TS3992 photostreams.exe has stopped working appears on PC; no upload to PC for weeks

Windows says it is looking for a solution, but never seems to find one.  I went to uninstall iCloud, but it only let me "change" it, which was ineffective.  TIA

After you click "Change" there should be an option to uninstall iCloud.

I keep getting the message that "Photostream.exe has stopped working" on my Windows PC.  What is causing this and how do I fix it?

What seems to have worked for others (so far) is to uninstall iCloud, and then reinstall it from http://www.apple.com/ca/icloud/setup/pc.html

  • My Vista operating system on my HP computer tells me that PhotoStream.exe has stopped working. Where do I get this software?

All I can find on the Apple site is how to set up Photo Stream, but I need the file. Thanks.

You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

  • Igfxtray.exe has stopped working

    Hi,
The error message "igfxtray.exe has stopped working" appears every time I start my computer (a newly bought asus G551jm running Windows 8.1).
I already tried to reinstall both the Intel and the Nvidia graphic drivers but the message keeps popping, I can't find igfxtray in the control panel programs list and I can't find it neither on the start-up programs list.
Scanned with a registry cleaner and with an anti-malware: no change.
    Looking forward for a solution.
    Thank you.

Download intel graphic card driver from intel's website. Extract the installer with win zip or,7-zip.locate IGFXtray.exe and extract it.
Rename c:\windows\system32\IGFXtray.exe and copy the newly extracted file to that location.

  • Error message "clc.exe has stopped working".

When I start Photoshop I get an error message "clc.exe has stopped working".  I have the latest version drivers for my Acer X23H and HP 2311 LCD monitors so upgrading them is not possible.  Is there any other fix I can try?

I've just downloaded and installed the very latest drivers from AMD and installed them.  Still, I get the "clc.exe has stopped working" errors when I launch PS.  I do not get this, or any other errors, when opening or running any other programs, and have never once gotten a blue screen or had any failures in this system for the two or three years it's been running.
While it's remotely possible that there is some error in AMD's latest (and previous) drivers for this video card, what seems to fit the symptoms I have, is that there is some problem in Adobe's code.
Previous versions of Photoshop open and run fine on this system.  Other CAD and graphics programs run fine, too, with no crashes, lockups, or failures.
Still, if there's something else that needs to be updated for my video system, to make the Adobe errors go away, I'm open to do whatever updates are necessary.  I'm running an AMD Radeon HD 5700 series display adapter, driver date 11/20/2014, version 14.501.1003.0.  Device manager says the device is working properly (for whatever that's worth).
The computer is running Win 7 64 bit ultimate.  Processor is AMD Phenom II X6 1090T six-core processor.  All has been running flawlessly for several years, and continues to do so with every application except Adobe Photoshop 14.501.1003.0.

    Help?

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".

  • Photo Stream PC-error message "applephotostreams.exe has stopped working" and now additional photos that I want to upload is not uploading.

I sync my devices with a PC running windows.  I have turned on Photo Stream on my PC, iPhone4S & iPad2.
On my PC it creates two default folders in Pictures called "My Photo Stream" and "Upload".
Instructions says that you can add photos to the "Upload" folder and it will automatically upload to your "My Photo Stream" folder and when your devices are connected to wi-fi they will upload to each device and show up in the "Photo Stream" section of Photos.
I was able to upload 50 photos but then I got an error message that applephotostreams.exe has stopped working.
    How do I fix?

I was having the same problem.  Earlier in the week, I was able to drag a few photos to the upload folder and they synced correctly.  Yesteday, I dragged different photos, and I got the "applephotostream.exe has stopped working" error.
The solution - for me, at least! - was to reduce the size of the pictures being uploaded to the photostream.  While all of the pictures were jpegs, the first set were ca. 800K (3800 x 2500), and the second set were ca. 2.5 MB (4000 x 2000).  When I reduced the resolution of the last set by a factor of 4 (ca. 600 K, 2000 x 1500), they uploaded without a hitch.
Based on this admittedly sketchy experiment, it looks like Apple has a max picture size limit, apparently based on file size rather than picture resolution).  Perhaps < 1 MB?  To be rigorous, I should complete the experiment - leave the resolution of the second set of pictures alone and reduce file size by reducing jpeg quality.
Has anyone heard about a picture file size limit?

  • Kdbsync.exe has stopped working - win 7 64 bit

I am running Win 7 64 bit on an HP Pafilion HPE h8-1360t.  After last week's round of updates my computer will no longer play mp4 files,  the Media Center will no longer come up (Message: "Windows Media Player has stopped working"), You Tube files will no longer play, the HP Magic Canvas also won't come up,  and the mysterious message "kdbsync.exe has stopped working" comes up when I reboot.
After hours of reading forums, I have found that it appears to be related to the AMD grapics card update.  My computer has an AMD Radeon HD 7570 card.
On the AMD site this is listed as a legacy card for XP computers.  I am not sure why HP installed it in a computer running Win 7 64 bit with an Intel Core I7 CPU.  This does not give me confidence in HP equipment.
The AMD utility correctly detected my card and told me that I needed a driver called:
     14-4-win7-win8.1-64-dd-ccc-whql.exe
But when I clicked on the Down load button, I got the message, "Could not conntect to server.  Could not parse error."
I did not find any such driver on your website.
How can I get my Media Center working again?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

The idea of turning off all the non-Microsoft services scares me to death as I now have my computer running the way I want it to.
I also posted on the AMD forums as I had determined that their board was the offending piece of hardware:
http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=454&threadid=173935&forumid=11  You might want to read my reply to the agent who helped me.
Basically I had to uninstall all AMD drivers and sotware using Control Panel/Programs & Features and then run the AMD Clean Uninstall Program: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx
    Then install drivers from here:
    http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64#amd-catalyst-packages
I would not recommend that you install this set of drivers unless you are SURE that they are correct for your hardware.  I could not use the Steps 1-5 on the AMD site because the last step required that you pick the operating system that your hardware is running.  The video card that HP installed in my "latest and greatest" computer of a year ago was so old that the only operating systems offered in step 5 were XP and Vista!  Be aware that HP does use legacy hardware in its newest computers.
