TS3212 I have tried to download Itues 10 7 - 8 times and every time I do it go well until thefiles are installing and it stops the install and says it is ROLLING BACK the files and says it is FINISHED. HELP!

I can not get itunes to download to my Windows 7 Pro system on an HP Touchsmart desktop computer. I have attempted to install the itunes 10 no less that 8 times and it never completes the install portion. I had had itunes on this computer for 2 years and it worked well. My ipod is a nono 4th generation. I hd to uninstall the iutnes because we received a nano ipod 6th generation and it would NOT register on this same computer.
I finally installed itunes 10 on my laptop and it worked just fine with Windows 7 Pro and the ipod nano 6th generation worked well on the laptop.
I would like to continue to use my 4th generation device and have the itunes on the desktop but it will not load and install for some reason. Please send any suggestions or solutions.

I have had this problem with Windows 7 and iTunes updates for some time. Each time it takes hours to solve but with the over the air upgrade to IOS6 on my iPhone and iPad, I was determined to solve and remember what I did, So here it is:

Please let me know what OS are you using and if any error comes up during the download.
Also let me know if you have tried downloading from a different browser.

Repair youe Apple Software Update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install.
If you don't find ASU in All Programs, go to Control Panel, Add & Remove Programs.

Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

HT6001 I have windows 8 and have tried to download iTunes in my computer. It popped up with this was 32bit you need 64 so I redid it. After words all I get is the error bell because it can not find the path it tries to install it in?

the path it keeps trying is c/user/(my name)/iTunes64.msi with some other crap. I have tried to migrate between 2 iMacs but every time it stops at the 1 minute mark and freezes, any thoughts on how I can fix this?

Open Automator
Choose Folder Action for type of document
At the top, for Folder action receives files and folders added to, select Other...
in the window that opens, select your Downloads folder, and then Choose
from the Actions on the left, drag Filter Finder Items over to the column on the right
Where it says Any Content, select Kind
Where it says Any, select music
Drag Move Finder Items over to the rightfor To: select other, and navigate to your user folder > Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Automatically Add to iTunes
it should look like this:
close the window and give the folder action a name.
