not sure where the problem lies but have tried uninstalling itunes and its apps reinstalling latest version but it is the same i can view my iphone as soon as its plugged in via usb when i got to edit music to sync it all appears fine but when i click apply it appears to start syncing for 1sec and then stops with no error messages but my phone remains the same also it wouldn't want to backup either.
so iv tried another pc with itunes and can backup fine but however since updating IOS 7.1 and itunes not letting me backup before i now have lost my apps.
they apper in itunes but it wont sync them back on and my old update from jan can not be found so i checked the directory C:\Users\####\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup ---and re added the old backup only to find it wont show it so stuck in same boat Has anyone had this problem and know a solution please help................
also must mention i have never had trouble that i couldn't fix on itunes but all of this has started since i have been using icloud for basic backups hope this helps solve problem

it sounds like you were using iCloud. Go under Settings > iCloud and make sure the switch for Notes is ON (green side showing). If it's already on, turn it off, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Your notes should sync up.

Thank you for the help. Every app on my phone was downloaded using my old I-tunes ID. I just hope that they will re-download under my new ID because I still can't change it on my phone. In order to change to the new ID it says I have to sign out from the old ID and change to the new one. My problem is that I don't remember my password to be able to sign out from my old ID. Then the phone says it can change my password through e-mail and I agree but I never get an e-mail at my old address or the new one.

i just got my itunes card and was about to buy some music when it asked me for my security questions which i dont know and it ended up locking me out , i just unlocked it but i still cant answer the questions.ive had people tell me that i should go to my apple id account and it would give me a link to reset them there but it doesnt show up on mine what can i do?
The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account. If you aren't getting the link (you won't be able to add a rescue email address until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

i updated my phone and have lost all my contacts i have restored and all my apps are back but no contacts! help!
What application were you syncing your contact to before you updated? Check the settings on the info tab and sync them back.
If you were NOT syncing them to an application (Outlook or Windows Address Book on a PC, Address Book on a Mac), you can try forcing a restore from your backup again. If they don't come back, they are most likely gone. -
I just updated my iPhone 4s to iOS 5.1. Since the update, I am not able to make calls or send sms. I reset network settings several times but not luck. I have also turned off data and 3G but no luck.
Could anyone please help me? Right now, my iPhone 4s is use-less.

When I do connect the phone. iTunes says back up was interupted and to click to resume, it just then hangs on time remaining without a number? If I dissconnect during this I get Error (-10) I can then access my phone in iTunes and my phone does work? In iTunes I can see all the things that were on my phone, all the Apps/Music/Phots/Other etc.. with their relevant amount (Music 8.2gb/Apps 2.1gb etc...) in the coloured bar along the bottom, so if I then click Apply you would think it would just copy them to the phone. It doesn't as soon as you click Apply the multi coloured bar and catagories changes just to 'Other' and (1004mb) and only the basics are on my phone. No music, no additional Apps and only Camera Roll, not photos from chosen folder.

I Have just updated to iOS 8 and have lost all my Pages docs this is a huge disaster. Is there any way to get them back ? I hope that they are in the cloud but I have never used it to get anything back before. Can any one help. Is it possible to do this without a PC or laptop?
You really need to try this on a computer, not on the iPad.
Seeing how what is in the cloud is also on the iPad, if the content is not on the iPad, there is a good chance that the content is lost. But you can try logging into www.icloud.com in a web browser on a computer and log into your account and see if you can get into the Pages app. You may have to sign up for iCloud drive if you didn't do so already. Make SURE you that you read the blurb that will pop up in that window in iCloud for more information. -

Thanks alot for the advice - great to see there are so many helpful people out there . Anyway, I followed your instructions and although some of the apps transferred from i tunes to my iPad the first time, unfortunately some of the apps that I selected to transfer (which were purchased) did not transfer. There were only a few but it would have been great to have got them back onto my iPad!

Have just updated to iOS 6. When update completed the No SIM icon activated. Have tried to restore settings, but no help. now at a point that when I try to power up it won't activate due to not recognizing the SIM. SIM has been checked.
