TS4001 Transferring Google Chrome bookmarks to iOS using iCloud

I want to transfer my Google Chrome bookmarks to iOS using iCloud. How do I do it? My iCloud control panel does not have an 'options' button for bookmarks and it says 'Bookmarks with Internet Explorer'.

You could export the chrome bookmarks (as an html file) from your macbook, move the html file over to your new macbook pro, and import that html file into chrome there.
In chrome, Bookmarks menu, select Bookmark Manager. A new tab will open with all your bookmarks.
Near the top of the bookmarks list is a toolbar that says "Bookmark Manager" and "Organize". Left click the "Organize" and a menu will come up under it where the last two items are for exporting and importing. Use them to create (export) the bookmark html file and to import that file on your new machine.

Hello! I have just updated to a Macbook pro from my macbook. I'm finding it difficult to transfer my Google chrome bookmarks over? i dont have wifi atm so ive used an external hard drive to transfer! Which has worked well.......Except the Bookmarks? any ideas please?

I have saved My Google Chrome bookmarks as HTML and want to import them into my mozilla bookmarks, when I go to import HTML it seems to load somthing but when I go back to check my bookmarks in mozilla they are not there. I would like to use mozilla more

Yes, I did search before but restricted it to the past month, because I had the feeling that it’s worse now since the update to 5.1.10, but I may be wrong.
It seems this is an old and unsolved common problem.

“Top Sites” is hot, but I’ve never used that funny dots without any mouse-over text.
After deleting (before starting Safari) it’s restored by a default TopSites.plist, it seems these cookies
- are only reloaded when viewing the Top Sites (?)
- are not among my reappearing cookies, I have never seen such a cookie / cache on my system before (e.g. expedia, orbitz, monster, usatoday, disney, craigslist).
And Top Sites would not explain why the Web Inspector has different infos regarding use of cookies and local storage than Safari’s “Privacy” tab.
After playing with deleting TopSites.plist, without surfing, suddenly I have ”121 cookies or other data” at Safari’s Privacy tab, nearly all are listed as “Cache” or “Cache, Cookies” but the Web Inspector doesn’t show any of them, only my google.co.uk items.

Google Chrome bookmarks keep showing up after I re-organize them!

Hello! My Google Chrome bookmarks keep showing up after I re-organize them into their appropriate folders on my bookmarks bar.. It's very frustrating because I put a lot of time and effort into keeping everything on my Mac super-organized, just for me to organize everything into folders using the "Bookmark Manager", and then re-open Chrome, to find out that:
-all of my bookmarks are in the "appropriate folders" that i put them in
-all of the bookmarks that were "floaters" (not in a folder previously, just on the bookmarks bar, but were moved into a folder) are returning back to their original positions on the bookmarks bar.. but they are still inside the "folder" as well.. basically creating many duplicate "Favorites" if I then move those into the folders.. and then it repeats over and over
Can anybody help shed some insight on what could be going on here? Thanks!

What version of Google chrome is better to use on iMac running Lion

Seem to be having a lot of trouble using Google Chrome on my iMac running OSX Lion 10.7.3. Each time I use it, I get the message that my profile couldn't be opened. Then when I try to quit Chrome it causes my computer to freeze and I end up having to force quit. Often times when I then restart my Mac Chrome just starts automatically. Should I be using Chrome Beta instead of the standard Chrome? Are there any other suggestions out there that might help mesolve this problem? I don't remember ever creating a Google profile so don't undeerstand why I keep getting that message. I can't seem to figure out where that profile would be in Chrome so that I could sign out of it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No, you have to upgrade to Snow Leopard first before upgrading any higher. Note that your system does support a higher upgrade, but Snow Leopard is required first.

The only app that will run is Google Chrome and non-internet using apps.

My Droid is almost 2 years old and has been working perfectly. I just received a notification that I would be eligible for an upgrade in May, along with contract renewal. Three days later, my phone will NOT connect to any internet-based apps, such as: Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, Imgur, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc. However, Google Chrome is working perfectly, with the exception of any "mobile-based" sites. For example, I can log in to my Facebook account and browse as long as it is not the mobile version of the site. Does anyone have any answers as to why this would be happening? I haven't been able to locate any answers. Thank you in advance!

That's definitely strange, kzmidge. I want a working phone in your hands though. I noticed you mentioned you received the suggestion to complete a reset. Did you already do that? Is it working again? Are you receiving an error message?
If you hesitated a little longer to complete the reset, you can try to place your phone into Safe Mode http://vz.to/rxg0ii and see if you can access mobile sites from your browser. This mode will stop 3rd party applications from running, so you won't be able to use the apps you mentioned but we may be able to narrow down the trouble in Safe Mode. If the mobile sites work, that means the trouble may be in a recently downloaded application and you may be able to avoid the reset my uninstalling some of your more recently installed applications. If it's still giving you trouble, the reset http://vz.to/18wzOCi is the next best step.

Syncing Google Chrome Bookmarks to iPhone (/iPad)

So, I've used Chrome long enough to realize that it lays the smack down on Safari in terms of memory handling.. and I'd really like to start using it as my primary browser.
Just one problem:
I can't sync my bookmarks from Chrome to iOS.
Any solutions? Chrome saves me between 50 and 75% memory usage.. I'd really hate to give that up over something so minor, but my ability to sync bookmarks is pretty critical.

I have paid for extra storage space on iCloud so that I can have all 600 of my photos on my iPhone 4 backed up. However, only 12 of my photos are showing up on my PC when I open up my photo stream. Why isn't iCloud automatically uploading all of my photos to the photo stream?

It isn't clear from your question if you had Photo Stream turned on before you took all 600 of the photos. Per the "When do Photos upload to My Photo Stream" section of http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486 only new photos taken after you turned it on will upload.
If you have older photos that you want to transfer to your computer, you may need to do it by importing using a cable as described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083

PC Sync Bookmarks with Google Chrome

Hi all, trying to Sync Google Chrome bookmarks (my default browser) with my E71 via PC Sync (7.1.26.0), but Chome is not listed in the Bookmarks source tab in PC Sync (list IE and FF)
Also would love to sync email folders but understand this is not poss on the E71?

As of now Nokia PC Suite supports bookmark sync with IE and Firefox only as you mentioned no support for any other bookmark sync
When it comes to email sync, Nokia PC Suite supports few S60 devices for email sync provided both Nokia PC Suite's PC Sync and the connected phone has this feature of email sync. But to avoid some confusion, nokia pc suite has withdrew this option for some of the devices, which it was supported in previous pc suite versions, say Nokia N 78, with current 7.1.30.8 pc suite version, nokia n 78's emails cannot be synched with nokia pc suite whereas with previous pc suites it had supported....

Skype Toolbar in Google Chrome

Skype Toolbar [what's that?] keeps crashing when I have a number of tabs open in Google Chrome. Each open tab will get this message and my whole system - everything - slows to a crawl unless I go to each tab to close the message. Sometimes I have to close Google Chrome and restart it, losing all my open tabs. What is Skype Toolbar? How do I stop it from crashing all over the place? Any permanent fixes?

Noted another query on same issue by emmettashe. Respondee asking for more details: Message received is in a pale brownish-yellow band approx 15mm high, near the top of the window directly below the google chrome bookmark bar which runs across the window. Warning also runs right across the window. Warning is repeated for every open tab.
Message is 'Warning: Skype Toolbar has crashed. There is only the option to close the warning itself with the usual x at the far right. No options are given for a fix or to temporarily close or disable Skype Toolbar.
I'm using Windows XP SP3 on an old Dell Inspiron 9000series (9800?)
My Skype is 5.5.0.114.

Google chrome helper

Google chrome helper is frequently using 100+% cpu when watching youtube videos in HD. Why is this so and how do I fix it? HD videos play just fine on Safari but I would hate to use safari because of the lag. Did a search and did not see anyone else with identical issues as well.
