This will help you understand how to store the data. When the app starts up again get the state information from the persistencemanager and reset you game to the state you need. It requires a bit of code for the startup, but it is relatively simple.

How do you get multiple screens on the iPad with iOS 5.1.1? We just upgraded to iOS 5.1.1, and we see no way to be able to open multiple screens at once. Before, there was a small button in the upper portion of any window. That button would take you from a particular window to the place where multiple windows are open at once. Does it do it differently? Is there a special setting button that we have missed? Thanks!
One more thing: We are only talking about Safari.

I don't think I've seen a way to have separate Safari screens visible at the same time. The small thumbnails were deleted in one of the iOS updates, and replaced with a multiple "Tab" system.
You can open an additional screen in a new "tab" by pressing and holding on a link until a new menu comes up.

It all depends on what I need to use the document for.
When I need to create a text document that I need to share at work I use OnLive Desktop. This gives me a Windows 7 Desktop with Office 2010 apps on it that I can connect to DropBox. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/onlive-desktop/id490292278?mt=8 or CloudOn https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cloudon/id474025452?mt=8. You have to be connected to a FAST wifi network to use this option.

Connects to DropBox.

Connects to iCloud and you can open in Pages from DropBox.

There are lots of options out there, it just depends on what you need to do the most.

Create a paragraph style which has the margins and paragraph indent where you want them.

If you sync with iTunes, then connect the device to your computer and open iTunes. Select the Apps option under the Library heading. Locate the app, select it, then press the Delete key. This removes it completely.

I am running Numbers '09 v2.3.
Need to sign on to iCloud under Mac Preference Settings.
When I start Numbers, I can view files stored on iCloud, or locally on the Mac harddisk.

If you have an external hard drive, you can use the Restore tab in Disk Utility to copy the contents of one disk to another. Note that this will erase the destination drive, and may very well fail. You could also use the command line in the Terminal from recovery mode and copy files that way, but that requires knowledge of how to use Unix filesystem commands. You could also try connecting the Mac to another Mac via Firewire target disk mode and copy the data that way.
Alternately, if your Mac won't start up, you could try just repairing the hard drive with Disk Utility and then installing Mac OS X on top of your existing system. That will replace all the system files but leave your files and apps alone. (Of course, things can go wrong in cases like this, so making some kind of backups would be a good idea.)

You can't work from the cloud; it's not fast enough, but you can use it to pass projects back and forth. Both machines need to have all the media, and the media needs to be external, including the cache files. You cannot use managed media for this, not for a production of any real size.
The process basically is that you work on one machine and when you're done you upload the library to the cloud. When you go to the other machine, you download the library from the cloud and continue working. The process repeats back and forth. That's the basic plan. To make it more efficient you can just upload the changes you made by making a new library and copying the project or event into it to have a minimal, transfer library. You use transfer libraries to just move what you need up and down. This is more efficient as libraries, even with external media, can get quite large.

Once you take a photo w/ your camera it should save the photo in your photos. You then have a few options. You an MMS or email the photo to yourself if then you can upload. Websites like facebook you can upload from your camera roll on your iphone. I supposed it really depends on the website.

How do we disable inline attachments on the iPad?

We have an MDM app and a file library app that sync a number of PDFs to our end user iPads. If we sync out a single page PDF and the end user attempts to email that PDF, it is emailed as an inline image instead of being attached as an icon. This is fine for iDevice and Mac Mail recipients, but most of our recipients are physicians or hospitals running MS Exchange and Outlook. The single page PDF appears as a small, square icon with a red X in the middle in Outlook. To remedy this, we've added a blank page to the end of each PDF document. This works well, but is undesirable as it makes a nice pretty ad slick look like someone didn't know what they were doing.
Searches online have yielded a setting in the Mac OS, DisableInlineAttachmentViewing, that can be tweaked from a terminal command. But obviously terminal isn't available on the iPad.
Is there anything we can do differently to affect this change?
It's not a setting that the MDM sync library software has, this is an iOS limitation as I've tested it using other apps (Adobe Acrobat for iPad) and it yields same results.

On your iPad, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Under Accounts, tap Add Account
Tap Other, and under Calendars, tap Add Subscribed Calendar
In the Server box, type http://ical.mac.com/ical/US32Holidays.ics
Tap the next button, and when the subscription box appears, tap the save button. No other entries are required.
Open the Calendar app and tap the Calendars button at the top left. You'll find your new holiday calendar at the bottom of the list under "Subscribed".
To unsubscribe, go back to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Tap US Holidays Calendar under Accounts, tap the red "delete account" and tap "Delete".

I'd like to know how to create a group in contacts in Address Book on the iPad or iPhone.

I just tried this method and it works. I'm also looking into creating groups using iCloud, but haven't really read into it yet.
1) go to your Contacts App. Select "All Contacts", or whatever area you want to include your new group.
2) touch the + sign at the bottom which will add in a new contact. Yes, you're right, this is NOT a group contact, but an individual one.
3) In the "First" name field, add in the name of the group. You can ignore Last name and/or company if you want, or add in more info.
4) add your string of email names in the "email" field. I believe the default just says Home.
voila.
I recommend that you first make the string of names in another text app, such as notes first as I accidentally touched the little 'x' mark on the far right side which deleted my progress...argh. Or, if you have a lot of addressses to add, you might want to do it on your computer first, and then just email the list to yourself. I'm sure there are easier ways, but this is a quick and easy way, especially if your email group isn't large.
