I am a new user of Ipod touch 5th gen 32 gig I cannot connect to internet with usb?

When you say that you're trying to connect to the internet with USB, do you mean that you're trying to connect your iPod to the internet so that you can surf the internet with a browser on your iPod, or that you're trying to connect your iPod to your computer so that you can sync it with iTunes and bring over songs, movies, apps, etc.?

Cannot connect to internet with iMac connected to airport via Ethernet

Firstly please forgive if this problem has been posted before but unfortunately i haven't yet been able to find a solution to my problem.
I cannot seem to get my wireless network to work since updating my Airport to v5.7. I have reverted back to 5.6 but with no joy. OK, here's my setup - I have an iMac G5 1.8 which is connected to my airport via an ethernet cable (it is plugged into the correct port) and an iBook with an Airport card to connect wirelessly. The airprot is connected to my ADSL modem which is a D-Link 300T. When set up like this my iMac cannot connect to the internet even though my iBook can. When i take the4 iBook and Airport out of the equation my iMac connects fine to the internet via ethernet cable direct to my modem.
As i've said, as soon as i bring in the iBook and Airport the iMac cannot connect via airport extreme, even though the iBook can connect.
I have searched through the discussions looking for clues and answers. I have made sure that distrubute IP address is not checked and that internet sharing is off on my iMac but on on my iBook. I have tried all channels and all possible different settings on the airport admin utility but nothing works.
I hope i've given enough information to give a clear indication what is wrong, if not please ask and i will try my best to answer. Any help would be much appreciated so i can convince my girlfriend that buying my iBook was not "a waste of money!".

Same questions as Paul.
Open up the Network System Pref on the iMac G5.
If you pick Show: "Network Status", what do you see ? Be precise.
If you change Show: to "Built-in Ethernet", what do you see on the TCP/IP, PPPoE and Ethernet tabs ? Again, be precise.
On the Network Status, you should see a green mark next to Built-In Ethernet, which should be at the top. It should also give you an IP address and tell you you are connected to the Internet. Well it would if it was working, so "say what you see".

Cannot connect to internet with static IP

As the title says I cannot connect to the internet while using either the 'DHCP with manual address option.' or the 'Manually' option in my network preferences.
I know I have both the Subnet Mask and Router numbers right, and have tried a different range of '192.168.0.xxx' for my IP.
I realize that this question has been asked plenty of times before, but I still can't find a solution.

Windows cannot connect to internet with airport

I have a macbook with Windows via Bootcamp. I have DSL. My mac OS can access internet fine (wirelessly and ethernet). I can access internet through Windows if I connect directly through the modem (ethernet). If I connect ethernet through airport, I cannot connect. Of course I cannot connect wirelessly either. I would like to connect wirelessly. Any ideas?

Some items to consider.
First, can Windows see the wireless router? You can go under network settings in Windows and see if it "sees" the wireless access point. Or, you can log into the router and see if it sees Windows as a connected device.
Do you have any security enabled on your router? If so, have you set up the security on Windows?
Are you using DHCP on your router? If so, does Windows have a valid IP address?
Also, have you made sure that the device driver for the Airport Card under Windows is current and working properly?

Trouble connecting to internet with usb adapter

I have a D-Link wireless usb adapter (DWL-122) that I have had for nearly a year with no problems until just recently. In the wireless preferences window it shows that I have a connection to my wireless network. However, when I try to open my web browser I get a message saying the server is not found. I am unable to access the internet in any way (itunes, instant messengers, etc.) as if i have no connection. If anyone has any idea as to what the problem would be I would appreciate any feedback. I am at a loss for ideas because as far as I can tell I appear to be connected to my network.

I was about to order the very same USB solution you are using, but then checked with a friend who's a network admin for the local diocese. He advised against this as a reliable solution & wanted me to just string a long wire. The wife acceptance factor nixxed that.
After checking the user reviews for this device on the Amazon site I found that there were many other Mac users who had been experiencing dropped connections using several different USB units like this one.
Your post doesn't say how far away from your router your iMac is positioned. Distance might be an issue for you, but not likely.
I presume you've already done the things your ISP would have suggested -- like resetting your modem, diagnosing software setup on your computer to see if anything there has changed, or repositioning the router?

Cannot connect to internet with Huawei after upgrade from 10.7.4 to 10.7.5

I have an iMac which came with os X 10.7.4.When I installed my Huawei E303 data card, I was able toconnect to the internet.
After upgrading to 10.7.5 the system appears toconnect and I can text, but there is nointernet connectivity.

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.
10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
For 10.5/10.6/10.7, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

Cannot connect to internet with huawei e220 after plugged in Ipod touch

Guys, I have serious problem. I have a vodafone (spain) branded huawei E220 usb 3G modem. It used to work fine until i plugged in my Ipod touch. From then on the connecting app (Vodafone Mobile Connect) will hung up using 55% of CPU capacity.
This is the second time i have this problem. the first time i took the opportunity to uninstall mac osx completely. It worked fine until i plugged in the Ipod touch???? I cannot get this thing running anymore...The problem lies not within the modem as it works under XP on same machine (bootcamp)
Any help would much appreciated!

I had the same issue with vodafone sofware.Just delete it and download the huawei app from this link.

I cannot connect to internet with an orange dongle

I'm currently in Uganda and have been given an orange dongle to connect to the internet. I put it in installed the software automatically, but then nothing else happens. When I try and open the application it bounces at the bottom not he screen for a couple of seconds but then disappears. Another person has put it in her laptop windows and it works fine no problems. I'd be really grateful for help with this, please?

I bought myslef an ipad yesterday while travelling. Set-up went ok, but I cannot get on the internet. I have activated the Airport on mt 2007 i-mac and the i-pad says it is connected to the i-mac network. Still something seems missing.

just got mine - ipad 32GB , wi-fi model. Had the same issue. Using 02 broadband. the ipad was connecting properly but no internet. Updated the network to 802.11g and the encryption to wpa2. it works fine now

Setting up my iPad with 4G, the cellular data account is set with AT&T, but the data is not flowing when wifi is off. Safari cannot get a connection. What am I missing?

Have you talked to AT&T to make sure the account is provisioned correctly?
Do you get a 4G/LTE label at the top of the iPad screen to indicate its connected?
Is there Cellular service in your area?

My laptop connects to my network, but does not have internet access--although the main computer does have wireless iinternet access through the airport's wireless connection.

What happens if you power off the main computer completely and then restart the AirPort Extreme and laptop?

If the message that is displaying is "Network connection timed out", disable any Anti-Virus or Firewall software on the comptuer or check with the company that supports the product on how to modify it to allow iTunes to connect to the Internet.
