TS3989 Photostream.exe has stopped working.  What causes this?

I keep getting the message that "Photostream.exe has stopped working" on my Windows PC.  What is causing this and how do I fix it?

What seems to have worked for others (so far) is to uninstall iCloud, and then reinstall it from http://www.apple.com/ca/icloud/setup/pc.html

I received an error message each time I startup iTunes stating that photostream.exe has stopped working.  Photos are no longer transfered to the cloud.  Has anyone experienced this problem and if so, is there a fix for this problem?

I have this problem but seems to be only with photostream because my calendar still is working. I have tried all but it still isn't working

  • My Vista operating system on my HP computer tells me that PhotoStream.exe has stopped working. Where do I get this software?

All I can find on the Apple site is how to set up Photo Stream, but I need the file. Thanks.

You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

  • TS3992 photostreams.exe has stopped working appears on PC; no upload to PC for weeks

Windows says it is looking for a solution, but never seems to find one.  I went to uninstall iCloud, but it only let me "change" it, which was ineffective.  TIA

After you click "Change" there should be an option to uninstall iCloud.

  • TS2551 My computer keeps telling me that "ApplePhotoSream.exe has stopped working".... Does anyone know what may be causing this, or how to fix it????

When I click on the iCloud icon on my computer systems tray, it brings up my active selections, but then shows the following message: "ApplePhotoStream.exe has stopped working"..... Then, it shuts down the program and says I will be notified of possible solutions to the problem. It has done this for several weeks, and I have not received notification as to what's going on.
Is anyone else having/had this problem, and what is the solution to fix it????
This is keeping my photos from being streamed to my other iOS devices, that I have synced.

    What OS are you using?

If I don't close the warning box my computer stay s in limbo. What is is? It is not in my control panel and does not come up as a program in my computer.
    Help?

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".

  • HPSF.exe has stopped working. Uninstalling and reinstalling has not worked. What else to try

HPSF.exe has stopped working.  Have uninstalled and uninstalled numerous times  and has not worked.  Desktop is not month old yet.  When I first got it sleep mode would not work.  Every time it would go to sleep it would crash.  I finally did a refresh and that problem went away.  I do not want to do another refresh as a number of the windows updates did not want to install and I had to troubleshoot them.  Is there another fix to the support assistant or do I just manually check monthly for updates.  Also is there a place I can get online chat cupport for my new computer while it is under warranty?

HP Support Assistant is very problematic especially in Windows 8.  It works on some and not others, nobody knows why yet.  It is a useless piece of software anyway IMHO and I would uninstall it.  If you concern is updates, suggest doing it manually as you wish.

  • TS3989 I get a message on my computer saying "applephotostream.exe has stopped working."  I don't know how to fix it. Help!

Everytime I get on my computer I get an error message stating " applephotostream.exe has stopped working."  I have tried to repair icloud and have clicked on the check online for a solution and cannot find how to fix this issue.

This may occur if you are connected to the Internet and iTunes is trying to connect to the iTunes Store and fails for some unknown reason.
    Try this:
Quit iTunes and disconnect completely from the Internet.
IF you have an iPhone (iPod etc), open iTunes. Sync the device.
    Re-enable your Internet connection.
    Quit iTunes.
    Open iTunes again.
If this does not work, try completely uninstalling iTunes, then reinstall it according to these instructions:
