Why can't I down load a free app I get a message that there is a problem with my payment method but I gave all information correctly , I did recently change my card no because I lost my old one .i did change the no. On my account HOPE YOU HAVE SOME SUGGESTIONS I DON'T SEE WHY THEY HAVE TO CHECKMY PAYMENT METHOD FOR A FREE GAME

When I try to download iTunes 10.5, I keep getting the message "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected." Therefore I can't update my iTunes to the new version. How can I solve this? I don't want to pay for technical support as this seems to be a problem with the iTunes package Apple is providing itself by that message.

I would recommend attempting to repair the Apple Software Update via the steps below. Once processed attempt to download, update or install iTunes 11.

I've got a similar problem. iTunes v10.2 worked fine, but when I tried to update it to 10.5 I got a 'Bonjour' error. I eventually solved that but I still couldn't upgrade to 10.5, so I deleted every single Apple, Quicktime, iTunes, etc file on my PC using Revo Unistaller (because the normal Windows Add/Delete programs wouldn't work) but now, when I install the latest iTunes version from scratch (on XP SP3), it says: "the installer encountered errors before it could be configured.... your system has not been modified"
Any ideas?

Looping On should appear in the right window. Then click the Extended Test button.The test will run continuously until a problem is found. If the test fails, be sure to write down the exact message associated with the failure.In some cases, RAM problems did not show up until nearly 40 loops, so give it a good run.

I have have an early 2008 imac 8,1 It has been a good machine no problems. UNTIL we downloaded Mt Lion. We can no longer use facetime. We click on the icon it comes up, tries to connect then it disappears with the message that there was a problem with the C_L Kernel Plugin. We can go on line without difficulty, everything else seems to be working. Searching the internet shows that others have had the same problem with Mt Lion. But so far I haven't found a solution. We have wiped the drive reloaded snow leopard then downloaded Mt Lion again. We put in a NEW hard drive and reloaded snow leopard then Mt Lion. We have changed out ram using apple ram. But we still get the same result. Everything works except for Facetime. Is there some patch we have missed? Facetime DOES work on our ipads without a hitch so I doubt it's the internet connection. We've tried the imac both wirelessly as the ipads run and hardwired and get no where fast. So any help at all would be appreciated. We live in the boonies, the nearest mac repair is over 150 miles away so this is pretty nuch a do it myself affair. We know the machine is old by most standards today. But we pretty much run our machines until they can't power up. So we'd like to get this one back on its perch so to speak with its face time working.

The details are listed in the question. However when I try to send an email message I get a message that says mail can't be sent but when I look in my sent file it shows the message sent.
yes it should be covered using 1 year warranty. You cant get refund unless you have some customer protection program. So call applecare, I dont know the number in the UK.

i think i may have caused this wheni inadvertently pressed upgrade when i had an internet explorer message appear.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

BT admit that there IS a problem with downloading ...
Unbelievable. After submitting a formal complaint, I have just had a call from someone at BT admitting that there IS a problem with BT Net Protect Plus not downloading properly. They are apparently "working on it" and I should get a call shortly when the issue is resolved, after which time it should download ok. This is after spending the best part of 2 days trying unsuccessfully endless times to download it, after the goons in the BT callcentre helpline blamed ME for causing my OWN problem. However, I will believe it when I see it.
Well wonders never cease. Had a call from India to say problem with Net Protect Plus had been identified and resolved. Tried again, and this time it downloaded in a few minutes and installed immediately, no problem whatsoever. This is after 2 days of me trying unsuccessfully to download it and tearing my hair out because it failed every time. They had blamed me for the problem! Would be a help if in future the helpline in India do not assume users are causing their own problems, and take on board the fact that there may actually be a problem at the BT end of things.

It mostly depends on the camera. Some cameras have a Transfer Mode, which does not attempt to charge while transferring pictures. does yours have such a setting?
Alternatively you can try to plug a powered USB hub between the camera and the USB connector so the power is provided by the HUB rather than the iPad.
Other than that, yes the Memory card reader may be a better option assuming your Camera uses Secure Digital (SD) type memory cards. -
