TS3989 Apple TV photo stream login issues

Can anyone tell me how to access photo stream on my Apple TV I am using the correct username and password details but it still replies with a message that my details are incorrect

The subject refers to photo stream, but your post is dealing with home sharing.
If it is home sharing, as your post indicates, then both need to be on the same network (same location) as well as have the same ID

I try to log in to Apple TV with my account, and it tells me it is unable to sign in and to go to support/icloud. I find nothing at that location about the issue. Why can't I log in? My password and username are correct. I want to see my photo stream via apple tv, which was never an issue before. Apple TV wanted me to update and I did. SInce then, I can't gain access. Help!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.

  • HT204053 apple tv photo stream no longer works

After updating the apple tv software I can no longer access my photo stream.  No matter how many times I log in I am directed to www.apple.com/support/icloud.  Can any one tell me what I did wrong?

You're not alone coabra. There seems to be some problem regarding this in the latest software version of the Apple TV. Read more about it here.

  • TS3989 Photo stream upload issues

I have had battery issues with my iphone 4s and as a result took it to genious bar. My iphone was wiped and resotred as a new device.
my phone was restored from icloud where i had approx 200 photos in photo stream. however only 9 photos from my photo stream uploaded back onto my iphone.
can anyone assist on how to retrieve these photograph.
    thanks

You will have to Pardon my ignorance. I am a relative beginner to this.
The staff member at the genius bar checked my phone and he said the photograph that where on my photo stream prior to doing the restore would automatically upload on to my iPhone when I restore my settings from iCloud. However only 9 photos done this and there other 100 odd photos didn't.
    I am confused!

  • TS3989 I have photo stream setup on iPhoto on my macbook pro and I just got 2 iPhones for my family and only one streams photos to iCloud photo stream.  Both iPhones have the same Apple ID and have Photo Stream turned on.  Shouldn't both iPhones stream ph

I have photo stream setup on iPhoto on my MacBook Pro and on 2 new iPhones that have the same AppleID as the MacBook Pro.  However only one iPhone will stream photos to iPhoto on the MacBook Pro.  All these devices were purchased in the last 2 weeks.  What setting is wrong?

Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

  • Shared photo stream quality issue

Shared photo stream FAQ states that:
"Shared Photo Streams supports JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and most RAW photo formats. On your Mac or PC, your photos are downloaded and stored in full resolution. On your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV, your Photo Stream photos are delivered in a device-optimized resolution that speeds downloads and saves storage space. While actual dimensions will vary, an optimized version of a photo taken by a standard point-and-shoot camera will have a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution when pushed to your devices. Panoramic photos can be up to 5400 pixels wide."
Since I'm a little OCD about photo organization, I collect and organize all the photos my girlfriend and I take. She shares all of her picture from her iPhone 5s on a shared photo stream and I import them to iPhoto on my MBP. However, I have just realized to my great surprise that all her picture were downgraded in 2048 x 1536, even though I have downloaded them to my Mac. Anyone has the same issue or has any idea what is going on? The FAQ clearly said that they would be downloaded in full definition, but they aren't, which is really annoying as we often do large books for which the higher resolution is necessary, not to mention my retina display screen and 4K monitor.
    the FAQ

You should double check your and your daughter's icloud ID as currently set, because what you describe happens when two people share the same icloud account  (and I assume you are talking about a "photo stream" and not a "shared photo stream").
Settings>icloud, be sure the accounts are different.

  • How can I fix Apple TV photo stream from limiting the number of photos available?

"My photo stream " on Apple TV only shows a small portion of the photos available in the same photo stream on my other devices. Since these photos are the center piece of our home through Apple TV's screen saver this is the one place I want them ALL to show up. Please help!

I got the ATV hooked up to the WiFi after manually inputting the DHCP settings.
The ATV will not see iTunes from a PC on the same iTune network.  I guess you need an Apple computer for iTunes to connect to the ATV.
The biggest problem is that the iTunes store on the ATV is nonexistent I imagine because of competition/ monopolies in the UAE.  If I was in Lao, Burma, Thailand, Mozambique no problem.  40 Countries are listed and non of them are from the Middle East.  When I logon to the iTunes store on my PC it too does not allow for me to buy any movies or TV shows.  I am not sure why.
As for the iPad OS6, iTunes has an icon and when you click it you get iTune U or Podcast, no video content.  The App store works fine and they are always happy to take your money but no video content.
To top it all off YouTube is no longer licensed under OS6.0 and although I can get it on Google Chrome it is by no means as quick (for reasons unknown).
As I said before if I choose United States as my country the ATV hooks up and lets me browse TV and movies and watch trailers but not able to purchase (obviously).
So my conclusion is that ATV will not hook up to the iTune store in the UAE?  If this is incorrect please clue me in.

  • TS3989 only one photo stream I have shared is showing up on my macbook

I have an imac and a macbook pro. I'm logged into the same icloud account on each, and shared photo streams is on. On my macbook only one of the photo streams that I have shared with others shows up under the "My Photos" section. All of the streams I am subscribed to from others are there. All streams are vsiible on my ios devices (if that is even relevant.)
I only have shared photo streams enabled, (I don't use the My Photo Stream, as I don't want all of my pictures from my iphone on my computers).
Not sure if this is relavant, but just in case:
I have two user accounts set up on both macs. One for me, one for my wife. Our iPhoto drive is stored on an external hard drive so that we can both access it and when we are logged in have our own photo streams. (we have different icloud accounts). It  does show under "Web" in the left column two photo streams, but only the top one is actually clickable.

After I posted this request for help I found the discussion "Photostream is not syncing on my Windows 7 PC" which gave me some ideas.  The Photo Stream download to my 32-bit Windows 7 PC now seems to be working.
Yesterday I changed "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Internet Services\ApplePhotoStreamsDownloader.exe" to XP SP3 compatibility mode then killed this process, which was running at 100% of one of my CPU cores. I also configured iCloud to download to a new "download" sub-folder of the default Photo Stream folder.
It isn't clear to me whether all of these actions were necessary to solve the problem but when I took a new photo this morning and checked the download folder a few hours later, there it was! Also, Downloader.exe is not running continuously as before - it seems to be a client application called by ApplePhotoStreams.exe only when there is something new to download.

  • Apple TV3 photo stream not displaying newest to oldest

This has been really frustrating me.  My Apple TV 3 photo stream is configured correctly.  I can see my photos.  There are 628 photos in the stream.  The first four photos have a title at the bottom that says "Photos From Last Week."  Then when I scroll right, the text says "Photos Older than Two Weeks."  However, instead of letting me scroll through them newest to oldest, the first photos are the OLDEST photos, so if I want to see photos from the last month, I have to scroll all the way through hundreds of photo stream photos to get to the newest photos.  Why is this happening and how can I fix it?
    Thank you,
    Frustrated

First make sure iCloud and Photo Stream are installed on your PC. Connect the iPad (or iPhone) to your PC with the USB cable and start iTunes on your PC. Once your iPad/iPhone shows up under "Devices" in the sidebar (which you may have to enable), click it. Then click "Photos" at the top of the iTunes screen on your PC. Check the "Sync Photos from" box, and then under that, click "Selected folders." (Ignore the pulldown menu to the right of "Sync Photos from" -- the important thing is to tick "Selected folders.")  A pane should open up below that with a list of folders including "Photo Stream." Choose that and then at the bottom of the screen click Sync. This worked for my Windows 7 box.

  • TS3989 iPhone 4 Photo Stream All Photos not Showing Up In My Photo Steam Folder

I am trying to figure out why there are only about 20 photos from my iPhone photo stream in my photo stream on my laptop? they are the most recent photos that I took with my phone camera, but there are a lot of other photos I would like to send to my laptop folder. I have Windows7. Does anyone know how to move ALL the photos that are currently in my Photo Stream on my iPhone 4?

I tired signed out of the control panel and back in and that solved half of the issue. Now only photos taken SINCE October 11 are showing up. All previous photos are not in my iCloud photos. Now what?

  • TS3989 help with photo stream not making it to pc folder.. uploads a no no also..???

the photos from My I phone photo stream,do not appear in the folder i assigned it to be in. Also when i put photos in my upload folder, they do not make it to my photo stream on m y iphone ??? ive tried everything with the help ??

No, I certainly am not saying it's a feature; just a widely discussed issue that as far as I know has no current solution.  I was only sharing this so you were aware that you weren't alone in having this problem, and that it may not be solvable at the current time.  If you search the forums perhaps you'll find a solution I'm not aware of.

  • Photo Stream Delay Issues

Photo Stream Delay. When I take pictures on my iPhone 4s or ipad3 it take 8 hours   or even days to reach my other devices. How do you fix this delay is awful. I have the same isse even when on WIFI?

    You must be on WiFi for Photostream to work. When devices are all on the same wifi network is when the photos will be "pushed" to the other devices;
See following link to article about how Photostream works; It really helps.

  • Apple TV, Photo Streaming and iCloud

I just got an Apple TV and am trying to set up Photo Streaming but whenever I try to open it it tells me that the Terms and Conditions of iCloud have changed. System Preferences>iCloud do not show updated Terms. Help?

Welcome to the  Discussion Forums.
Unfortunately no-one here knows why  do the things they do and one can only give one's opinion.
Yes you used to be able to stream photos from the primary library but it was rather inconvenient and I suspect the change was made as a result of customer feedback. Also don't forget that photos aren't handled by itunes (unlike everything else), so there will be inherent difficulties in trying the handle the photo content in exactly the same way as all the other content.
I forget how many photos I have on mine but it runs into 000's and only takes up 5GB, which isn't an abhorrent amount of space especially considering audio content id likely the easiest of all content to stream if it becomes necessary.
    (Please excuse my unsupported nomenclature)
