Within Firefox 4, I right click to open a new tab on a link pointing to a file with .pps extension. The new tab is full of special characters. Looks like the .pps file is being displayed. And the browser is frozen.

To restore your iPhone, connect it to iTunes and hold down the Power/Sleep button simultaneously with the Home button. Keep both buttons pressed down until your iPhone powers off. When your iPhone turns off, release the Power/Sleep button, but keep the Home button depressed until iTunes detects the iPhone (it should detect restore mode).
Once iTunes detects your iPhone in restore mode, hit the “Restore” button to get your crashed out iPhone back to working order. -
HHow do I remove the icon? And i tried redownloading but I couldn't open it as it's blank icon stayed there any suggestions?

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, there is a blank app icon on the home screen. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

Does ANY player BESIDES iTunes stream from my iPad 2!?!?
I have an iPad 2 iOS 4.3.3 and apple tv 2 with latest update.I have tried buzz player,servio,vlc streamer but all I get is audio on my apple tv. I am extremely frustrated as I bought the apple tv for this purpose and feel I just paid for a useless audio player , as I don't want to listen to music on my tv.
Does anyone have any actual,useful experience with this that can sort me out?
What am I missing here? Before I bought it I read up on it and did not think I would experience this problem.No that's not what i'm saying at all. A lot of 3rd party apps DO work, every single one i've tried has. iTunes may sell them, but they don't make them (hence 3rd party) and have no control over whether the developer enables video airplay. No you shouldn't need to know what API's are, but i'm merely pointing out that Apple released the function to developers and that it's then in their court.
It's not the product that's faulty in this case.
You would need to ask a developer why they make false claims. I have never seen one, but sometimes it may slip by.
Upgrading is a good general practice, and no it isn't of 'limited functionality'. You can mirror almost anything to the ATV. I've only seen a few that have blocked it, and it's for licensing reasons which is out of Apple's control.
Just because you don't like an answer doesn't mean it's unhelpful. Enough said. -
I've just signed up to iTunes Match as I have songs on my iPhone 4 which wont sync with iTunes as they are from CDs but I can't see my music in the cloud now. Anyone had the same problem and have an easy fix?
What fixed it for me:
On your computer, open iTunes > My iPhone (or whatever name you gave your iPhone) > "Music" page
Uncheck "Sync Music"
Click "Sync" button (bottom right)
Let it run and finish
Uncheck the box for every song, playlist, etc.
Click "Sync" button (bottom right) (This step may be unnecessary, but I did it and got the result I wanted.)
Let it run and finish
Check the boxes for the music you want on your iPhone
Click "Sync" button (bottom right)
Let it run and finish
See if that doesn't work for you. I tried a lot of things that did nothing, but this seems to have fixed it, and quickly. -
The camera on my iPhone 4 isn't working and hasn't for quite sometime. I have updated the phone to IOS 6 and it hasn't made any difference.
When you use the icon that appears at the bottom of the screen or the camera icon on the main screen all you see is the camera shutter.I have tried to restore the camera and that hasn't made any difference. I am trying to import cr2files from the camera into lightroom 5 and keep getting an error message saying Lightroom can not read the files and therefore will not import them. Has anyone had a similar problem….thanks
If you are having the same problem, i.e. a disk permission problem, open your favorite search engine and search on, "change disk permissions", and I think you'll find plenty of information on how to fix the problem. This is a Lightroom forum. Your problem is with your operating system. There is no sense in rewriting instructions that are already available if you do a simple search.

I have just updated to ISO 8 and my app icons are not displaying the correct icon but just a generic icon. Anyone had a similar problem?
That happened to me for a short period of time after I updated. It didn't do it with all apps, but it did it with a few here and there. Try a few basic standard troubleshooting steps. Close all apps and reset the iPad.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
You can also try resetting all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.
Hopefully it will be something simple, but don't rule out restoring the iOS software, if nothing else works, but start with this easy stuff first. -

can someone assist me with a solution to the problem with my iphone 5. I upgraded to IOS 6.1.4 and since then i have had the problem of No Sim. I restored to the factory settings using i tunes as i have my back up on my pc but still the same problem. I have swapped sim and my Sim is working on other iphone with ios 6.1.3
Try a new SIM from your carrier. If that doesn't work, make a Genius Bar appointment and get your phone evaluated.
