TS1702 iTunes freezes on my iPhone 3GS - and I can't reinstall it!
ITunes launches ok but freezes whenever I try to view any albums, podcasts or other content.
And I can't reinstall it as that doesn't seem to be an option.
Have you tried closing the iTunes app completely and seeing if it works ok when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with iTunes 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the iTunes app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

Thank you for your question. iOS 7 requires iTunes 11.1. First, I recommend trying to obtain the update by going to the iTunes menu and selecting Check for Updates.

Once the file downloads, double click on the installation file that downloaded to initiate the installation.

An iPad and iPhone cannot connect via Bluetooth unless you are trying to use a Personal Hotspot feature on your iPhone or have one of the few third-party apps that allow limited file transfer or device-to-device gaming. Unless you're attempting one of these, then any previous "pairing" was probably illusory. If you are trying to use such a thing, tell us which one and someone may be able to provide suggestions.

You can try, but despite what they'll tell you in the jailbreaking community, restoring the device does NOT always return the phone to factory condition, especially if the modem baseband has been altered. The vast majority of users have bricked their phones and have been left high and dry by the jailbreaking community.

Itunes 7.3 does not open and i can't reinstall older versions
the software upgrade made me download the last itunes version but it does not open (apparently i have an old version of macosx) and since then i can not use itunes. the old versions do not install. how could i reinstall itunes on my computer

and this whole stupid thing only happened because i couldn't get vids i'd bought to play on my iTunes... so i followed the instructions to upgrade my quicktime player ... and once i HAD upgraded my quicktime player (for $30!!!) i couldn't use it, cause my operating system was old (as in: i bought this computer 9 months ago!)... and so then i thought, "gee, maybe if i uprade my iTunes, the expensive new quicktime pro will work, and i can actually see the videos I bought!"

Somebody made an audible iTunes account of my itunes and its was save on his Laptop, when I tried to de authorised his laptop it won't let me do it.. iTunes is asking me about my username and password of my audible account.. But as far as I know I don't have an audible acount. When I tried to deauthorised his laptop there's a message that's says "Audible accounts, File origin: hardrive of this computer.. I just found out that all my backup data was in his computer! How can I deauthorised his laptop? I don't even know the username and password. Pls help! When I check my my diagnostic it says Passcode lock: false? And I used to put my phone on airplane mode and its says airplane mode: false? As well on apple diagnostic? The rechabilty is 2, accessory used:false.. This friend of mine used to go to my house, he use my wifi every time.. And so as our iPhones.. There's a lot of time that that he used our computer aswell..

I am pretty sure my login information is correct because i see my previous backup on the phone. Any idea's what might cause this?
If you get the message "Backup not successful", I had the same problem.
My solution was to turn off some apps (Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>manage Storage, tap my device name in the Backups section, then look under Backup options) and try a manual backup. If it didn't work, turn off a few more apps and try a backup. Keep doing that until the backup works. Then try adding in some of the last batch of apps that were previously turned off - the objective is to find the app that causes the backup to fail. For me, I suspect that the one app I found had a bad data file that, when included in the backup, caused the backup to quit.
This can be a long process if you have a lot of apps that you originally turned on for backups. -
Can you shuffle a single playlist when using iphone 3GS and nike+?
Ok...can't seem to figure this out. Been using the nano 4g with nike plus and I can set the playback mode to shuffle on the ipod... when I start a work out with nike plus and select my "running" playlist, it retains the shuffle - meaning it shuffles the songs of that single playlist.
Started using my iphone 3gs and I can't figure out how to set the playback of a SINGLE playlist to shuffle (I see the option for shuffle across ALL playlists) but I only want my "running" playlist to shuffle.
Am I missing something?

Nike+ and the iPod functionality of your 3Gs are both apps which are capable of running in the background, per se. Start your iPod app, shuffle the playlist of your choice and THEN start the Nike+ app. When you get into your workout, select "now playing." This will stick with your shuffled songs. -

Your expectations are not based in reality.
Your G4 will not run iCloud. There will be no upgrade from Mobile Me to iCloud for you with that machine unless you do it manually, and only mail will work without further expenditure.
