TS1702 The youtube app that came pre-italled on my iPad just has disappeared! I did not delete it consciously. How do I get it back. I tried going to App Store but what I installed is not nearly as good and I do not like it at all! How do I get orig?
Can anyone tell me how to get the original YouTube application back on my iPad?
If you've updated to iOS 6 then the YouTube app is no longer included - you will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version), or try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)
If you are on iOS 5 and you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders and you've tried searching for it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the righ), then is it hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > YouTubebeing 'off' ?

Why? Well, I am very busy and wish to install at my leisure even though I have purchased the App (required at a specific day in the month in order to appear on my business accounts).
Thanks.There is a difference in what Kappy stated and what you stated. A major paid upgrade (v2.x to v3.0), yes, costs money, as it would in any other delivery stream. Updates (v3.0 to v3.1) to a a major version are free.
Most apps sold through the Mac App Store (MAS) are the type that use the simple drag & drop installation. Those are downloaded directly to the designated apps folder and installation is done. Large pro-type apps download an installer to your Apps folder. Those you can install at your leisure. The MAS does not have a lot of apps using this type of installation.
Be sure to always backup your MAS purchases, because there is no guarantee that the app will always be available for download in the future and it is your responsibility to archive copies. -

I'm getting the free Lion download for new Macs from the Mac App Store, but am not ready to install it yet. It appears that apps (including Lion?) from the App Store automatically install themselves. Is there any way to save an App Store download (.dmg?) for later installation without having it automatically install? I asked Apple Support via chat, and they said it could be installed later but couldn't tell me how.
The Lion download is different than small apps. What you get with Lion is an installer. But be sure to make an extra copy because after using the installer it deletes itself.

The youtube icon that came with my ipad is gone. I recently upgraded my pad. Could it have happened then?
The youTube App is gone because Apple's license to use it has expired.
YouTube is still accessible on the iPad via Safari (or any other browser) at http://m.youtube.com/
Sign in at this site and your favorites, etc. will still be present. Save the site icon to the iPad Home screen and you will have a replacement for the youTube App.
There is also an iPhone youTube App in the App Store which works on the iPad as well as the Jasmine App. -
I have a MacBook with OS X 10.5.8 and I purchased a Mtn Lion OS up grade and it keeps telling me to install via the Mac App Store, but I can't get the Mac App Store installed on the MacBook it wants at least 10.6.6 so I seem to be stuck . Help

iOS is the operating system for iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad. Your Mac runs on OS X. You have installed OS X 10.10.2 Yosemite.
I have the most recent version of the Kindle app for Mac from the Mac App Store (MAS) v. 1.10.6 and it works fine. Look again in the MAS for the Kindle app, does it say Get or Open on the button?
Are you confusing Kindle for Mac with Kindle for iOS. The iOS version won't run on your Mac. -

The App Store in iTunes is for iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad) and the Mac App Store for OS X. -
Why does the Mac App Store invite me to install already installed software?
When I view Purchased Items at the Mac App Store, the button for some of my installed apps reads "Installed" but for others it reads "Install." If I click on the Install button for these apps I get a message that reads: We could not complete your purchase - [this software] is already installed on your computer. Choose Software Update ... to check for available updates." But, Software Update has nothing for me...
Still a puzzle after several hours...

Installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo may help this.
Restart your Mac after installing the combo then try downloading Lion.
It's ok to install the combo even though you are already running v10.6.8
BEFORE you do this make sure your Mac meets Lion's requirements:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OSX v10.6.6 or later (V10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available spare
