Two Apple ID Accounts, One Computer

I am in charge of our districts 28 iPads.  I set up one Apple ID account for the iPads and want to sync all the same apps to all 28 iPads.  I also have an Apple ID account for my personal use.  When I go to iTunes and log off my personal Apple ID account and log on with my school Apple ID account, all the apps from my personal account show up.  I don't want to have my personal apps sync with my school devices and I don't know why they are showing up after I sign out of one account and sign in to the other account.

It should work - it always has for me. You can always sync just the apps that you want to sync - You should turn off auto sync as well.
Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box at the bottom that says - Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Click OK and quit iTunes.
Now you can connect any iPad without fear that it will sync content that you don't want on the device. After you select all of the apps that you want on each iPad - click on Apply in the lower right corner.
Once you set up the first iPad for the school - you will already have the app configuration worked out so you should just be able sync the iPads to that same configuration.

  • How do I run two Apple IDs with one computer and sync music content?

I have a single PC which I have added all of the music to one my log in. My wife and I have Iphones and I want to run separate accounts for itunes, but sync music content from the single source to both phones. Whenever I have tried to do this in the past, it starts to sync all app to both phones. I tried to therefore have separate log ins on the pc itself, but when I have tried this, the music content does not update on my wifes itunes library, after I have added music to mine (ie imported a CD), even though I have linked my wife's music library for itunes purposes to my music folder (hopefully that makes sense!!). Can anyone help as this is driving me mad, otherwise I will just have to run from my account and delete all of my wifes apps etc whenever I sync my phone, and vice versa.
    Thanks!!!
    Jeremy

  • I'd like to know tips for sharing apps between my wife and myself on two iPads with two apple IDs and one computer.

I'm new to iTunes, app store, and managing content on two iPads and an iPod. I manage both iPads and an iPod on one computer, but we have two apple IDs. All my music is on a home-theatre pc. I don't really understand home sharing yet, and I am hoping for some tips from experienced users to keep me from losing content, or mixing up apps and confusing digital rights etc.

You cannot share apps, or any other content purchased from the iTunes Store, between two different Apple IDs.  Those purchases are tied to the Apple ID.

  • Connect two apple devices to one computer, how?

i have an ipod touch connected to my comp. but iwant to connect my daughters ipod nano also, any clues anybody?

    Yes.
Open itunes, connect ipod touch, select what you want to sync, sync, disconnect ipod touch.
Connect ipod nano, select what you want to sync, sync.
You can sync as many iphones, ipods, ipads as you like to one computer.

  • Two Apple Wireless Keyboards, One Computer?

    Possible?
    The backstory, if you care:
I recently built a standing desk... it's really cool, but while adjusting the position of my input devices, I've found that the Compact Wired Keyboard (that I love when I'm sitting down) is too narrow to be comfortable. The shelf that the input devices are on is much lower than I initially thought it would be, so instead of my arms being held in front of my body, they are almost by my sides, so my arms are angling in to reach the keyboard. Not very comfortable. My initial thought was to check out split keyboards, but it doesn't look like their design or feel has improved over the last ten years (I consider the current family of Apple keyboards the best feeling keyboards I've ever used). Then I decided to check out vertical keyboards, and found that they also haven't changed at all since their introduction. So not only would I be getting something that felt bad to the touch, but I'd be paying $200+. Then... ah-hah! Two wireless keyboards and a 3D printed stand! Just hope it can be done.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Yes, you can. Do you intend having different user accounts, do either of you use automatic downloads or iTunes Match.

  • Two Creative cloud accounts - one computer. Help.

Here's the deal - I have a creative cloud account on my home computer for photography and I do photography for work so I installed it on my work desktop too. So far that's been great. Now, however, my boss is also in need of my work desktop and wants to use cc application from his account on my work station. I only have cc for photography (lightroom and photoshop) and he has the full suite. Do I have to uninstall CC for myself and install his or is there a way to switch between accounts (and available applications) on the fly?

    Hi ntsloan,
You just have to sign out from your Adobe Id and let your boss sign in with his Adobe Id.
Please refer : Sign out, Sign in | Creative Cloud Desktop app

  • Can I sync two apple ID accounts to the same account?

I have two apple ID accounts, one for my work Mac, and another for my iPhone 5. Is there a way I can sync the two accounts together onto the same email address? Thanks for answers in advance.

Nope, content from one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.

  • I have two apple Id accounts how do I merge them into one account

I have two apple Id accounts how do I merge them into one account

    you can't merge Apple ID's
    From the FAQ: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5622
I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

I have two apple I.D., one with the .me email address I want, how can I delete it so that I can use that .me address on my other account
Or is it possible to transfer the purchases (apps) to my new .me account so that I can re-download them in the future without having to switch accounts?

You can't do this, and you can't transfer purchases between accounts. There is no conflict about using one ID for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match (the ID you've been using for iTunes) and using the other ID for iCloud.

  • Is it possible to create two apple ID on one iTunes account?

I bought my wife an iPod Touch, how can I keep my contacts seperate from hers?

Phil, I am confused about your statement/answer:
""Is it possible to create two Apple IDs on one iTunes account?"
    Yes.  I have two."
    Apple says:
"An Apple ID is a user name you use for everything you do with Apple. Creating an account for an Apple service, such as the iTunes Store or the App Store, creates an Apple ID. Apple ID allows you to access other Apple services. You don't have to create a new account for each service—just use your Apple ID."
Thus an Apple ID is the same as the iTunes account.
Did you mean can yu use more than one Apple ID on one iPod because yuo know the answr is yes.
Or have I go something wrong?

  • Using two apple IDs on one Itunes account

I recently purchases a ipad for my 86 year old mother. I want to also add music to it that I have cd's for. She now has an Apple ID of her own and I have my own Apple ID. The problem is this, when I log out of my itunes account and log in as her, I can still see all my music library as her. How do I see NOTHING under her account, until I actually load in music for her. Then can i sync her ipad using my OWN Mac and have it appear on her ipad? I have not enabled home sharing at all. Thank you!

  • HT1918 My name is Paul Augsburger I have had several issues with my account and they are now fixed with one exception,  I have two Apple ID accounts, and I would like to combine them. Please contact me at pra1949 (at) me (dot) com for further information.

Please contact me at pra1949 (at) me (dot) com for any further contact I don not monitor the suelefriends (at) gmail (dot) com email.
I have had several iisues with my Apple ID accounts and spent many hours at the APPLE store in Richmond Va. getting them fixed. The technician was wonderful, patient and very knowlegeable, however he was not able to complete the task and said I needed to contact Apple support for the final step. During the process of fixing things I ended up with two APPLE ID accounts. my main accout is suelefriends (at) gmail (dot) com and the second account is "pra1949 (at) me (dot) com" I have most of my apps tied to the main account with only a few to the pra1949 account. I also have $25 worth of credit on the pra1949 account. Because of the two accounts it still makes updating apps very confusing and very cumbersome. I would like to have the two accounts merged so I end up with one account with all the money and APPS tied to it, that way I only need one password to update. I hope this is possible.

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here and they don't monitor these forums - I've asked the hosts to remove yout account ids from your post.
In terms of combining accounts it's not currently possible to do so, nor to copy/transfer content from account to another.

Stop using one. Everything you've previously purchased from it has that Apple ID stored inside the file, which can't be changed.
