TS1702 Just uninstalled Yahoo messenger, now my phone will not go to home screen, nor can I turn it off. Phone is completely inoperable on incoming calls
I just downloaded Yahoo messenger app, then uninstalled it. I cannot get to my home screen now. I can move around in settings but cannot get to home screen. Cannot turn off, nor can I receive any calls.
press and hold the home button and the lock button together for atleast 10 secs or till the time u see the apple logo,once you see the apple logo,let go off the keys... good luck

Although possibly not related to your problem, I will remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. As for your problem, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Just installed Lion and now my trackpad will not zoom
Just installed Lion and now my trackpad will not zoom in and out and the direction of going up and down have reversed.
I have had Lion since it was first released July 20th, and I have noticed that I can not zoom in on everything that is on the internet, some things seem to not be able to be zoomed in on. Are you saying that no matter what website you go to (this one for eample) the zoom function does not work?

I have Windows 8 pro on my computer . I un-installed itunes on my computer to re-install itunes 7.1.1 Now the system will not allow the re-install. Can anyone help?
I have an HP Officejet Pro 7580 similar to the 8600 you have and after upgrading to Mountain Lion it wouldn't work. HP support site said download updates for Mountain Lion from App Store not their site so I went to software update but there were NO UPDATES FOR 10.8. Tried a million things and could not get printer to work. So I restored back to Lion figuring at least printer worked then only now I can't get it to work with old settings either. I am sick to death of claims by Apple and peripheral manufacturers that everything is compatible all you have to do is get updates well in this case THERE ARE NONE TO BE GOT and I don't have time to **** about trying to find 'work arounds'. There shouldnt be a need for work-arounds. Unless the updates are ready DONT release the new OS. You shouldn't have to be an IT tech to make basic things like printing work. I see also the HP 8600 is even sold by appstore so there is no reason why it shouldn't work with minimum fuss.

Just tried to upgrade to SnowLeopard with newly purchased software disc. iLife failed to download and when I tried to restart the computer, it will not do so--just get a grey screen with the lines going around and around. Any ideas about how to get it to start?

This is a brand new machine that I just purchased from Apple. It was delivered yesterday
The old computer is an old PowerMac G5, but my OS X install disc is a retail version of 10.5.
I also tried the OS X 10.5 install disc that came with my MacBook Pro (2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Dual).
Same issue - nothing but a grey screen when the system tries to boot from the DVD -

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I just ran my updates for my MacBook Pro and now my iphoto won't open. I get a pop up that say's You can't use this version of the applicaton IPhoto with this version of os x. You have iphoto 9.2.3.
This screenshot shows which previous versions of iPhoto are compatible with Mavericks. It also indicates which versions qualify for a free upgrade to iPhoto 9.5.1 and which require a purchase:
Note 1: every day more users are reporting problems with iPhoto 8.1.2 so I've included it in the non compatible category.
Note 2: If your previous version of iPhoto was iPhoto 7 (08) or earlier you'll need to download and run the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1 application on the library before opening it with iPhoto 9.5.1.

While talking on the phone this morning, it was fully charged, the screen went blank and I could no longer use the phone. I tried turing it off and then on, but it still ghad a blank screen. I even tried charging the phone, but it still has a blank screen.
I am sorry to hear about your phone.
You could try connecting it to your laptop and see if itune recognises the phone.
If it does then make a backup of your phone.
You could then restore it and see if it helps.
It shouldn't be much of a problem if its a software issue but if something went wrong with the hardware then you might have to go to an Apple store.

I just update Adobe CC which included PS CC, PS CC 2014 and LR5. LR5 flashed the start up screen very very quickly and disappears. It never launches. Your assistance is appreciated.
That worked:
1. Close Adobe Creative Cloud completely.
2. Empty the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache
3. Launch Lightroom - you should be asked to Sign in to Adobe CC. -

Just installed 7.2 now usb drives will not mount
Only one slot in the back works. they all worked, front and back, untill I upgraded to 10.7.0 and did the updates to 10.7.2.
I have a Mac Pro, Early 2009, 8Gb ram.I'd put the blame on Lion changed USB external drive support for some types/makes bridges used.
For some, FW stopped but USB still worked.
Do USB ports work iwth other devices or none at all?
Willing to buy and install PCIe USB card?

My daughter has an iphone 3gs and it required an update. So i connected the iphone to itunes for the update and the iphone locked up . I had to reset the iphone back to factory settings and now the iphone will not activate , Please advise what i can do to get this working for her ?

Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
