TS4268 iMessage neither Facetime let me sign in with my Apple id
In my new iPad with just downloaded iOS6 I cannot sign in using my existing Apple ID. I keep trying and trying, and nada.
Hi all. Same problem. I tried changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. but nothing is working! Not having Facetime is driving me crazy!
I've tried:
restarting
rebooting
changing DNS to the above numbers
Date/time is correct
Restrictions are off
Apple ID/email and password is correct, and verified on the apple site
Intenet/wifi is working - I can access iStore and internet
PLEASE HELP!!!

Purchases are tied to the iTunes account they were purchased with.
You can add it to your iTunes library and authorize your computer with his iTunesID. -

Reset the iPad to factory and set it up with your Apple ID and password. You can still sync different apps, music and other stuff onto the iPad, the devices need not mirror each other.
I have an old wifi iPad, an iPod touch and a new iPad mini with cellular. All on the same Apple ID and password, different content on some apps, same on others. -

Make sure you are signing in with an iCloud ID, not just an Apple ID. You have to first create your iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher. After creating your account on one of these devices you will then be able to sign into the account using this ID on your PC.

Return it and get a refund. Without the prior owner's Apple ID and password that device is useless. Find My iPhone Activation Lock- Removing a device from a previous owner’s account. You were screwed by the ignorance of the pawn shop owner.

The fail message is unable to sign in,check network connection.Every else works just fine (app store, iTunes,safari )

TS4268 My iMessage won't let me sign in
I have updated to ios7 but my I message won't work because it won't sign in with my Apple ID. I have tried this I'd everywhere else and works fine. The error message comes up and say network connection, I have been connected to two routers and cellular but still no joy. I have tried all of the trouble shooting and the doesn't work either.

Have you tried:
Turn FaceTime or iMessage off and then back on in Settings.
Launch Settings by tapping the icon on the Home screen
Scroll down to Messages or FaceTime
Toggle the switch from on (green) to off (white)
Wait a minute
Toggle the switch back to on (green)
Wait for it to re-activate
Hard reboot your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad
Make sure you're on Wi-Fi
Hold down both the Home button on the front, and the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device
Wait for the Apple logo to appear
If it still doesn't work, repeat step 1 (turning FaceTime or iMessage off and on)
Reset network settings
Launch Settings by tapping on the icon on the Home screen
Tap on General
Scroll all the way to the bottom and tap on Reset
Tap on Reset Network Settings
If it still doesn't work, repeat step 1, then step 2, above (Turning FaceTime or iMessage off and one, rebooting).

i changed my sim on my iPhone n reconfigured iMessage, it configured with my number but when i sign in with my apple id it says username/password is wrong while in all other things like FaceTime, App Store it worked with the same id and password..

So, i did what you said.. went to setting>app store> tapped on my e mail.. it asked me to sign in (with my invalid emails address showing). I signed in with the password I had created. After I either did my Lion update or my iOs7 update or changed my password about a month ago, iMessage won't let me sign in. Today is the first day I've used it on my computer and i never sign in or out usually. I try to sign in and when I do it says "The registering device does not have appropriate credentials." I am able to sign into everything else with my apple ID and password with ease. I do not have any other accounts, just the one. I also am only using it on my computer and phone. What's wrong?
Check if Date & Time is set to "Set Automatically"
Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On. -
Hello. I have an ipod touch 4th generation. I have been trying to work facetime and imessage for 3 days, i sign in with my user ID and it says signing in and verifying but then it goes back to the sign in page. Can anyone help?
I disabled all my computer's firewalls and sure enough, IT WORKED!! My iPod is updated and just now finishing restoring! Thank you SOOOO SOOO much. : D

iMessage won't let me sign back in. I signed out to see if I signed backed in it would restart iMessage, and now I can't sign back in. Any ideas or tips on how ii can fix it?
I had to do a factory restore on my computer, so I had to sync my iPod Touch back up to it. Now it says my the user name or password is inccorect. I have tried rebooting it and the date/time is set for automatic.

There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having similar problems. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon. -
hello I'm experiencing some problems with my iMessage and face time. I did with Apple provided me online. I did the steps. Nothing will work, it keeps saying activation turn on Wi-Fi when my Wi-Fi is turned on. As soon as I got this on Christmas. iMessage and FaceTime have not been working. My Apple and ID password are correct. Everything else is working fine. My iOS updates are up to date, everything is fine except FaceTime and iMessage
