TS2755 Frequently when I send text messages from my iPhone, the response comes to my IPad and not my phone. Why?
Very often, when I send a text from my IPhone, the response comes to my IPad. Why does this happen???
This is an iMessage, not a text message as in SMS/MMS via your cell phone carrier's network.
This means you have iMessage enabled on each device with the same Apple ID. This is by design and intention when using the same Apple ID on multiple Apple computers and iOS devices. I have iMessage enabled on my Mac, on my iPhone, and on my iPad with the same Apple ID and all my iMessages are kept synced between all three.

You need to link your iPhone number to Messages - and Facetime if you use it. For Messages go to Settings>Messages>Send and Receive at>You can be reached by iMessage at. If your phone number is showing there, select it as your Contact address. If it doesn't appear in there, take a look at the end of this article for help.

Regarding text messaging, if I send a message from my iPhone, the reply goes to my ipad, or mini ipad. How can I stop this from happening?
Go to Settings/ Messaging/ Send & Receive on each device to set the contact points to be reached at, and to set the "from" address when you start a new message. It sounds like your iPhone might be sending messages out as one thing (e.g. an iCloud address) but set to not receive replies only to your phone number. Make sure you review settings on each device since you may, or may not, want to have them common.

That is an interesting issue that your contact is showing up as a different number on another iPhone. If it is using iMessage, I would check to see that you are starting a new conversation with the right number by going to Settings > Messages and look at the Start New Conversation. That also would be a good idea to delete the current conversation thread and start a new one to test it out further.

when i send a message from my iphone 4 to my wifes iphone 4 it sends it to her and back to me !
Go to settings on your device. Settings, messages, send and receive. You might have her email in this area selected unmark and / or delete. You must do the same on her device. Good luck

When I send text messages to my wife's iphone I receive the sent message to my iphone. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?
Having seperate apple ID's will fix it, but here's how to fix it without adding a new ID.
Go to settings, messages, send and receive, be sure your number is the only one checked. If her number is checked as well you will receive your texts to her as well. -

What do you currently have selected in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Start New Conversations From set to ? if your email address then tap on the phone number line instead to select it

Under Settings > Messages > Receive At... (on your iPhone), is your Apple ID email address listed?

Why am I getting message send failure from my iPad to a non-iPhone
When I was in the Apple store on Friday with my iPad I asked the text the same question. we turned on my iPad and it allowed me to text text message anybody I wanted regardless of what the device. When I left apple store while I'm in the parking lot and I checked it again before I left the area and it still allowed me to text message anybody. Now it is not. Why can I not send text messages from my iphone? I can make and receive calls and can receive texts but my iphone comes up with a (in a red circle) and says that the text cannot be sent. Thanks for any help.

Extract text messages from my Iphone 5
Is there a way to extract text messages from my Iphone 5 so I can save them and print them if necessary?
You can capture a screen shot of the text message on your iPhone. Simply view it, and briefly hold the on/off and home buttons together until you hear a shutter clicking sound.
The photo will appear in Camera Roll, and you can then save it as you would a photo. -
When I send a text message from my iPhone response only comes back to my iPhone . If I send from iPad, response only comes back to iPad. Whichever I used last is where response comes. Responses are not coming to both anymore!
On both devices when you go to settings>messages>send and recieve how are poeple contacting you on each device?. e.g. email or mobile number.

Check Settings>Messages>Receive At>Caller ID, make sure it's set to your phone number not your email address.

And when i am trying to send text message from my phone to a non-iphone devices it just showing a green (text background & loading bar), but still after some time the message was not getting delivered.
As per the apple support. I have already put +91 for all my numbers even deleted & create new contacts.
