I had an icloud account in 2009. We set it up as a family plan because my family had just changed from PC to Mac. We never used it and let the plan expire in 2010. My ical will not sync with my new iphone because it is linked to the family plan account that no longer exist. Because I don't remember my password, I tried resetting it. It says the personal information I entered is incorrect, but I know the information is correct...It's my birthday it asks for! Does anyone know how to get that account off of my mac without the account existing?
You were a MobileMe (not iCloud) subscriber in 2009 and this service has been terminated. However the login is an Apple ID and this never expires. What is your operating system? Do you have a MobileMe icon in System Preferences? - if so you should be able to sign out in it, but you may not have an iCloud icon to let you create an iCloud account, though you can do so if your iPhone has iOS 5 or above.
If you are getting login requests or other irritations from your MobileMe account you can go to (user)/Library/Preferences/ByHost and delete all .plist files beginning with com.apple.DotMac or com.apple.idisk, then reboot.
The minimum requirement for iCloud to let you sync your data is 10.7.5 though you can sync through iTunes (except with Mavericks).

By "tilt lock", I think you mean the portrait - landscape lock.
Turn that off by clicking the home button twice, then swipe the lower four icons from left-to-right. At the left side of the resulting four icons, you should see a circle with a padlock. Click the padlock to unlock it. Then click the home button to return to a normal display. -
A friend of my daughter's used my mac computer when she got her new iphone to help set it up. Now that I have a new iphone, her apps and all the app store information is stuck on my phone. Open iTunes on the computer. Without any iPhone plugged in, go to iTunes' menu and do Store > Sign Out.
The click the iTunes Store row on the left of the iTunes display. You can then sign on from the signon row on the right side of the display using the correct Apple ID and password. Then you'll be all set! -

#1, this is a Mac pro forum, for non-portable macs, just sayin'
#2, go into preferences, then network, and take a look. under ethernet, you should see a green light, or if you connect via WiFi, you should see something at the top of your screen which shows you that WiFi is active and which network you are connected to. If you don't see anything, reboot your router/modem, and restart your Macbook pro, then reconnect to wifi. It should go looking for active networks, then ask if you want to connect to whatever, or connect automatically, and you should see a wifi symbol at the top of your screen showing you that are connected, how you're connected( WiFi or whatever) and that you can be online again. if you connect via Ethernet, try releasing and renewing your IP address, which is found under "network" under "Preferences"

If you want to remove your e-mail from the mail app go into settings, mail, contacts and calendar and then tap on the account in question and delete it. -
My computer has changed how it accepts photos from my phone. They used to post into a library by the month and year, e.g., "Feb 2014 photo stream," but now all of the photos from my phone for the past year or so are lumped together into the "Shared" section under "photo stream." I did not put them there (that I know of) and now don't know how to get them out and into a library where I can categorize them.
The monthly events "Feb2014" will show you all photos that have been imported from "My Photo STream", if you have enabled "Automatic Import" in the "Preferences > iCloud" tab.
The albums you are seeing under "iCloud" are the "Shared Photo Streams" and "My Photo Stream". To import from your "Shared Streams" drag the photos frommthe Shared Streams album to the Projects in the library panel. -
I updated my iphone 4s iOS 6 however my app store is now in german. I don't know how to get to back to english & now it won't update any of my purchases. Please help
I also had the same issue (I downloaded IOS6 on my Ipad in Germany, when I was travelling). I could not get into the Settings/ITunes & App Store and log out of my account as the Apple ID was greyed out and nothing happened when I clicked on my user id. I then had to go into iTunes and found that my user id at bottom of the screen in ITunes, click on my user id and assume that the german words meant to log out. I then was able to log back in and English was restored in the iTunes and App store.

When I try to buy something, I get an Apple-ID which is not the one I want to use, and I don't know how to get rid of it either, so that I can replace it with my ID in Mail, contacts etc. The ID I get without wanting it, I can't find anywhere. I have a toshiba computer and it is windows 7, recently after I installed imatch everytime I open itunes I get the message 'i tunes has stopped working' and windows cannot find a solution and has to close. There is no solution and I don't know how to get the crash information on my computer....can anyone help as I want to finish downloading all my songs to match to be available on my mac products.

How do I turn on my ipad, I just got it and I don't know how to get to the homescreen. Everytime I turn it on there is a black screen, the white charger, and the blue itunes circle. Also, are itunes free.?
You must activate the iPad within iTunes on your computer. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer (read the minimum requirements for the iPad printed on the iPad box) and connect the iPad to your computer with the supplied cable to a 2.0 USB port - not a port on a hub- a port on your computer. iTunes should start and take you through the process.
iTunes on the iPad is a store where you purchase media - it is not the music player. The iPod app is the music player. Both apps are pre installed on the iPad. -
I used to have an icon on my menu bar at the top of my screen to help me detect displays (monitors) It has disappeared and I don't know how to get it back. Does anyone know?

I right clicked my iPod on iTunes and clicked restore from back up because i thought it would undo my IOS6 update. IT DELETED ALL MY PICTURES (2,000) AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET THEM BACK!!!! Please help me!!!!!

all my pictures in iPhoto got deleted and i don't know how to get them back so could anyone help me with that ??
We do need more information to help. Are the images gone from your iPhoto library, or is the iPhoto Library missing? How and when did this happen?
If images are missing from the library: Did you check for hidden photos? Did you check the iPhoto Trash?
If the pictures are still in the iPhoto Trash, open the Trash, select the images and and press the liitle arrow in the lower right corner - select "Put back".
If the pictures are still in an "iPhoto" folder in the system Trash (with sub folders named by date), import these folders to your iPhoto library.
Have you checked, if you have opened the correct iPhoto Library? Launch iPhoto with the options key held down, to select another Library.
If the entire Library is missing, have you searched for ".photolibrary" with spotlight?
Do have a backup?
If none of these easy measures helps, report back with more details - your iPhoto version, and anything else that might be helpful to find out, what the problem is. Don't do anything that changes the contents of your hard drive for now.

I have an iMac using OS X 10.4.11. Beginning several days ago, all incoming emails have, after the usual email header and before the message appears, one to two pages of technical data (e.g., Dkim-Signature, Domainkey-Signature, Content-Transfer-Encoding, etc.). This is similar and more complex that the info one receives when an undeliverable email bounces back. I don't know where this stuff comes from, or how it came, and I don't know how to get rid of it. Any ideas? I'm something of a newbie to computers (um, what's a Tag?).
That just sounds like the mail headers. Most people don't know (or care) about them so they're usually hidden.
Check Mail -> Preferences -> Viewing -> Show header detail
I'm guessing it's set to 'All'. Switch it to 'Default' or None as you prefer.
