode:

Broken. iPod Classic just shows apple. Then tells me to go to support. Red x n circle.
Bring it in to Apple for a checkup, most likely the battery is near dead, or your charging cable is damage.
Can you get another USB cable, and connect the iPod to a High Power USB 2.0 port, and leave it charging for 4 hours (The charging sign (lightning) must be ON the iPod display)
Do not connect it to any USB Hub, as these don't provide enough power for iPod charging.
After fully charging the iPod, do the disk diagnostic to see the condition of the Hardisk. refer to this post by tt2.

Is there a way to keep all my e-mails on my mac and just show the latest on iCloud?
Reached my 5 GB limit and unfortunately have already deleted plenty of e-mails on "iCloud" and didn't realize I was also deleting them off my Mac.
So is there a way to only show the last month e-mails on iCloud mail but keep them all on my computer?

With IMAP accounts your email client is always reading from the server, just like iCloud.com. Anything done on any device signed into your account (your Mac or iOS device), or on iCloud.com, updates the server and the change is then replicated everywhere. There just isn't a way to have different email on one than you have on all the others. Archiving allows you to store a copy that is only on your Mac so you can delete it from the iCloud.com (or any of your other devices) and the copy on your Mac will still be there. That's really what archiving was designed to do; allow you to permanently save email.

My software applications were unexpectedly quitting ( I Tunes, page, skype) so I downloaded Lion OS 7. It took 48 hours to download and 18 hours to install (and counting) so i turned it off and on several times. All i get now is a screen with the Apple Icon asking for my password with option to switch off or restart. tried both but it just brings me back to the same screen

thanksWhen you decided to upgrade because you were having serious problems, you jumped from the frying pan into the fire. If the problem was the system, then reinstalling the current system is the way to go. But you had several application quiting, some from Apple and some not. so the quitting was something affecting all of them, and of course the system could be the culprit, but the system is not the only possible culprit. Replacing the system when it was not the problem only buries the problem under a whole new pile of problems.
Before reinstalling a system you need to make your Mac as trouble free as possible and back up as much as you can. There is a wide variety of problems that can affect many applications. Here is a short list:
Font problems. Use Font Book to verify your fonts. Delete or disable bad fonts.
Disk, permission, or cache corruption.
Incompatible Startup Items, Login Items, interface modifications or menu extras.
Corrupted preferences other than those of the affected applications. Check preferences system-wide using the freeware applications Preferential Treatment or AppleJack
Insufficient RAM or lack of free disk space.
Programming errors. Bugs in application code are not uncommon. For third-party applications, check the vendor's Web site for updates to the application, reports of known bugs, or for information on how to contact the vendor for support. A bad program might be grabbing up too much RAM and causing the other applications to fail as well.
Corrupted application. Check the logs to see where the crash occurred.
Other software problems or conflicts.
Corrupted Mac OS X installation. Perform an Archive and Install of your current Mac OS X.
Hardware problems. Run the Apple Hardware Test that came with your Mac.
Try to discover the culprit:
Open Console, located in the Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities folder.
Check the Console and System logs for messages that may be related to the problem.
To open these logs, in Console choose File > Open, then choose:
Open Console Log and Open System Log
Messages in these logs are time stamped when the message was logged.
Scroll the log windows to the approximate time when the problem occurred.
Details of the messages may provide additional clues you use in troubleshooting.
Do not post an entire log to a forum. Post only the messages referring to the function or application causing a problem.
AppleJack is a free program you run in 'Single User Mode.' Install it. When you want to run it, press Command s until you get a black screen with text. Type 'applejack' and run the repairs. -

You add them from your computer by syncing with iTunes, as discussed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12313. The cloud symbol you see in Purchased list in the iTunes app on your iPod is to download them from the iTunes store if you ever need to, or don't have access to a computer to sync them to your iPod. This feature is called "iTunes in the Cloud".
