HI, I have six updates on my iPad and am not able to install them because it gives me a messages to switch to South African store before purchasing. I am in South African and don't understand how can my account link with the US store. How do I access these updates?

Try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select South Africa.
