TS1398 After updating my iphone last night, I am unable to connect to wifi. What do I do?
I updated my iphone to the iOS 6 last night and everything else is working fine except for conntecting to wifi. Its just 'thinking' but wont actually connect. I tried restarting my phone which didnt do anything. I turned on and off wifi with no luck. I also forgot the network and signed in again with the correct password, still nothing. I dont want to use all my data when I'm at home. Please help!

Since I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 8.1.2 last night, I can no longer connect to my imaps server. Other clients can connect to the server. Rebooting the device is no help. Before the update (i.e. 8.1.1), it was working fine. Is this a known issue?
No, it is not a known issue. It is a known non-issue. Try resetting your IMAP login ID and password. Both the incoming and outgoing. If that fails delete the account reboot the phone, and add it back.

HELP!! My iphone 4 can't load any of the downloaded application such as Facebook and games etc ever since i updated my phone last night through itunes and it indicates that it has an error 1004.
Anyone has any idea how to fix this ?If the error occurred during the update you need to redo the update, as it corrupted something on your phone. Knowledge Base article http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275 says:
Error 1004 and 1013: This error may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being blocked, redirected, or interrupted. Adjust your hosts file or security software to ensure that connections to gs.apple.com are not blocked. If the issue persists, try restoring on another computer with a known-good connection. If this restore is successful, you will need to contact whoever supports your install of the operating system and security software installed on your computer for assistance. If your hosts file redirects requests to gs.apple.com, you may choose to follow Can't connect to the iTunes Store, in the "The 'hosts' file may be blocking the iTunes Store" section.
This usually happens if you have used a hacking program like Tinyumbrella on your computer sometime in the past. -
After updating my iphone 4 with the ios 6 update. My iphone would no longer connect to my home wifi that is password protected. I know that I have the right password entered in. At work we have a free wifi connection that does not require a password and I can connect no problem to it. My ipod touch has no problem connecting to my home wifi. It is a 3rd gen ipod and does not have the ios 6 update on it. Please help!
I'm having the same issues. Started when I upgraded iphone 4S and ipad1 to 5.1.1. Wife's iphone 4g on 4.4.2 has been ok. I've forgot the network on both devices and restored the iphone, none of which changed the issue. I've upgraded to ios 6 on the iphone 4s, problem still persists.
One thing that will help for a time: go to your router and change the wireless control channel. When I first did this I got full connectivity for about 48 hours... and now the problem is back. I'm now changing the wireless control channel every 12 hours, which is a pain but at least keeps me connected. I've tried a few other solutions that are out there and that has been the best one so far.
to do this on a motorola router: type 192.168.0.1 in your address bar.
username: admin and password:motorola if you have not changed the factory defaults.
Click on the word "wireless" and look for the "control channel" field. This may be set to auto or to 1, try changing it to 6 or 11 (preferred) or any other channel.
The control channel can cause static in the wireless system IF there are several networks nearby that are on the default setup.
There is a fair bit of buzz about this issue out there, some other things I've seen:
This is a hardware issue. Go to the store and have your wifi antenna checked, some users reporting that they get free replacement devices.
Check against other wifi networks that require a password (this is next for me). Logon to those networks and surf until your wifi stops. If your wifi connects to the internet but stops responding, then this is a software (or hardware) issue and apple needs to step up. Some are claiming this to be the case.
IF you connect and stay connected/on the internet on another password protected wifi, then the issue is with your router. this is where things get cute.
Comcast may tell you to update your firmware. Motorola may tell you that your cable provider is the only one who can push through firmware updates. Comcast may tell you that you are not in an area that is being updated. It's unclear if they say that to all customers, or just those who have purchased cable modems and aren't renting them from comcast.

After updating my iphone 5 to iOS 7 my phone won't show any wifi networks or connect to any. I reset the network connections and still nothing.
I Just found it on the apple site, it arrived on a cd a few days later and worked just fine again.
i would recommend backing everything up just in case. Better safe than sorry, trust me. I've lost so much when i didnt back up once when re-installing the system.

"No Service" after updating to iPhone OS 3.1.3
After updating to iPhone OS 3.1.3 it seems that around noon it loses connection to the cellular network, telling me "No Service". This is in Belgium on the Proximus network with a 32GB iPhone 3GS.
Turning the phone off and on makes it register to the network again. I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same.I updated my iPhone 3G 16GB to 3.1.3 from 3.1.2 and have experienced an "No Service" incident.
From the text messages that were delivered after I noticed it and fixed it, it appears the problem occurred last night while I was at my part time job, inside of a heavily shielded building. I'm not certain about the exact moment, but I had been trying to look at an email because I had a very weak signal. Then I lost it, but that wasn't surprising because of the building.
After a reboot, it is working again. I'll post again if I loose my service again.

I upgraded my iPhone last night. At the end of the upgrade iTunes synched the Contacts, but all my iPhone contacts have been deleted and replaced by the Windows contacts on my computer. Can the iPhone contacts be restored? The latest backup shows the time to be after the sync so we tried to restore the iPhone but only the Windows contact list is there. Can you access any previous backup files anywhere?

Well, just for future reference, any time you do an iOS upgrade, it is a good idea to back up your device just prior to doing the download. You can back it up to iCloud or to iTunes. Personally, I prefer to back it up to iTunes, and then to do the download via iTunes as well. Doing a Wifi download can, by the very nature of the OTA environment, run into more issues than a hard-wired one via iTunes.
If it is just a version release (like 8.0.1, or 8.0.2), then I might download it via Wifi, since the content is not likely to be very large. But for any major new release (7 to 8, etc.) it is always a good idea to do it via the USB cable rather than OTA.
I would also suggest that you set up your device to do automatic iCloud backups. Whenever it is turned on (i.e., not manually powered off - it can be "asleep"), plugged into a power source, and connected to Wifi, it will do an automatic backup every 24 hours. Mine usually backs up at night.
But even with my iCloud backup in reserve, I still did an iTunes backup before I upgraded to iOS 8. I like having the extra security of that second backup to choose from, should I need it. Here is a support article comparing the two types of backup:

I started a icloud backup of my iphone last night before I went to bed as I was told at the apple store yesterday that it could take up to 3 hours to backup. When I woke up this morning it was still going and said 15 hours remaining. After an additional hour or so the screen still read 15 hours remaining. I need to understand how I am suppose to backup the device to icloud without having to take this long as I cannot be without my phone for an entire day or longer due to work requirements.
If you're in recovery mode, all data is ALREADY lost. You've no choice but to restore.

Can't restore my phone after updating to iPhone 5.1
I updated my phone last night to 5.1. After doing that my computer told me I had to restore my phone. I tried to restore it once and it told me that there was an error. I looked to see what might have been the problem and there were 5 different things that apple said I could do to help with it. After doing all 5 things it still won't restore. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on or what I can do to fix this issue?
With the phone turned off, press and hold the Home button while plugging it into your computer. Try restoring through iTunes again.

Any ideas on whats the problem?Did you check how many entries do you sync in the iPhone? Under "Mail, calendar and contacts" options on the Settings app, you need to make sure that you have enough entries syncing in your iCal.
By default I think it's the last 30 entries, but you can set it up to view all entries.
Also make sure that your calendars are selected as viewed.
