everytime i try to download an app from itunes, or to 'view all' the apps listed, the error says; 'We could not complete your iTunes Store reuest. The network connection was reset' I used both my desktop and laptop both on Windows 7 Pro, & net is fine. please help. is there soemthing wrong with apple store temporarily?
The latest message is: 'We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection was reset.'
In between, I got a messge about verifying my payment method. When I tried to submit the details, I kept getting a mmessage stating that my payment method was declined (my card is not near it's expiration date, and works fine).
Argh!

Hi All,
I had this problem today myself, and was frustrated repeatedly by the '4002' error.
I have literally just fixed the issue by doing the following steps:
1: Go to the 'Store' tab and select 'Turn Off iTunes Match'
2: Return to the 'Store' tab and select 'Update Genius'
3: Wait for this to complete succesfully, the return to the 'Store' tab once more and select 'Turn On iTunes Match'.
4: iTunes Match will now go through the motions and should succeed!

Can Anyone help with this message which occurs when I am trying to update my iMatch, it says "gathering information about your library" & then after a few mins when the progress band gets almost to the end, I get the message "we could not complete your itunes store request. The network connection was reset. Make sure your network connection is active & try again"
Support has told me that its a problem with my connection, but I disagree, how come I can download countless songs from iTunes without ever getting this message, I think they are bullsh***g me to get rid of me.
I have even followed their advice & totally disabled all my antivirus, adwatch & firewall software & it still does it.

I did absoultely nothing different yesterday to make it start working, I had previously disabled all my antivirus, firewall, anti tracker etc etc & it didnt sort it.
The only thing that happened yesterday was my laptop went dead flat & I had to a reboot (dont choose System Resume, which I normally do) I chose the other option in error & had to wait nearly an hour whilst my PC "repaired files etc" & it also downloaded a load of updates (had that message "dont power off, as updates are in progress")
I really dont know if that sorted the issue or Apple fixed the bug yesterday but its working.

This alert is related to iTunes Store movie rentals and authorization issues.
Make sure you are using the most recent version of iTunes and QuickTime. They both can be downloaded free of charge.
If your iTunes is up to date, remove the SC Info folder. -

...how do I resolve this issue? It's irritating for several reasons:
1) My new songs do not appear in match on my other devices because of this error
2) My itunes turns itself on automatically when it knows it needs to match; then the icon starts jumping up and down when the error occurs, distracting me from whatever I'm doing about ever 15 minutes at times.
3) I've paid for this. It's working so badly.Found a potential solution here:
