I have installed Logic Pro and t seems to have wreitten over my GArageband 09 functions. when i try to reinstall Garageband alone from the bundle on teh installation DVD it wont let me check OR uncheck the Garageband box (stage 4 in Apple's isntructions above) . It does let me check teh other boxes for iPhoto etc.
Do i need to reinstall teh complete bundle for iLIfe 09? Will this mean I lose any of my material? eg photos in iphoto or clips in imovie?

I am trying to restore my playlists that disappeared yesterday. I have followed the instrutions on the support page but when I get to step 7, I can't find File>Library>Import Playlists. What am I missing?

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be copied & renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to an earlier state. Look for a recent .tmp file that is similar in size to the .itl files in the Previous iTunes Libraries folder. If it has happened repeatedly you may want the earliest such file generated since the last iTunes upgrade.
If applicable, see iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
I've noticed more of these missing library posts of late and a common factor to most since I started asking is AVG Anti-Virus. It seems in some cases it might be at least part of the reason why the library file disappears. Try excluding the iTunes folder from any AV scanning process.

Hopefully someone can help.... I have an Iphone 5 and want to create a music video playlist on my phone so then i can play through my apple tv... but when i make a playlist in itunes and try to add it over to my iphone it wont let me sync the playlist...? I have already added the music videos to my iphone so that is not the problem.... i cant seem to figure out how to make a playlist for them... IE: to make the videos play consecutively in the order i want without stopping after each video and gong back to the list.... this is what i have had to resort to make it work....what i want to do....is be able to make a playlist of videos on my iphone 5....take my apple tv to friends houses and with wifi....set up apple tv and play videos at the party and not have to stand by with the remote and find a new video to play stopping the music between the songs/videos....very annoying....and have spent over 4 hours one day and an hour and a half today on the phone today with a sr. advisor with apple and they have no clue.... this seems sooooo simple.... please somebody that really knows how to do this....i will be indebted forever...............

I have a CS3 Creativ Suite. - I have uninstalled it fram XP the corret way. Now i have installed Windows 7 and try to reinstall the creative suite. It accept the first CD an the serial number, but when i get to the second CD it stop. Any one who can help?
If you have Windows 7 Pro you can try to install CS3 in XP mode.

Sounds like to me that you have a bootcamp partition with Windows and have the default Windows to boot first.
I think there is a Windows Control Panel or other setting while your in Windows to set the OS X as the first boot option.
Also in OS X there is a option under the System Preferences to set OS X as the first boot option. -
I am trying to sync my itunes with my ipod, but when I get to step 3 of syncing, it stops. Also, I deleted all the songs on my ipod, and when I go to my music in my ipod the songs are all still there and in a grey color and I'm not able to select them. How do I completely clear my ipod music, and how can I solve the syncing problem?
Sync works the same way it always has, connect the device, select the content desired to sync and sync.
All the media should be in iTunes already, iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.
If this is a new computer, move the content from the old computer to the new computer. -
I have purchased podcasts on itunes and they show up in the podcast library,
but when I sync my ipod touch they will not go on to the ipod itself?
any help?Are you positive these podcasts are configured to sync to your iPod Touch? Have you double checked the configuration for podcasts from under the iPod's Podcasts configuration tab in iTunes?
To access this tab, plug your iPod in and click on its name from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes. This will bring you to the iPod's Summary tab. Locate the Podcasts tab along the top and select it. Here you can choose how and what podcasts sync to your iPod.

I am running LR 4.4 on a iMac with OS X (Yosemite). Everything works in the develop module but when i get to the print module, clicl on print and the apple print dialogue box opens, and I click onn print there, the app closes. It has now happened about a dozen times. I have downloaded LR 4.4 from the internet but the problem continues.
Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
Could be many things, we should start with this...

1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
Do they launch OK while in Safe Mode? -

The issue is that it is tied to your friends Apple ID and not yours...
Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID. -

On the morning of a charity event that I was running for 350 inner school children my phone asked if I wanted to do an update. I clicked yes and life as I know it has changed. The whole charity event was messed up because I had everyone’s assignment in the phone and the lollipop update made it hard to navigate. One of many things that is wrong is everything I do, I get a pop up asking me if I want to use One Touch Wizard. No matter how many times I click always use one touch, I have to go through 2 extra steps for every move I want to make on the phone. I called Verizon and they stated that they are sending everyone new phones because this update was so bad. However, they cannot send me one because on day 3 after I bought the phone I dropped it and it has a tiny crack in the screen. This crack has never effected the phone and my problems are simply because of this update. In approximately 18 hours of tech support, I have been but on hold for 15 to 45 minutes at a time with no one coming back until I ultimately just gave up and hung up. Often I was promised a call back and it never happened once. Again, I had to call back and start all over. I would call back and have to start the support process all over again. Because of all of my time and the data I had to use for updates and such a Verizon rep gave me 1 gig of data per month for 12 months. I called another time and they said the rep was not authorized to do this because I was on a loyalty plan. So this means that when a Verizon rep tells a customer something you cannot believe it because they can take it back. The only reason I am on this plan is because I paid for several months while I had a non working phone. Verizon sent me 18 straight defective phones. They were deemed defective by the manufacturer. Verizon has no respect for all the time I wasted and I almost lost my job because of it. I now have a phone that is effecting my job and my life and Verizon wants me to pay for a new one. I feel that I am being strong armed and this is a principle thing for me. I decided to post here before I file reports with the BBB, Attorney General and the FCC. I look forward to Verizon’s reply. He said I can file all of the reports I want and I will just keep getting calls from him. I can understand why my phone couldn't be replaced because of the small crack. I guess I have to eat that one (but it sucks because the lollipop update is what caused the problems) but what about all of the data overage I had to pay for for trying to fix this phone because of a lollipop update. I dont think it is fair to have to pay that as well. In addition, because I have an east coast phone number but live on the west coast, I cannot have tech support after 8pm. Verizon has cut this off. Im very dissatisfied and I have been a customer of Verizon for 13 years. Im hoping for a response this time.

I have just downloaded Firefox 4 and was trying to install it. I need to get to my old browser but I cannot get away from Firefox. How the devil do you close it? It covers the entire screen and I cannot even get to dock to change anything. I'm already fed up with program and intend to delete the whole thing as soon as you tell me how I can regain control of my computer. Turning the computer off does no good because Firefox is right in my face when I turn it on again. Did you install a persona?
You can uninstall your current Persona and revert to the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I am having problems with safari. The screen is darkened and I can't use touch screen or tabe. But I can use the address bar and go to anouther website. Other then that I can see website but can't touch nothing, how do I fix
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Or if those do not work - quit Safari
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
I have had the iPod for about 2 years, and never had this problem. When I plug into iTunes I get the "iTunes cannot connect with this iPod because of pass code" message, but I can't enter my pass code because the screen won't change! If someone could please help, it would be appriciated!
With your iPod still connected to your PC, try a hard reset. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If still no luck, try placing the iPod in Recovery Mode using the instructions in this Apple support document and then restoring it to factory defaults in iTunes.

I have installed mac keeper and it has initially found numerous issues? with my Mac. What can I do with the existing software to check that my mac is running at its optimum and get rid of these issues.
By uninstalling mackeeper. That software is garbage and will cause more problems then good. Get rid of it immediately.
