TV Series not playing

I bought a tv series in iTunes on my iPad. It shows up on my Apple TV under purchases, but when selecting play on the individual episodes nothing happens. If I press play on the remote on the actual series icon, it plays the 1st 30 seconds and that's all.
Beside each of the individual episodes is a cloud icon.
Any help?

Please can you tell me why a tv series that i purchased from itunes (Yes Priminister) will not play in itunes. It was playing fine a couple of weeks ago. I have checked i have the latest itunes and quicktime updates.

Installed tv series and one show will not play

I feel like I am getting the run around...
I downloaded to my itunes and installed on my ipod the tv series Big Bang Theory season one. Out of the 17 shows one will not play. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it several times with no sucess. I have sent itunes the problem and they allowed me to redownload that show. Still with the same problem, I have installed the new download on my ipod and it will not play. After writing to itunes with my problem they tell me I need Apple ipod support, and gave me the telephone number to call...After calling and waiting on hold for 5 minutes I am being told it is an itunes problem not an ipod problem...I then decided to install it to my husbands ipod and the one eposide will not play on his ipod either. Any idea's on how I can get this to play?

hmmm, did you get 2 versions? With some moveies you get an HD version for your TV/PC, and an SD version for the iPod. I've only gotten the free TV episodes they give away, so don't know if this is normal for TV shows.
All I can think of, is make sure it's an SD version that goes on the iPod.
edit - on 2nd thought, you obviously know what you're doing if you can get the other shows to play. I would just keep after them. If you have an email with an Apple case number, keep replying to that.

hmmm, did you get 2 versions? With some moveies you get an HD version for your TV/PC, and an SD version for the iPod. I've only gotten the free TV episodes they give away, so don't know if this is normal for TV shows.

I recently downloaded a series of instructional videos. They are in mp4 format and rather large (~500MB on average). When I try and open them with Quicktime (default) they will not play. Are there file size restrictions? Any suggestions would be great

Try VLC Media Player. It has a reputation for playing just about anything you throw at it.

CD-DVD drive does not play or read any cd or dvd

The CD-DVD drive in my Lenovo 3000 series was working fine until last week, I tried to install quickbooks and when I insert the cd in the drive it does nothing (does not show that a cd has been inserted) and would not play any other cd's with microsoft media player.
Can someone help. When I viewed it in the control panel it shows that the drive is working properly.
What to do?

Are you sure that the Files work with the Mac?
Err... Typical example: CD recorded on a PC, with many .jpg files (photos) on board. Seems that there is no "File compatibilty" issue here. CD starts playing on the iMac, in Preview (Icon display mode). Soon, Icon display mode just stops. Seems that the drive is not able to "drill" into the material on the CD further than a certain ares. At this point, it is even difficult to eject the CD. iMac seems to lock up.
I would put the Movies in a mp4 file and the pictures in a jpeg.
No movies on the CD
Why don't you use an external drive or Air drop to move files?
Should not need an external dribe to just play a CD containing photos, provided by another party. Simple operation , no?

Audio on last slide after quiz questions not playing

Captivate v5.5
I have a project with a question pool and a series of random questions
The random question slides are without audio.
After finishing the question pool the project closes with the final slide which does have some audio - which runs fine when I test the slide.
However when I test the whole project (F12) the audio on the last slide does not play.
The audio on the slides prior to the random question slides plays without any problem.
Any ideas please?

Thanks for the suggestion. But changing the question setting to infinite attempts will just allow the user to retry each question over and over until they get it correct. I want to give them one chance to answer each question for the entire quiz. Then, if they don't pass, they can try the entire quiz again.
I ended up finding a resolution, though. Based on one of the suggestions from this blog, I just shortened my slide time for each question to .5 sec (it was originally 3 sec). That seemed to do the trick!

6233 not playing .wav files

i've purchased new 6233 and the firmware is 4.52 but its not playing .wav files, whereas one of my friend has the same phone with 3.70 firmware and its playing without n e problem.

Only Series 60,80 and 90 phones running Symbian operating system are capable of playing WAV files. From what I know, Series 40 phones do not display this ability and will not be supported still in future revisions of the said platform.

Premiere Pro CS6 not playing audio on imported MP4 files.

I am editing a series of MP4 clips shot with a Canon Vixia, and for some reason, Premiere Pro CS6 will not play the audio on a few of the imported files. All of the clips were videotaped with the same camera. I know that there is audio on the clips in question, because it works fine when they are opened in Windows Media Player. I have deleted and reimported the faulty files, to no avail. I noticed in the online discussions that several others have had this problem; but I haven't been ablet o find an online fix thus far. I would greatly appreciate advice on this!

Some DVDs will not play in my Fall '10 i5 MBP

Hi everybody,
This morning I tried playing "Fantastic Mr. Fox" on my less-than-a-year-old Macbook Pro. I put the DVD in superdrive, and instead of hearing the familiar "whirring" or "winding up noise" followed by opening the DVD player app, I just hear a series of buzzes for about five-to-ten seconds before the disc is forcibly ejected. Thinking there might've been a problem with the Superdrive I tried Batman Forever, which loaded up normally. I then tried putting in Horton Hears a Who, which also buzzed and ejected. In total I've tried about ten discs, and three of them haven't worked. The backs of each disc are clean, and scratch-free and were all purchased from either Walmart or Target. They work on other DVD players around the house (PS3, Xbox 360, PC DVD player)
Does this particular superdrive have problems with certain studios' manufacturers?

Can hear sound of video bought on iTunes, but video is not playing

I have bought a few TV episodes in the US. I tried playing them and I hear only the sound. The video window opens but I see only the still image of the series artwork, no video.
Even the episodes I had bought months ago that used to play are not playing anymore (same issue, sound but no video)
I have recently upgraded to 10.5.8 and iTunes 9.0.1.
Any suggestions??

Weird. Restarted the computer and now it is solved. (had restarted it before)

Apple tv my tv programmes are not playing in widescreen even though rented movies are. Aditionally my photos on my iPhone 4 are also shown only in the middle of the screen? Why are not all films/programmes / photos filling the whole screen?

Just purchased Apple TV 2 & music videos purchased and films rented from iTunes play in 16:9 ratio and fill my 6 year old Samsung TV screen completely. However my photos and videos played by AirPlay play in the centre of the screen along with TV series purchased and played from iTunes. Why are not all played media filling the TV screen even though they are playing in 16:9 on the TV?

if the original material is not in widescreen appletv will not play it in widescreen
if it did it would mean that it had to cut off some of the image

ITune Not Playing Video Applications

I downloaded a video application (Video Training for Mac OS X Leopard) and followed instructions given in the help menu.
Download is to a Mac Book Pro OS 10.6.2, iTune v 9.03, with Quicktime Player v 10.0.
Artwork displays but Application still will not play.
Can you help me beyond the Help Instructions?

Correct, I downloaded the App from the iTune store. Sorry, I forgot to mention it.
I did read where it was for an iPod but thought such a video would be useless on it so had a thought it may play on the equipment that the video was discussing.
In all, the video would be a waste unless I find another such book that can be interactive on a full size Mac. I have been looking for a training ebook like "Apple Training Series: Mac OS X Support Essentials".
