I would be concerned too if I was not able to gain access to my iPad. If you are unsure what your Apple ID is, you can find the steps in this article:

You can reset a forgotten Apple ID password by going to the following link:

Also, you may be able to skip the step of entering your Apple ID if you are setting up the iPad for the first time.

I have a MacBook with a 2.4GHz intel core 2 duo processor; 2 GB memory; and 120 GB available. I am currently running Lion OS10.7.5. Yet the app store tells me that my computer is not compatible with Mountain Lion. Can someone help me?

My iPad tells me that my account is not valid for use in the Australian store
Even though my iphone & my computer are using the Australian store. How can I get my ipad to use the Australian store (it always did before - not sure why it has started doing this?). I've updated the software, restarted it. I'm wondering if I maybe disassociate it from my computer and then reassociate it if that might work? Does anyone know if you have to wait 90 days before you can reassociate with the same ID?

While in Japan on a trip, I updated my iPhone to iOS6. Now, when I try to update my apps, I'm told that my account is not good in the Japan store I must switch to the USA store. How do I do that so I can download and update apps at home in the USA?
Your Apple ID is tied to the US store. Log out of the store, then trying logging back in.

When I try to update my apps on the phone, a message says that my account is not valid in the U.S. and I must switch to the Canadian store. But HOW???? No trouble updating my similar ipad apps.

I have some updates due on some Apps I have downloaded but when I try to update I get a message saying that my account is not in the UK store so must switch to Ireland before purchasing. Does anybody know how you change stores? I did not do this deliberately!

After moving from Canada to the US, getting a new iPhone 5C, and restoring my backup from iCloud, I can't update my apps. I get an error message that my account is not valid in the Canadian App store and I must change to the US store. How do I do that?

Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
You must have a verified billing address & be located in the country whose store you are trying to use. -

Probably you have never experienced this, but I have lost the ability to iMessage.
When I try to turn on iMessage, it tells me that "an error occurred while trying to turn on iMessage."
It's not a huge deal, but people with iPhones can't text me back unless they try to re-send after finding out that their message wasn't delivered.

To solve a different problem, the folks at the store replaced my iPhone 4S.

When I try to download music an error message appears that says "We could not complete your itunes store request. An unknown error occured (-1202)

I have an old ipod touch, and have just purchased a new 4th Gen one. How do I get my Apps from the old one to the new one. I've had to wipe the hard drive on my Pc so they aren't in my I tunes.
- Transfer your iTunes' purchases to the new computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- Try making a backup of the iPod by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting Backup.
- Connect your new iPod and restore the iPod from that backup if you wish.
