Choose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu and provide ~/Pictures/ as the path. If that doesn't work, control-click a photo in iPhoto, show it in the Finder, and Command-click the folder's name in the window's title bar to find the path.

  • You badgered me into installing the latest Itunes and now I cannot find my music nor my podcasts. Where the **** are they?

I was badgered into installing the latest Itunes and now I cannot find my music nor my podcasts. Where the **** did they go and how can I get them back? You folks at Apple sure make it hard to like you or want to use your products.

    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't normally lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping.  Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to a recent state.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
Would you mind telling me which anti-virus package you use? It may be that it is disturbing iTunes when it tries to write out the fresh database, as it does after almost any activity with your library. I'm noticing more of this type of problem than usual and trying to see if there is any pattern. It may help to prevent a repeat of the problem if you look at the advanced options for your AV package and see if you can find a way to exclude the main iTunes library folder (and subfolders if possible) from any real-time scanning process.

  • I cannot find a document I prepared yesterday. How do I locate it in the external backup disc

I cannot find a document I prepared yesterday. How do I locate it in the external backup disc

    (1) Look in the System's Recent items, maybe it's available in this list)  [ it's in the  menu ]
    (2) Use the Finder's Search tool (cmd + F) asking it to retrieve files whose name ends with ".numbers"
And next time, take care of what you do.

    Hi!
Just for future reference, I've moved my site to http://pondini.org, since Apple is dropping web hosting in June.
Both sites are active now;  after a few days, I'll put redirect notices on the old one, then leave it there until it goes "poof."

  • IMac cannot find system folder.

I purchased my iMac in March. By June I had it back at the Apple Store for repair.
They replaced the mother board. Now it is doing the same thing again. At start-up it cannot find the system folder most times. If it does start up and I let it go to sleep, when I wake up the iMac, it locks up and upon restart it cannot find the system folder.
I have tried reformating the hard drive and reinstalling the software. It only helps for a while.

I don't know if there's a question in there or not but if it's 'doing the same thing' then take it back. It's still under warranty. We can't fix hardware.

  • Cannot find javax.ejb.CreateException fix classpath

    Hi Guys,

Cannot find class file for javax.ejb.CreateException. Fix the classpath then try rebuilding this project.

    Hi,
Guys I was able to solve this problem, by adding
    C:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\IDE70\eclipse\plugins\com.tssap.ext.libs.j2ee_1.3.0\lib\ejb20.jar
into the project properties>> in the Java Buildpath adding external jars.

  • Cannot find Safari folder in Library in Time Machine backups

Hi, In preparing an older MacBook Pro for kid use I deleted all of the Safari bookmarks, not realizing they were synched in iCloud. Therefore, it deleted all Safari bookmarks across all of my computers! Ugh! I'm trying to go back into the Library/Safari folder in Time Machine and restore the bookmarks file (Bookmarks.plist) from a TM backup this morning. But in Time Machine I cannot access the Safari folder in the Library folder in any Time Machine backup except for the more current one.
If I enter Time Machine via the Library/Safari folder I cannot go back in time at all (and that's exactly what I need to do). If I enter Time Machine via the Library folder the Safari folder disappears from all but the most recent backup.
Why is the Safari folder not showing up in previous TM backups? Does this have anything to do with iCloud synch? If so, can I go back in iCloud similar to Time Machine and "resynch" the Safari bookmarks file from this morning?
This is in Yosemite 10.10.1 on a newish 15" MBP.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thanks Sparkleberry, but it's more complicated than that. I quit Safari, unsynched Safari from iCloud, but nothing changed. Then after about 15 minutes I could access ~/Library/Safari in TM, but only for some of the backups. I Restored from a bookmarks.plist file from December 22, 2014, but it was the wrong bookmarks (completely different from the bookmarks I had on my MBP). I Restored the empty bookmarks file again.
The trouble is, ~/Library/Safari is not available for most of my previous backups, and there were many between December 22 and this evening.
The net problem is that ~/Library/Safari/bookmarks.plist simply don't seem to be available beyond the most recent backup (and the random December 22 file).
I read somewhere that you can backup from iCloud backups, but I try as I might I cannot find how to do that, if it can be done.
    Thanks!

  • My computer cannot find iTunes folder !!

I have an older laptop with 40G memory, so I store my iTunes on an external hard drive (H Drive).
I went to open my iTunes this morning and it says: "The folder iTunes cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location of this folder is inside the 'My Music' folder".
I can find the My Music folder in the H Drive. When I opened it, all the individual (3,000 +) song title icons appear; but when i click on one, I get the same error message.
One of the suggestions on the Support site is to re-install the iTunes software. I'm afraid that if I do, I will erase all my library for good. I want to make sure they won't disappear forever before re-installing.
    PLEASE help !!!

  • Cannot find mobilesync folder on my mac os

I've backed up my iphone several times and followed instructions on finding the sms backup files but cannot find the mobilesync folder for the life of me...  It is simply not there it appears, not under the only user on the mac (both user name and the "shared") or in general Library folder...
Attached is a screenshot of the folders.  Any ideas..?
Thanks for any help you can offer, I'm fairly novice Mac user having used PC's most of my life

    Yo 'nycetouch'
In my perspective, I beleieve you are opening the Finder App from your Dock and seraching for /Users/<your user name>/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup
Its imperative that you should be seraching in the GO option on the top.
If you are not able to find GO on the top. Quit all the opened applications to find the GO
    or
Doulbe tap or double left click into the Desktop screen to find GO
Under GO click on Go to Folder, in that paste
    /Users/<your user name>/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup
    In my case,
    /Users/Boo/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup.
It took me a while to find the GO option. I must work. Im eager to know how you are going.
    JimHDK,
You are a life saver. Your instructions were really helpful.
    Thanks again mate!!

  • Cannot find FlexNet folder in /Library with Photoshop CS5.1

    Hi,
I'm running the trial version of Photoshop CS5.1 on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2, however, I cannot find any FlexNet related folder in /Library/Preferences or /Library/Application Supports. Do latest Adobe products such as Photoshop or Acrobat remove FlexNet licensing?

  • ITunes cannot find the folder containing the installation package itunes64.msi.

When I try and update iTunes to the newest version it says that it cannot find the itunes64.msi.  How to i fix this? I have a Dell Inspiron if that makes a difference.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

  • ITunes cannot find 'iTunes' folder

PLEASE HELP. I have all my songs on an external hard drive and recently upgraded to v7 of iTunes. Everytime I open the program or try and open a specific song i get the following error window:
"The folder 'iTunes' cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the 'My Music' folder."
I have an iTunes folder in my 'My Music' folder.
    thanks

"The folder 'iTunes' cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the 'My Music' folder."
a good place to start with that one is with this document:
iTunes for Windows: "Disk is locked" or "iTunes folder cannot be found" when installing or opening iTunes
... but if you run into the complication where My Music doesn't appear as an option in TweakUI, perhaps try the alternate technique from this Nigel Carpenter post:
