Tungsten T5 and Windows Vista 64-bit

I just got a new laptop with Windows Vista 64-bit. I have bluetooth on my laptop. I am trying to figure out some way to sync my T5 with Vista 64-bit. Can someone please help me!

While there is no USB driver written, it is most certainly possible to sync a T5 via BlueTooth or Wifi!!!

Lightroom 5 and Windows Vista 72 bit O.S.

I purchased and downloaded Adobe Lightroom 5. During its installation, I learned that it is not compatable with my Windows Vista 72 bit operating system. The product package indicated "Microsoft Windows XP not supported." No mention was made regarding Vista. It is a fair assumption that Vista would suffice, since it is later than the operating system mentioned. Is there a work-around for this? If not, what will Adobe do to resolve this dilemma? I would be satisfied to exchange for Lightroom 4.

Compatibility of Quicktime and Windows Vista 64 Bit Version

I am currently using Win Vista Home Premium 32 bit. However, I'd like to try the 64 bit version (which I have).
I see the latest version of Itunes is compatible with Windows Vista 64 bit versions. However, that does not appear to be the case with Quicktime. Can anyone confirm this?
If Quicktime is not compatible with Vista 64 bit, is the so called Quicktime Alternative a viable solution?

Hotsyncing a palm centro using a bluetooth adapter and windows vista 64 bit

Please help. I have read and followed all of the other suggestions on this forum and nothing has worked.
I have a palm treo. When I try to hotsync using the bluetooth adapter, it gives me a message stating:
"unable to connect,port is being used by another application".
I have rebooted, soft reset, etc. and still get the same message.
I do not know how to set up another port on the windows vista program. That was one suggestion.
I have selected both bluetooth and serial port under the hot sync manager.
Nothing works.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Windows Vista 64 bit is only sync with a wireless connection. Either Bluetooth or Infra Red. The M515 does not have bluetooth, so you would have to purchase an IR Dongle and sync using Infra Red. You won't be able to sync with the USB cable on your desktop.

Read thru several threads but did not find a solution for this problem for a 64 bit machine.

Windows Vista 64 bit is only sync with a wireless connection. Either Bluetooth or Infra Red. The M515 does not have bluetooth, so you would have to purchase an IR Dongle and sync using Infra Red. You won't be able to sync with the USB cable on your desktop.

Photoshop CS2 and Windows Vista 64 bit

I have just loaded Photoshop CS2 onto my new laptop which has Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit as its OS.
All working well except I notice that,when I made adjustments to a layer (for example,using curves to colour adjust,or even just brighten midtones),it takes a long time for any change to take place to the values of colour sample points which I may have applied to the background layer.
I usually place four colour sample points on my background image to monitor changes as I make adjustments. When I used Photoshop CS2 on my previous laptop which had Windows XP as its OS,changes were instant.
I have the cache level set at 6 in Preferences with 70% available RAM set.
Any help would be much appreciated.

A couple more ideas:
Make sure CS2 is fully updated. In Vista, turn the Aero interface on and off to see if it makes a difference.
Try the old standby of resetting preferences, as described in the FAQ.

You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.
This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.
A complete uninstall/re-install will not affect the preferences and a corrupt file there may be causing the problem.

Help with compatibility of photosmart printer 7760 and Windows Vista 64 bit

Just purchased an HP Pavilion dv5-1150us OS Vista 64 bit,. I have a HP photosmart photo printer model 7760. I did not use the disc that came with the printer to install the printer. Instead I downloaded the needed driver for vista from HP, However, doing so has left me with a printer that prints in a normal mode only, and I do not have any printing software anymore. I cannot change the resolution of the printing for photos where I would want best or max dpi, and have lost all editing and printing options. Is there any way in which I can install the software for the printer and make it work with vista? I was using it with windows XP SP2. and achieved fabulous results. The printer works well and is relatively new. I do not need another cheap printer for documents, which is what this has turned into when using it with my new laptop. Please help.

Mac OS10.6.2 Server and Windows Vista 64 bit client

Can anyone tell me if the problem below was a quirk or if there is an issue generally.
I recently purchased a new workstation using windows Vista Home Premium 64bit.
Our Apple Sserver had a share on it for the intended user of this workstation but I simply could not get a connection to the server. Everytime I tried to connect it said I did not has sufficient privledges.
If I tried logging into the server from another workstation, using XP, Vista or Windows 7 32bit versions I could access the share with no issues.
I eventually erased and installed a 32bit Windows 7 Pro onto the workstation and it connected perfectly.
This was the forst workstation we have bought running a 64bit operating system, and now faced with a further two workstations to purchase I am somewhat worried.
Is it an inherent problem, or was it just a rough PC with perhaps a problem with the initial install of Vista 64bit.
Any help would be appreicated.
The Server just runs AFP, DHCP and SMB sharing, no open directory, no DNS. Also its just a workgroup not a domain we are trying to connect to.

The main problem you're going to have is that Vista will not authenticate in a compatible way to Mac OS X server, not without modifications at the Vista client.

Thanks for getting back to me with the printer information. Much appreciated.
What I would like to do is go step by step through a series of troubleshooting steps with you.
First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
The next step would be to remove the usb cable from the printer and from the computer and leave it disconnected until further notice.
Please click on the following link for Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer so the changes take affect.
When the computer is back up and running, disable any firewalls or anti virus protection you may have running so that we don't have any conflicts with the reinstall.
The next link is for the HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers.
Save the file the desktop so that it creates its own icon. Double click the new icon and follow the instructions. The install will prompt you as to when to connect the usb cable or wireless option so please do not connect the usb until asked to do so.

I have a lot of problems with Vista driver. There is only one driver and it doesn't work correctly. Sometimes I have very bad noise, the sound skips, and it often has disturbance. Well to give Creative their due even if they took their time there are new drivers out for the X-Fi Xtreme Music and Vista and they work just fine. HP Solution Center is the main software program that you use to control and maintain HP printers that use version 13 and 14 software. Your printer uses a version of software that came before version 13 and 14. I believe you have something called HP Director. HP introduced HP Solution Center to replace HP Director in 2004.
I did find a document that says you may be able to install software for Vista that includes Solution Center. Please take a look at the information in this document; HP Director and Windows Vista Compatibility. If you recently upgraded to Windows Vista, you will not be able to use HP Director. However, you might be able to upgrade to HP Solution Center in its place.
This might be the software you need; File name: AIO_CDB_Full_Non-Network_enu_NB.exe

HotSynch Connection gets lost between TE2 and Windows Vista

I'm trying to hotsync (by bluetooth) between my Tungsten E2 and Windows Vista. I got them speaking to each other, but the hotsync starts and never gets past the Calendar. The laptop looks like it's still running, but the TE2 hotsynch log says the connection was lost.
Is there a way to keep them connected long enough to sync?
The TE2 is running Palm OS Garnet v. 5.4.7 and HotSync v. 5.0P
The laptop is running Windows Vista 7 64 bit, HotSync Manager 7.0.2 and Palm Desktop 6.2.2.

Oh, yeah, one more thing..the hotsync works fine by USB cable on the desktop PC running Windows XP, so I don't think there's any corrupted databases on the TE2 (because if there was, then the USB cable hotsync wouldn't work)
