i have read many articles for this problem but there is no solution, some say restart the router, others say uncheck the option to sync iphone over wi-fi, others suggest not hitting the "done" button after setting up homeshare on itunes, NONE of them work. My itunes library disappears from ym apple tv 2 after 5 minutes or so
Did not work. I've selected iMessage to ON and left it. After a few hours I recieved a message "activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again". This has been going on for the past 3 days.

At one point, all my Word icons turned to Microsoft orange icons. I resolved that issue by uninstalling Microsoft Office 2010 and not the starter. I have NEVER had a problem opening doc email attachments I have received. This is a new issue. I used to just double-click on the attachment icon and it opened. Now it gives me nothing. I can't seem to find Microsoft Word as a choice in the drop-down box either. I also tried selecting Microsoft virtual whatever it was, as was suggested in Google, but that did nothing either. I just want to go back to being able to double-click on my attachments and having them pop open. What went wrong in computerland?
Actually, I solved it myself by compacting my inbox. Yes, it was Thunderbird. All my docs can now be opened. Word starter came with my computer already installed. Never had any trouble in two years until recently. I can now pick Microsoft Word virtual handler and it opens it. I still don't know what happened to the Word icon in the drop down box. Maybe it was never there to begin with, because I NEVER had to pick anything to open an attachment before. I just double-clicked on it and it opened.

Not sure why it takes almost 1-2 minutes for Firefox to fully open and load. It's also not an internet issue, as Safari opens immediately.

I'm using OS 10.6.8 and Mail 4.5. When I receive mails with attachments which are visible the save button doesn't work. And some contacts occasionally have problems opening files sent by me using Mail too. This was never a problem on pre-Intel Mac. A real Mac **** up ! Any ideas ?
Can you drag and drop the attachments visible in the email to the Desktop OK or does that fail ?
Re the sending: Are these recipients on Mac's or PC's as the file type could be an issue, if on Mac's then try setting the Mail Preferences Composing setting to Plain Text not Rich Text and see if that improves things. -
I am having trouble with the music from my bluetooth "skipping" on my IPhone 5. I thought that this was an antiquated problem with the new technology. It's very frustrating to purchase all of this music and expect great sound and playability and get "skipping". Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
Does the issue occur when listening to the media using the speaker or wired headphones? If it does, the issue is with the media itself.
If it does not, it's likely a bad connection or interference. -
I have Calendar v 7.0 and Entourage 12.3.6 2008 on OS X 10.9.2. I cannot import Entourage events into Calendar - this was never an issue with iCal. Whats happened and how can I import details into Calendar or do I need iCal back?

CAUSE
This problem occurs because of a problem in the FixCSS.exe tool. When you install Windows XP SP2, the installer runs the FixCSS.exe tool to correct some mild corruptions. However, the FixCSS.exe tool does not delete the temporary subkeys in registry keys. Therefore, the temporary subkeys confuse the Plug and Play manager and many devices are incorrectly enumerated.

I have shared itunes on my other computers, but for some reason it is not working on mynew one. I have turned the firewall off on both and have done everything else, and it still won't work. Please help!
Scan the Support Community sites. Apple TV losing connection is prevalent. The many postings point out the problem occurs with Apple TV1,2and 3; with different brands of router including Airport Extreme; from current and past versions of iTunes; after varying periods of working well.....minutes, hours, days; losing connection with Home Sharing and loosing Airplay; whether the router and Apple TV are in same room or separated by distance; after trying innumerable posted 'fixes'; after exchanging for a new Apple TV.
Readers, please don't post a fix until you check it works for atleast a week. -

Why is OS X A(10.9.2) running so slow? I never had problems before I updated my OS...
I did the upgrade to the latest OS, an EVERYTHING is running so slow! It takes several minutes for my Mac to load when it first starts up, and the same for opening any program like iPhotos, Firefox, etc. Even while on the internet, it is taking a long time to load pages that before were almost instant. I went through my files and deleted ones that I did not need, like pictures and music....what else can I do to speed things up?
You shoudn't be doing any file deleting if you do not know why or what you are deleting.

No, it does not. It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer. The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

Since the Os update...certainly wasn't an upgrade....my iPad 2 has been slow on wifi. About 70% slower. Looking out there I only found ideas from May 2012, no help. This clearly is part of Apple's poor upgrade.

At the risk of sounding unsympathetic (I am), what made you jump to the conclusion above? As you observed, reports of similar issues date to 2012. Since others (including me) have no similar problems, an analytical approach would suggest that the problem is limited to your iPad.
What measurement did you use to determine your 70% number? Do you have 3G? If so, is that faster?
You could reset the iPad (hold the power and home keys down until the Apple logo appears).
There are other troubleshooting steps that might be taken that would be found elsewhere in these forums.

When I did my last import I discovered that some of my photos came in black. I checked under reveal in Finder and the original file is the actual picture. The modified file is all black. I have tried rebuilding the library and deleting and re-impo
