TS3274 My Ipad display screen is coming up with blue background and pink/purple lines all across the screen. It's also blurry and difficult to see icons on home screen and when apps are opened up. Has anyone had a similar problem?
The display screen on my Ipad is coming up all blurred with blue background mixed with pink and purple lines. It's difficult to see icons but apps are still accessible. Colors are off and images are very unclear on apps and home screen.
Has anyone had this problem or any advice on troubleshooting?

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
But it could also be a hardware failure. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

If you are having the same problem, i.e. a disk permission problem, open your favorite search engine and search on, "change disk permissions", and I think you'll find plenty of information on how to fix the problem. This is a Lightroom forum. Your problem is with your operating system. There is no sense in rewriting instructions that are already available if you do a simple search.

I am unable to enter a £ symbol to a wifi password has anyone had similar problem and found a solution?
On the US keyboard, it's option + 3.
However, when I try to enter that combination in Mail 4.4 or the Safari 5.0.5 browser, it is apparently has some reserved function and opens another window. It does seem to produce the correct character in Firefox 4.01
If possible, I'd suggest changing the WiFi password so that it does not included any 'reserved' keystrokes. -
I am trying to restore my Ipad 2 from iCloud but at a certain point I am asked for the password for ******** even though the account I am trying to restore is ********. I have checked all my account setting and cant see where that email address comes from. Has anyone else had this problem? Has my account been hacked?

Could the purchase have been made using a different Apple account? If so, you may need to contact Apple to find out how to transfer it to the iPad's account.

I have just updated to ISO 8 and my app icons are not displaying the correct icon but just a generic icon. Anyone had a similar problem?
That happened to me for a short period of time after I updated. It didn't do it with all apps, but it did it with a few here and there. Try a few basic standard troubleshooting steps. Close all apps and reset the iPad.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
You can also try resetting all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.
Hopefully it will be something simple, but don't rule out restoring the iOS software, if nothing else works, but start with this easy stuff first. -

I had a similar experience with mac e-mail where apparently someones ICLOUD id for their Iphone was created with an Alias I had @mac.com for years. Originally thought the mail was phishing and deleted without opening - then received forwarded mail from the other persons non-apple account - so gave feedback through mail to apple and also sent an email to the other persons non-apple account from a non-apple account telling them I was getting their mail because it was my alias.
That person did get apple to untangle the accounts so I did have to reset my password once it was done.
So one option would be to contact apple support to get them to find out what is going on with your account.
E-mail contact of the other person was easy once I had a legit account to send to -- don't know how you would contact the other person in notes. -

When I got a new iPhone5, I experienced short battery life, and system sofware issues were not the cause. The camera also takes a blury picture regardless of lighting and I have the black one. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
What makes you so sure it isn't software?
The camera can be focused by take the point of focus on the touch screen.
If it is new as you said, it should be under warranty. Make a Genius Bar appointment or contact Apple with a repair request. -

What version of iPhoto? How are you trying?

Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there? -

My iphone 4s recently stopped turning on. I left it alone on the charger for a few days and now will power on just fine. However I have vertical lines going across the entire screen. I also noticed that it will not power down and stay off unless it is connected to the charger. Is this a hardware problem?
Try to Reset your device.

Randomly a blue bar scans across the screen when apps are open, how can I stop that?
After updating a blue bar scans across the screen. It does it in most of my apps and even when viewing my pix. This never happened before the latest update I installed. It's very annoying. Does anyone have an idea to stop this blue bar?
I have a very strong feeling that this has something to do with the government requesting the data of 5,000 apple customers. This blue bar scans my screen too coincidentally. While Im on my facebook messages, text messages, recent calls, even on snapchat. On the other discussion, people have cleared their whole phone and it still happens. IPhone has stopped playing certain songs, crashes when apps are opened
Over the past few days, I've started experiencing some odd problems with my first-gen iPhone. The first problem I experienced was that third party apps purchased from the iTunes store wouldn't open. When I selected them, they would launch and then close right away. This happened with most - but not all 3rd party apps. All of the basic iPhone processes, like YouTube, stocks, email, etc. all worked fine. I've tried resetting or recharging the phone - sometimes it works and I can then open the apps and other times, it doesn't and the problem continues.
The other issue is that some songs won't play on my iPhone. The song comes up in the player but there's no sound. I did a little bit of investigating and it appears that the songs that won't play were purchased through iTunes and not loaded from a CD. I'm not experiencing this issue with every purchased song, though. Some of them play, others will not. From what I can tell, there's no discernible pattern for which songs play and which don't. I thought perhaps it was an issue with the amount of time since I had purchased the song but that doesn't appear to be the cause. I have some songs I downloaded a year ago that will play, where other year-old songs will not. Similarly, a few songs I purchased just last week won't play, where others purchased last week will. I can play these songs on other hardware - my iMac, streaming through AppleTV.
I've tried everything - resetting the phone, removing the content and reloading it, and finally doing a factory reset on the phone but nothing has worked. This phone is close to 2 years old. Is it on its last legs? I'm waiting on the iPhone 3.0 and will most certainly upgrade so I'm not overly concerned about the long term effects of these issues. However, since I'm anticipating that the new iPhone won't be released immediately, I'd like to have a working iPhone for at least a few more weeks. Any ideas what might be happening?Try restoring your phone as new, not from a backup. This is different from a rest.
