TS4002 iCloud emails message body showing blank in Mac mail.
The content of emails (message body) is sometimes blank in Mac mail but visible on both my iPhone and iCloud. I can't seem to find a fix?
Strange that this is such an old thread - seems like the problem has popped up again here.

ICloud email messages not showing up in Mac mail
I just noticed that my Mail client on mac osx lion isn't receiving emails on my @me.com account from the iCloud.
The emails are showing up fine on my iphone, but they are not appearing in Mail on my Mac.
This seems to be a new issue as I didn't notice it yesterday after moving on Wed to iCloud.
Any ideas?I had the same problem today and have a solution.
I deleted the iCloud account from Mail, quit Mail, reopened Mail and then set up the account again. (I noticed that it did update the grayed out [uneditable] incoming mail server.) The messages that had been available on iOS 5 appeared in Mail and all is working fine now. It took about a minute to fix and I hope this works for you. -
Am a new user - iPad3. As my Apple ID I used my Yahoo!Mail address and but used adifferent password to that which I use on Yahoo. In my icloud email account Account shows as my Yahoo mail address but neither my Apple password nor my Yahoo pasword work. I am also unable to open any other mail accounts such as gmail. Can anyone help please?

Hotmail messages not showing up in Mac Mail
I have setup Hotmail as an IMAP account - it took several days for all the messages in my very large mailbox to come across. Now that they seem to be there, Mac Mail will not display them -- I click on the inbox and nothing shows up. I also have a Gmail account setup and those messages display properly. If I do a find for a message I know has arrived in hotmail, it shows the results of the find. Anyone have suggestions on how I can get my messages to display properly?

Email message body won't display in mail application
I use an iPhone 4S, and when I go to view my emails in the apple mail app, I can see the preview of the message. However, when I tap on a message to open it, my phone does not display the body of the message anymore, only the subject and the sender line. My phone worked fine before and this issue began a few days ago. Any suggestions to resolve this problem? Thank you.

It started on the external display and actually the very first time I could still see the message content, it went blank only when I clicked on the "see more from..." hyperlink to unravel the message's full content. Then it started happening to the message as a whole and just by selecting a message to view it. Also, it happens on both the external and laptop displays, on the laptop display both when external display is connected or not, after successive restarts and shutdowns.
I hope this gives you a better idea, but do get back to me if you need more inf.

TS4002 icloud email all in white and showing wrong year - what do I do?!
My icloud emaila ccount is showing 1970 for the email dates and all of the emails are white apart from the the senders name. What do I do?
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

Once I send my email on icloud, it does not show up on my mail client or on icloud. How can I retrieve an email sent this way?
SADLY not as i downloaded an upgrad to my original PAGES/
i have in the meantim had to open www.icloud. then from there import the file that i am working on and then check on ipad if it uploaded/ yes it did.
but what a waste of time as it doesn not save any changes done automatically back in the cloud....
i am now downloading the new LION and hope that it will fix the problem
i cant find any other way. I was lead to believe that you wrote, it saved automatically, on to the cloud, you then opened anohter device in anotother country even, and the new file was there, waiting, in its latest version.......
and the same magic was supposed to happen in reverse.

if i have to open a browser, go to www.icloud....why on earth did they not just leave us an icon to drop it in in that case?

Solved my own problem. Went to iCloud email on my PC. One message was marked as unread despite fact I had read it on iPad. " read" offending message on PC and it disappeared from iPad

Email messages won't download to Mac Pro but do download on iPhone 5. I've made no changes in the settings on added any updates, etc. When I "check for new mail" I hear an ping - a tone I normally don't get but no messages appear. Thanks in advance for an help you can give.
I had to call Apple Support for resolution. I'm not entirely clear on the origin of the problem but it seems that the server name(s) for Apple Mail were changed by Yahoo. It took a considerable time to correct but a senior advisor at Apple pulled it through.

Can you use Windows Live Mail to send/recieve iCloud email and share contacts or can I just use iCloud email on my PC without use Live Mail? I want to use one email adress, one contact list and one calendar. I want to be able to have access to all this on my iphone and pc.
You can only use Mail, contacts and calendars will not work, for that you need Outlook.

I have NEVER used my icloud email address and am now getting spam mail to services I have NEVER signed up to. Should I conclude from this that Apple have sold my details on?
To tell me to mark it as spam is just not good enough. I do not want this rubbish cluttering my inbox.Nobody want to receive spam, but it's a fact of life. Apple is certainly not selling your address on to spammers, and it's possible that the spammer has been guessing at possible addresses and has hit on yours.
A good third-party program for dealing with spam is SpamSieve - after a training period it's very good at identifying spam and shunting it to a Spam folder where you can check it and delete at your leisure. It works with iCloud. -
Wrong counts on unread emails on my gmail folders in Mac Mail

I have deleted mnessages everywhere and still this count tag appears with same number.
PierreThere are two standard protocols for receiving email, POP and IMAP. In the POP (Post Office Protocol) when messages are "read" by your email client (Mail) they are downloaded and stored on the reading computer and deleted from the POP server. When you are using IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) the messages remain on the IMAP server until they are deleted. IMAP was created for exactly the situation you are trying to achieve. For example Apple's iCloud (formerly me.com, formerly mac.com) uses IMAP protocol. So whether I access my email on my Mac, my iPhone, my iPad, or via webmail I have access to all the files in all the various mailboxes automatically because they are all seeing and using the same online mailboxes. If I delete a message on any of the varioius devices it is deleted on all of the various devices.
Whether you can use IMAP protocol or not depends on your email host and whether they have an IMAP server or not. Many ISPs do not offer IMAP because they do not want to bear the expense of the additional disk space required to store the IMAP messages. As I mentioned before Apple's free email service is by default IMAP. Google Mail offers a somewhat non-standard IMAP service. It works with Apple's email client, Mail, but it is just a bit "different".
Personally I resisted using IMAP for years. Largely because I had always used POP and was comfortable with it. Once I got an iPhone and needed to synch my email between my computer and iPhone I realized IMAP was "the only way to go." -

I did not use migration assistant, nor do I wish to, I believe it was set up through icloud. Now that I needed my calendar while doing taxes I discover there are no events for 2014 and earlier (except 2 oddly enough). I do remember that iCloud instructions were not clear as to what would happen in the choices it gave.
I copied my old user files over from my external back up after my old computer stopped working, was hoping I could put ical folders in the right place to be used by Calendar or import somehow. -
Email message field is blank, but message body has text
I have a client that likes to see the message text appear in the message window via the "Message Field Column" rather than use a preview pane. When this is done there are some messages that have text in the body of the email, but display no text
in the message Field. I have expanded out the field to see if I can find any characters hidden, but this is not the case.

I've noticed such issue happen to some emails in my mailbox, when I open the problematic emails, I found that those emails are composed with images and the text within it is not editable. Please try open one problematic email and click
Actions under Message tab > Edit Message, check if you can delete the text within the message body.
In addition, if any characters are hidden, you will see the Message column shows ellipsis dots like this:
If you hover your mouse over blank column, you'll see the message body. Please check if this is the case and let me know the result.
