I updated my ipod touch to 5.1.1 and did a system restore. All of my purchased music from itunes went back on along with photos and apps but now it won't let me sync music that I downloaded. All of my music that was imported from cd's synced but not my downloaded music from internet. They went into my itunes library but they are a light gray and have a little sync symbol next to them. I've tried dragging them into different folders but nothing is working. I read that others were having problems with this update but didn't get any answers.

After you have updated your device to version 5.1.1, have you tried resyncing everything from your iTunes yet?

try reseting your ipod by holding down the home button and the sleep button.

If you right click on the song it will give you an option such as Create AAC version or Create mp3 version.
To control what option appears Preferences, general.
At the bottom right is a button called import settings. This will start another dailog box where you can choose which encoder to use
Select Mp3 version.
Go back to your song and create an mp3 version and see if that synces

How do I update I phone on bring it to factory settings from computer my phone . I was trying to do a update and now it wont even turn on it shows a charger cord being plugged in to i tunes.. I cant seem to figure out how to do this from itunes..

ok you have all artwork on itunes for your music,so try picking one track which has no artwork when you play it,it shows in the box bottom lefthand side in corner.
at the top of the page where it says Advanced ,click on it ,click on get artwork,another box will open and ask you if you want to get the artwork,click yes,itunes will then get artwork.
If that fails ,what i do is,google the name of album artist etc,when google finds it ,click on images in google ,you should then see all pictures of the album,click on and save any cover you want,once you save it,open the folder where you save it to,then go back into itunes,click on the certain track,right hand click on it,click get info,click artwork,then drag that artwork you saved from google ,straight to the box for the artwork,click ok ,and bingo ,it will save it in that box!
play that track,when you do it should show up in the box(the artwork) ,on the bottom lefthand side ,this may take some time especially if you have alot of tracks,normally its quicker if itunes gets you the artwork!

Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

I would try restoring the Nano to factory settings via iTunes. This will clear your iPod's artwork cache and rebuild it. Here are instructions on how to restore your Nano.

4. Allow iPhone to reboot;
If that doesn't work; you will have to try a restore in iTunes;

Download new itunes update and now it wont let me sync. Keeps saying I need 26gb of free space which it didn't say before I downloaded the update. It doesn't make sense. It keeps saying:
The iPod cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library. (additional 26gb required)
This makes no sense because before the new itunes update there was no problem with me not having enough space. I have 5gb of free space now and I had 5gb of free space before I downloaded the itunes update. Nothing should've changed. And I should not need an extra 26gb of space. How do i fix this problem so I can my ipod normally again.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)
