TS1398 I just restored my ipod because the 'other' section was taking up about half of the space on my ipod and now I am unable to connect to the my wifi and I was able to before restoring the ipod.
My wifi isnt letting me connect to it and i have no idea why. It was working just fine before i restored my ipod

iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem.

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

What can I do to get back to a point that I can directly purchase Apps from my itouch via wi-fi. I was able to before I purchased an app on my PC and loaded it into the device via the sync cable. My itouch 2G was bought 2nd hand, so when trying to get Apple support I was unable to register my device because I didn't know it's original purchase date. Now im unable to purchase any paid apps in play store. I used the carrier billing option. I was able to before and on my Verizon account I cant seem to find it anywhere that might have had it blocked. Even threw the play store its not blocked they tell me to figure that out with my carrier??

Go to settings, general, about, and you will see "version." That will indicate what your operating system is such as 5.0.1 which is the most recent upgrade.
As for the wifi, you might try going to settings, then general, then at the bottom reset, then click on reset network settings. Back out of everything and then when you log back onto your wifi it will ask you for your local password (assuming you gave it one when your router was set up). Enter it and you should be good for go. At least this worked for me.

I have an iPhone 4s, and I reset the content and setting. It turned on, I chose English, Australia, and now, I am unable to connect/activate my iPhone through Wi-Fi, and for an unknown reason, it will not allow me to use cellular data or iTunes. In order to download to your phone over the air, you need to be connected to WiFi.
It's possible the Internet connection through Verizon is not stable enough for the downlaod to begin (it is a very large download).
You might want to head over to Starbucks with your laptop for the afternoon and see if you can download it over their WiFi. -
Every time I turn on my laptop about half a dozen previous documents open up and I have to close them before I can begin. Can anyone help me prevent this from happening as it's driving me nuts!
First thing to (un)check:
When you shutdown/restart, there's a dialog box which confirms your request. In that box is a little checkbox which you should uncheck.

The "Other" section is using up 3.89 GB of space.
I have just recieved my iPod Touch 5G, and I have only synced my music library. At the bottom of the itunes page it has my devices storage. Audio, Other, and Free Space. The "Other" section is taking up 3.89 GB of room. Is that how much it is suppose to take up, or do I need to clear something?

An "other" that large usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files.

Ipod touch 4th gen with iOS 5 capacity bar says other section is taking up 1.53 GB?
When I sync my ipod touch 4th gen with iOS 5 i have 2.8 GB of music and 1.27 GB of apps and i have a 8 GB ipod but the "other" section is taking up 1.53 GB?? i know thats not normal so how do i fix that?

That happens sometimes.
Try:

To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings

I just got a new router and couldn't connect to my new Wi-Fi. I had to go and turn on airplane mode, select the network then it connected and I turned the airplane mode off. I hope this works for you.

Start with the simple things. Reboot your router by removing all power for 15-30 seconds. Then, as Knells suggests, reset the phone by holding the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. Plan C is Settings/General/Reset - Reset Network Settings. None of these will cause data loss, but the last one will erase your WiFi passwords.

Did you do a full power cycle of both computer and phone?
Sorry but for phones I have no clue.. but I did find it failed to connect at times and you need to clear out all the old names.. full power off and on again and things suddenly start working.
Laptop can be same.. but apple has specific hardware testing available.
Look at doing tests.. or take them to an apple store and get both tested.
Is there other device still working fine on the home wifi.. have you power cycled that as well.
