If you're still having this problem, try resetting it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release.

My phone is frozen with a message "not enough storage" i cant restart
i recently updated my phone. today, i cant get past a message that is titled "not enough storage". It will not allow me to use the screen. i can see calls coming in, but am unable to answer. it will also not let me turn off the phone, as i can't use the touch screen.
Hold down the sleep and home button till it turns off, then hold down the power button to turn it back on :)

Some how I can't turn it off.The problem could be that you don't have enough storage on the iPad itself. Go to Settings>General>Storage to see how much "Storage" you have available. Farther down the list is the available storage on iCloud.
A device needs many MB of storage in order to perform a backup to iCloud.
IF THE SETTINGS ICON DOESN'T WORK, REBOOT THE DEVICE (HOLD POWER AND HOME BUTTONS AT SOME TIME AND WAIT FOR SLIDER TO APPEAR; SLIDE IT OFF. -

I am getting the "not enough storage" message but to my knowledge I have never used back-up on my wife's Ipad. We are not big users of itunes or any other download.
Back it up. While uninstalling and reinstalling it doesn't normally affect the library, other things, such as drive failures, can.

How come my Iphone 4 keeps saying not enough storagespace to take any more pictures and can't get updates yet I keep deleting apps and photos off my phone and my itunes on my computer and yet I feel like I don't have many apps or that many photos?
Check Settings > General > Usage to display what's taking all your space.

You need to delete some of your iPad's *on-board* (Apps, music, videos, etc) content to make room.
Settings>General>Usage. Delete Apps you don't need from here or music & videos you no longer need on the device.
The storage you are likely talking about "purchasing" is for iCloud Storage where your backups of music and content are stored *as a backup*. You get 5GB for free but need to purchase additional if you need it. You cannot run apps from iCloud...they must be on the actual device. -
Ipad mini screen is frozen. Message says Not Enough Storage. Cannot be backed up ect. problem is I can not enter settings to manage storage or even turn the device off. the screen is frozen and will not allow me to do anything. Anyone got any ideas?

"This iPhone cannot be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage available."
This message is displayed when there is not enough storage space available in your iCloud Storage to complete your backup. You can either reduce the amount of data you are backing up under Backup Options, or you can buy more storage.
