EASY SIMPLE FIX....
The problem is Google.
I had the same problem, couldn't install Gmail on my ipad or iphone and kept saying wrong / incorrect password, error messages. Worked for hours and hours on this.
It is Google's (optional) 2-step verification system that is to blame.
Google won't tell you this, and instead, they have come up with work arounds, and even telling people to install the Gmail iPhone/ipad app, which then limites the iphone/pad functionality when not using iphone's native mail.
FIX:
Logon to Google...
Go into your Google account preferenes
DELETE your cell number used for 2-step verification...... leave it blank
(it is optional, Google does not require you use 2-step verification)
Thats it. Your'e done.
Now set up your Gmail (now called Google) as usual on your Apple device.
You don't need 2-step (optional) verification.
There are other secure ways to do this. It is an option, but Google goes out of it's way not to tell you this.
(and a great way for Google to gleen your personal information, in the name of security)

I am not sure what you mean by "Flash Player for steam"; the only Flash Player installers I know is the ActiveX (for Internet Explorer) and the plugin (for other browsers); you can find both at http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player- windows.html#main-pars_header

My wife has gave me her old ipad what would be the best way to set up her new ipad and to have my own ID?
Backup the old iPad first, either to itunes or iCloud.
Once that is done, setup the new iPad from the backup. Choose the Restore from Backup option when setting up the new iPad.

When that is done, wipe the old iPad clean and set up as new.
Settings->General->Reset->Erase all Content and Settings
You can create a new Apple Id when you set up the iPad again. -
I am planning a long vacation and taking my laptop but it is my home computer that my new ipad and ipod touch are synced too. I know i can backup to the cloud over wifi but how can i do things like delete photo albums instead of having to manually delete pictures one by one on the Ipad. Is there any way also to add my pictures to the ipad other than through email. i am assuming that i can't just install itunes on the laptop and sync to that. I have been told that i always have to sync to my original synced home computer for that.

If you are using Windows, make sure you got iTune version 10.6.3

I am setting up my new iPad mini from my iMac. I have backed up my old ipad so all info has been saved and sinced. I did not get my contacts and apps when the download, or sinc was complete. How do I add them? BTW, the instructions given while installing during the get started portion instructed me to use the start as new option. Thanks
You can search within your music folder on your pc, or within documents folder for a music folder.
In any case, you would need to sync with itunes

If the music was purchased from the itunes store, you can also download it directly from there to the ipad. -

Just purchased a 3rd generation iPad and tried to go thru the startup and connect to the house wi-fi. Found the house wi-fi among the listings and was prompted to enter the WEP security code. Gear wheel just keeps on turning and a connection is never established. I have tried this 4 times with the same results. A desktop computer is connected and I easily connected a Macbook without any issues. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Try Settings, select the network name, click on the blue arrow to Forget This Network and try signing in again.

In the settings you can choose to not automatically update content so you can manually manage the books on the mini.

Just got my son an Ipad mini for Christmas and I am setting it up. I wanted him to have his own apple account so I tried to set it up that way. When it asked for the Birthday I used my year as he would not be old enough. It is telling me that I do not meet age requirements. Trust me I am over 13 for a long time!!! Can someone please help!!!!

I also have full bars, the carriers name and the 3g icon on my screen. The serial code begins with DLXH. I have the latest version 5.1.1 Please help....
Did you setup the account from your iPad? Do you have a SIM installed from a carrier that supports the iPad?
If so, try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
