TS3195 since installing ios7 on my ipad I can no longer import photos to my Mac using Image Capture or even Preview. The device appears in the device list, but no photos appear. Anyone have a solution for this? Is it another glitch in ios7?

Hi - I just dowloaded io7 to to my mini ipad and now cannot upload the photos on it to my Mac - which I was able to do with the old system, and still can do with my old first generation Ipad. Very annoying. The device appears in the list in Image Capture and Preview, but no photos appear. Is there a way around this? It is the quickest and best way of transferring photos from a mobile device to the computer - but has iOS 7 messed this up???

Hi I have figured it out on my own just today coz what apple suggested didn't help much so I just have to do it by myself.
This is what you need to do:
open your computer and search for autoplay, it will open rightaway and then scroll down look for your device then change "ask everything" to "import photos and videos in windows" connect your ipad again then tthe import box will open.. and your good!

Yes, that's exactly where I was looking, and that option to turn iTunes Match on/off was non-existent, however, I don't know what happened, it just appeared and is working fine.

I've tried my best to troubleshoot. . . opening in safe mode nothing seems to work.

Try running Safari in 32 bit mode. In get info box for Safari,
check open in 32 bit mode. There have been some oddities
on some systems that can cause some issues.

I'm not sure I understand the connection between iCloud and this problem. Is it simply a problem of coincidental timing (ie, the problem happened after you set up iCloud)? If so, there's almost certainly no connection between these two events.

One other note I do have parallels installed but not running on both machines.
Make sure on both machines that even if Parallels is not running that the two VPNs it creates in System Preferences > Network are set to Off.
Also make sure that in System Preferences > Sharing that Internet Sharing is nnot ON.
Later you will have to adjust the Parallels setting to NOT Share the Mac IP.

You can do both, whatever is more convenient to you. As long as VZW gets its hands on the old device you will be good to go. Replacements under the warranrty require the user to turn in the old device to VZW. If your old device is not returned then you will be charged a fee for an entirely new device. Purchasing a tracking number for a shipment of this kind would be a good idea if you choose to send it in. Otherwise dropping it off at a store is the safest route you can take.
I would suggest contacting VZW phone support on this one and running through your options. The VZW phone rep can coordinate a delivery to your local VZW store if they do not already have one in stock. You can also turn in the old device in person to rule out any non-returned device fees.

Hi.
Do you mean that App Store has disappeared from the Dock? If so it'll still be in Applications. Select it in Applications, when it opens in the Dock move it one or more places, it will then stay there to access next time you want it.
If you don't mean the above, see if you have accidentally moved the application to the Trash.

Mail 8.2 is not enabling me to choose a signature from "All Signatures", even though the signature is listed. Anyone have a solution for this?

This is just one of many problems I've encountered since "upgrading" to Yosemite... including the unexpected necessity to purchase a whole new MS Office for Mac Suite! Now, in Mail, my previously automatic signature has disappeared, and despite following all on-screen instructions (Mail > Preferences > Signatures), "Choose Signature" reads only "none" and will not let me select any of the signatures that are contained in the signature windows above. It is extremely frustrating to have to type signatures into every outgoing email.

ok, i've just run a specific test.
1 - Online, ensure that mail is sync'd
2 - Disable network connection, confirm that mail has moved to offline mode
3 - Delete 20 messages in a folder
4 - Conifm they have been deleted (whilst still offline)
5 - Re-enable network connection, leave machine alone for 5 minutes
6 - Confirm that messages haven't been deleted and are still in the folder untouched
7 - Whilst still online, try to delete one or more of the messages, they vanish for a moment, then re-appear
8 - ***
Can replicate this at will......surely this isn't just me?

This seems to be an annoying part of the newer OS. When I first got my Pearl in 2008, I didn't have that occur. However once the OS got upgraded, and now with the Tour, it seems like that is the way it works. Not clear to me why they would have thought this is preferable.

I would say that you would want to look into the "Exchange Mode" for GMail. That would allow your iPhone to sync calendars, contacts and email with GMail just fine. Doing the same with your outlook should also then sync those same with your PC using Outlook. I've done teh iPhone side of this, but I since I don't run Lookout for my email client, I'm not sure how that will work on the PC side.
