I'm not familiar with XP Home, you should be able to right click on the folder, and set the share permissions. You may have to turn off Simple Sharing to get access to this. Also you can set permissions on the folder as well. The share permissions I believe are Read, Write and Full Control. The NTFS should be able to set Read, Write, Modify, etc. Remember in Windows it will take the least privileged, meaning if you set the Share permissions to Read, and the NTFS to Write, you will only be able to read.

Is your device recognized by your computer? If yes, copy the pictures and videos as shown in this article:

If it is not recognized, try this first: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Disable autosync in iTunes, right click on it in the device list and choose "transfer purchases" to copy apps and other media bought in iTunes to your new library.
Do the same again and choose "backup", to create a manual backup without syncing.
Since your device will be erased due to the new iTunes library during the first sync, you can use this backup afterwards to restore your settings and data.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer before you start, to be able to merge calendars and contacts. -
hello everybody , I have an iPod touch 4g . Now a few days ago it got wet in water . i didnt notice that but when i came to know , i saw it very hot . i kept it away in open , after some time it cooled down but it was dead . it wasnt turning on . then i searched it on net for fixes... finally i tried the rice method , i kept it in rice filled in a sealed box for 1 full day . now i kept it in charging ...its syncing with itunes and making that sound but the screen is stilll dark and wont respond . Did you try to reset by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?
Does it work with headphones plugged in? If yes, did you try to play music in headphone mode, then unplug during playback and start playing music again after that?
If you toggle the volume, can you see the slider moving up or down? -

I downloaded music to my ipod shuffle from itunes and it still saying saying download music from itunes. But there is music on it when I hook it to the computer but it want play on the shuffle. Someone please help me.

Have you checked your Control Panel to make sure you don't have the flashlight turned on?
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and make sure the flashlight icon (bottom left-hand corner) is not white. If it is, tap on it to turn it off.

My iPhone 4s refuses to play sound when the headphones are not in. When the headphones are in however, it works perfectly fine! This is most annoying, could someone please help me I have not dropped it and it has not been in any contact with liquid.

QT player version: 7.2
I have all system requirments and updates also allready unselected derctX and selected safe mode, still all I get when loading the movie trailer from QT websight is the white box with QT logo in middle, sometime the logo will also have ?mark over it. I figured it was just taking its own sweet time loading so I wated it out. 4 hours later there was still no change. you'd think apple would have fixed or resolved this problem since it has been ongoing for last two or more years.
Could someone please help me?????????

Do you get sound on any apps e.g. Music and Videos but not others ? If you do then have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. I was using my wifi last night when I got an error message stating my ip address had been taken over. Then safari stopped working and i can no longer access the internet. I looked at my ip address and it states 000.000.000....can someone please help?
Sounds like a bogus pop up. In any case power down your Mac, your modem, your router. Then power back up in 1 minute sequence; modem, router, Mac.

I would to a Restore. Select the iPod in iTunes. Go to the Summary tab for the iPod. There is a button there to do a Restore. This will erase the iPod, re-install its software, and set it to default settings. After Restore complete, try playing songs on the iPod again.
If THAT does not fix the problem, and it's not bad headphones (since you also tried the "speaker"), there is probably a hardware problem on the iPod. All 7th gen nanos are still under warranty. If you have an Apple Store nearby, you should take it to the store's Genius Bar. To minimize waiting, you can make a reservation on store's web page.
