TS4526 Unknown error when trying to play video from netflix or HBO go.

When I try to play a video from Netflix or HBO go it attempts to load and says unknown error please try again later. I've been trying this for several days. I logged out then logged back in with no change. It seems to play the other apps okay. I've only had the apple tv for a couple months and the software is up to date.

Had the same issue and found this information. Just tested and it worked for me. Hopfully helps some else also!
Answer: Change your DNS setting in the iPhone/iPad Wi-Fi settings.
That worked for me. My original DNS settings were assigned by my WIFI router a. I removed these and placed in: 208.67.222.222 (Open DNS server IP)
To make this adjustment go to Wi-Fi, locate your selected Wi-Fi network and click the blue arrow beside it to being up advanced settings, click in the DNS area to change it.

Yes, the files open when I do that. It has something to do with persmissions I guess on the other system, but I am logging in as the same user/password as when I log in directly. I ran the fix permissions under the disk utility, but still no good. It isn't just related to Excel files either; I am having these problems when I try it with Word too.

Error when trying to play Video

I need help in figuring out why my BB will not play videos. I downloaded a 3GP and an MP4 formatted video directly to my phone and saved it to the Media Card. When i go to play the video I get an error messages that it can not play the video. Please let me know what i need to do.

Unknown error when trying to watch video (-12160)

I have bought on the iTunes Store the second season of Star Trek: The original series. I do not have enough storage on my iPad to download all of the episodes, but I should be able to watch them while they are still on iCloud, provided that I am connected to the internet. I have already watched several movies I had bough via iTunes in the same fashion.
But when I try to watch any episode of this second season, either the video takes a very long time to load and then freezes every five seconds, then three, etc. until it stops completely, or it takes a very long time to load and doesn't load, and I get instead an error message saying The video could not be loaded due to an unknown error (-12160).
Anyone has an idea how I might watch those videos?

'Unknown Error' when trying to save files from CS under Leopard

We recently upgraded to Leopard, and reinstalled our CS apps. Photoshop and InDesign work fine. Illustrator, however gives us an 'An Unknown Error has Occurred' when trying to save any file. After dismissing the alert, a window pops up, informing us that, 'Can't save preview, but all other information was saved successfully. The file couldn't be found. ID=-43.' This happens when trying to save a new file, or an existing file, when saving with PDF preview is checked, or unchecked. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I deleted preferences on both machines. The Intel seems to be cured. All file formats save, printing, and importing are functioning normally.
The G5 however is only modestly improved. I can now at least create and save files. Printing also functions. However if I attempt to use the template dialog box or to import (place) a file the dialogs crash the application.
My suspect is a corrupt font, but until I have time to track down which one it is, I'll have to limp along as is...

good gracious, Dick. you keep getting hit by exotic error messages. (in these circumstances, a -53 code is reasonably rare.)
just checking on something. what got you past the "exception" message that you were getting when you were trying to launch itunes? (thinking here that info on that might possibly give us a heads up on what might be happening with your -53.)

"Unknown error" when trying to get updates from App store...

Anyone else having trouble with the App store today? Trying to take in updates but get a "cannot be completed due to unknown error" huh? I've double/triple checked passwords etc, and they're free updates so I don't get it. Deleted apps and tried to re download, but no go..... Thoughts?

2048 error when trying to play videos off network attached storage

Here is the problem, when i try and play my converted mp4 videos off my nas box i get the error-2048(not a file quicktime understands) but if i copy these files to my computer they play without a problem. I am totally stumped with this problem and will love to no what is causing this and is there a way to fix this problem.

Getting "OSStatus error -19160" when trying to play videos from Web browser

I have Snow Leopard on a MacBook Pro (all silver aluminum), and am having a problem playing a video feed online. I get the message: "OSStatus error -19160". Nothing turns up in Google searches on that particular number. I've checked both QuickTime and Flip4Mac. Both are the latest. Any idea what this is? Is there a place that lists all OSStatus errors?

I encountered error -19160 while attempting to stream a site that had formerly worked just fine.
I'm using Quicktime 10.0 and I've installed Flip4Mac 2.4 on a Mac Mini with Intel processors. Earlier in the day I opened FireFox while streaming (I close FF after QT begins streaming) - Quicktime ended the stream at that point and wouldn't pick it back up. I thought it was just a case of "don't do *that* again".
When I attempted to view the same stream later that day I was met with the error -19160 message. Fiddled around with settings, booted soft & hard but nothing eliminated the error UNTIL
I dragged the WMV player icon from the Applications folder to the Trash bin - soft booted, then chose "Put Back" from the Trash menu.
Everything now works splendidly.

Unable to load media error when trying to play a video in Sharepoint 2013

My team consistently gets an error when trying to play a video in SharePoint 2013. I can upload it, pick a thumbnail and save it. When anyone else goes to the intranet site and tries to play the video, they get a media failed to load error.
I have tried mp4 and wmv formats. I at first thought it had to do with the codec used in Camtasia to create the video, so I encoded it in Microsoft Encoder to a wmv and it still fails. All of the videos I upload fail for other users. If someone else uploads
a video, I get the error and cannot play the video. If I look at the library in Explorer, the video file is missing but the subdirectories for additional content and thumbnails are present. For the videos I upload and can play but everyone else
gets the error, I see those subdirectories as well as the video file itself.

You will need to re-instal iCal as an optional install from your OSX installer DVDs. Then run the Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update.

I received this email from Apple and this corrected the problem for me... I only had to reset the iTunes cache
1) Open iTunes
2) At the top menu, click File > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac)
3) In the Preferences menu, click the Advanced tab
4) In the Advanced menu, you should see a button that says "Reset Cache". Please click this button.
