I just updated to OS X 10.7.5 and Aperture 3.4, but program will not open, keeps telling me I to restore windows
Quit Aperture, if it is running/ hanging.
Remove the file com.apple.Aperture.plist from the folder
Your home folder > Library > Preferences
The User Library is hidden by default. You can reveal it from the Finder's "GO" menu:
Finder > Go, then hold down the options ⌥ key, until the Library appears in the drop-down menu, select it and open the Library folder. Then go to the "Preferences" sub folder and remove the file
your Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist.
After removing the user preferences file, you will have to reset the Preferences, you selected in Aperture's preferences panel.

Help! itunes downloaded but program will not open

I updated to OS X Yosemite but iPhoto will not download, is saying because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled. Now I cannot access ANY of my photos...how can I fix this????
If you are logged in with the Apple ID that was used to purchase iPhoto or to set up the computer if it came preinstalled then quit iPhoto, backup your iPhoto library and drag the iphoto application to the trash (do not empty the trash yet) and then go to the App store and install iPhoto
If that does not resolve contact App store support - link is on the right of the App store window

Well, to paraphrase the old line, "What're you gonna believe, that email or your own lying eyes?"
The first thing I'd recommend trying is to power down your iPad (press & hold Sleep/Wake until the red OFF slider appears, then slide it to shut down), and then boot it back up and try again. You're resetting a bunch of state signals by doing that and this simple action (the first of a series recommended by Apple in your Users Guide) will quite often clear up these sorts of problems. -

I have upgraded to OS X Mavericks and my MacBook keeps crashing and my numbers and pages programs will not open as they are being updated continuously
The next time the crash happens, note the date and time the problem occurred, then go to Applications/Utilities/Console and copy the log starting at the time of the crash. Paste the log in a reply. Please do not use a screen shot as they can be hard to read. If there are repeated runs of the same messages, please post only one run. Be selective about what you post and don’t post huge amounts. I downloaded firefox 3.6.9 but it will not open, says it's corrupted.
Pretty simple, little icon kept popping up urging me to download the newest version of firefox, I tried twice with the same result. It seems to download just fine, but when I go to run the program it says it's corrupted and won't allow me to continue. Never had an issue upgrading before, so I really don't have any idea why it's not allowing it now.

Programs will not open from Dock
I have updated my Macbook Pro with Yosemite which has led to - a lot. Programs will not open from Dock, they are just revealed in Finder. Scrolling with mousebuttons in a browser will zoom instead of scroll, the courser will not change after changing tool in Indesign. Just to mention a few problems i have discovered so far. I think I was an idiot to uppgrade to Yosemite. PLEASE HELP!
Open Disk Utility and Repair Permissions, then quit DU and Restart the MBP. If that does not clear the issues, restart again holding the Command and R keys, and from Utilities on the menu bar select Install Mac OS X. That will reinstall Yosemite but leave your content and settings intact. See if that repairs whatever is broken.

I have successfully downloaded iTunes several times, but it will not open for me. The iTunes icon appears on the desktop and in the program files and I can click on it, but nothing happens. Is there something wrong with my computer. It has worked on this computer in the past.
I have the same issue!!I use itunes all the time, downloaded some music earlier today. Now the icon is there but when I click on it nothing happens. This is so incredibly frustrating. Went to itunes store via google, and tried to access my account; a window appeared asking if it was ok for itunes store to access my computer, said ok, nothing happened. Recently updated itunes, no problems until now. The only other thing I've done differently is download some songs from a different site today. One thing, when I was trying to listen to a sample from itunes store earlier, nothing happened. The song title appeared, and the little speaker symbol appeared next to the song, but it never played. I ended by closing it down, figuring I'd try later. Any ideas? Oh, I also went into Add and Remove programs and ran the repair feature for Itunes. Itunes is supposed to automatically load when I hook up my Ipod and nothing.

I have downloaded, extracted and installed Elements 12 but it will not open nor can I find the Adobe file in the file where I installed it to.. When I've tried to download and install again it says that the "Object Already Exists." It may exists, but it is not visible in the file or in my list of programs on the Startup Menu.

You should not have to uninstall Premiere Elements 12/12.1 in order to install and run Premiere Elements 13 on the same computer unless your computer is overloaded and the computer resources are compromised. Just use one program at a time.
Can you still use 12/12.1 on this same computer that will not let you use 13?
What specific Window operating system are you using?
Let us go through the usual drill...
1. Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
2. Are you using a pen and tablet device instead of a mouse?
3. Did you install the program with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
4. Disable the SLCache Folder found in Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit
Local Disk C
Program Files (x86)
Common Files
Adobe
and in the Adobe Folder should be the SL Cache Folder that you delete or disable by renaming the Folder
from SLCache to SLCacheOLD.
5. Are you running the program as Administrator and is the latest version of QuickTime installed on the same
computer as Premiere Elements 13?
