Two DC on same Server

Hi All,
My requirement is:
We have ESS BP imported in SC.
I want to enhance the functionality
of the DC available in the ESS SC
without changing the behavior of the
original DC and both DCu2019s should be
executed at the same server.
As I want to run both DCs at the same
server the DC names have to be different.
So how do I achieve this?
Will be thanks full for your quick reply'su2026u2026u2026..
PS: I think there is tool for this but not
sure and able to get any info about it.
Have look at refactoring, but I assume
it can only copy the DC not rename the DC.
Awaiting for replyu2019s...
Cheers,
SJ

This is not possible, have changed the standard DC. During upgrade will have to follow the NWDI cookbook.

  • Two Versions on Same Server

I was wondering if it's possible to have a STVN 2.1 OrgChart and STVN 2.0 Succession Planning installed on the same server? Has anyone seen this kind of setup before?

    Hi Luke:
While I've not seen this done, I'd previously asked the vendor this question and was told the answer is yes.  It makes sense, since the two applications really don't share any files and the transport package that comes with 2.1 doesn't 'remove' any functionality from SAP.
    Good luck.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Two POAs on same server?

I need to segment some users away from our main POA. Can I run two post
office agents on the same server?
    SLES11/OES11, GroupWise 2012
One server is currently running 1 each of MTA, POA, GWIA and WEBACC. We
have about 130 email accounts total. We want to add about 50 users to a
separate POA to differentiate them in the System.
    Thank you,
    Angie

Yes. You either run them each on a separate port both on the same
existing IP address of the server, or you bind a second IP address to
the server and in the properties of the POA specify the correct IP
address for each POA. You then can leave them both at the default port
    of 1677 (7191 for SOAP).

  • Two Infrastructures on same server?

Is it possible to install two separate infrastructures on the same server? I have one very sick infrastructure install with possible oid corruption -support techs have been working it for a month now and I need to move on. I want to install a second infra and mid, and try to export/import so I will not loose any data. Do I need to remove the 'bad' install first? I tried installing in a different oracle home, but I got some messages about the libraries. I had cleared all environment vars prior to starting - but reset the oracle home to the new directory where I wanted to do the second install.
So, does anyone know if you can install two infra's on the same server? This is on Solaris.
    Thanks in advance,
    Debbie

    Hi,
Some time back i came accross a note on Metalink which says it is not possible to have multiple installations of infrastructue on the same server, So please clean the prior installation and move ahead.
    Thanks

  • Two BOBJ on same server

    Hello.
    We use the such landspace:
2 GRC NW portals (7.0 EHP1) which are connected to 2 BOBJ portals (3.1 XI SP3 FixPack 3.3) on the same server.
First GRC portal with BOBJ (name BOE) is for development purposes. There are the DEV systems.
Second GRC portal with BOBJ (name BOP) is for productive purposes. There are the PROD systems.
I use the separate port numbers for BOP.
Working schema is: GRC portal takes and use Crystal reports from BOBJ. CR reports on BOBJ was published before from GRC.
No problem in DEV systems. GRC works correctly and successfully opens CR reports from BOE.
But in PROD system we have this problem: GRC couldn't opens CR reports from BOP.
    Error message was occured:
    Error in RAS Connction.
com.crystaldecisions.sdk.exception.SDKException$SecurityError: Unknown entitlement system: PRMCLNT200. Logon cannot proceed.
    at com.crystaldecisions.sdk.plugin.authentication.sap.internal.SAPR3Error.ThrowException(Unknown Source)
         at com.crystaldecisions.sdk.plugin.authentication.sap.internal.SAPR3Authentication.startLogin(Unknown Source)
         at com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.security.internal.LogonService.doLogon(LogonService.java:337)
All settings in PROD systems is correctly and similar such as DEV.
SAP Authentication in BOP works correctly (Roles imported from ABAP GRC part).
I think problem occured because we use 2 BOBJ servers (BOE XI 3.1 SP3 FixPack 3.3) on same server. And we have some limitations therefore.
If I'm right, I have the questions.
Is there are some limitations during simultaneous work of two BOBJ systems on the same server?
    regards,
    Yessen Sypatayev

    Hi Yessen,
This error message could occur if you removed any entitlement from your Prod server without removing the Roles associated with it. Let me know if that is the case.

  • On new MacPro with Microsoft Office, two email accounts (same server) yet one is fine the other dumps 35,000 emails into inbox. Apple consultants no help. How do I get the 35000 email account fixed?

On new MacPro with Microsoft Office. Two email accounts, same service provider and server, yet one email account is fine and the other dumped the entire server of 35,000 emails into inbox. Need to keep server load for business, but how can emulating server on one account be fixed?

You should clean up your inbox on the server. Log into the account's web interface and move the 35,000 emails out of the inbox into another folder. Why do you need to keep 35,000 emails in the inbox? An email client like OutLook etc. using POP protocol downloads all the inbox emails to your computer.

  • How to create multiple instances of jboss on same server ?

    Hi Friends,
I want to create two servers ( two instances of same server ) running on defferent ports , except default server in jboss.
I do not have any idea, will you please help me?
    My server is jboss-4.0.0
e.g. "web" or "business" servers in
    /jboss/server/web and
    /jboss/server/business

    Hi Kcounsell,
    Thank for your suggestion.
I have put bindingservice-plugin.jar in each server's lib directory.
But still i am getting the exception, because it is not getting the path of "bindings.xml" . I have given the hard coded path here.
Please look into the exception bellow.
How should i mention the path?
OR any other mistake is there?

  • How can i deploy two different versions of the same application on the same server??

I have two different versions of an application. One is a released version. And another version under development. I need to port this version of the application to the same server. I'm using the same classes and packages(except for some new ones). Is it sufficient if i change the name of my ear(application name). Or should i change my code also.

    Hi
You can repackage the new versions of ear,jar and war with different names. I hope that should work well.
    Cheers

  • How Can I create a cluster of two instances running on the same server?

    Hello,
I can't find how to create a cluster or even a failover rule for my two instances running on the same server ODSEE 11gR1.
    Could you please help?
    Thanks,

    Hello,
Clustering (intended as Sun Cluster, Veritas Cluster, etc... ) IS NOT SUPPORTED since 7.0:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E20295_01/pdf/821-1216.pdf [page 20]
and, based on my own experience, is the WORST way of achieving high availability of an LDAP Directory Service and an almost GRANTED way to get replication issues in your topology (lock, split, re-init, etc...).
Please use instead the 'application-level' clustering that you get out of the box with the Multi-Master Replication.

  • How do I install two instances on the same Server and avoid a conflict?

    Hi,
I have one Server and I want to install two instances of SQL Server on it.
    1. Will be a default instance.
    2. Will be a named instance.
The Server has an IP address of 192.168.0.10 and the default instance will be using port 1433.
I want them to share the same address, but be listening on different ports.
    Do I,
    1. Go into TCP/IP of the named instance and set the port numbers for all the IP's to a port number, e.g. 1976?
    2. Delete the 0 from the dynamic ports sections?
    3. Create an open port rule in the Windows Firewall to allow access to the Server?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Please see following Microsoft link
Configure SQL Server to listen on Specific port
Configure Windows firewall to allow SQL Server access

  • CNR: Two cnr instances in the same server (lab environment)

Hello, we are trying to install two cnr 7.2 intances on the same server in order to replicate in lab the real environnment (failover local cluster) without deploying two servers.
I've seen on the installation guide that installing both a local and regional server on a single machine is supported, but what about two local servers working as a failover pair?
up to date, we've managed to install both installs, the dhcp servers are configured for using different interfaces and web gui are listening in different ports. scp ports have been changed (1234 and 4321 ) and, on dhcp-server expert configuration: failover-remote-port and failover-port are configured to be different (677 - 678 in one , and 678 - 677 in the other)
We can manage both servers from DHCP - failover configuration, as they show up and running, and even see logs... The other configs are
When trying to syncronize we get the error
                                                "ChangeSet list is empty."
    is this configuration supported?
    best regards!

    Hi,
We are planning to install second instance of Oracle 11gR2 in Linux server 2.6.39-400.21.1.el6uek.x86_64 x86_64. This is something we never haven done before. If you have such experience, please give us some insight.
The existing instance has all the standard ports:
    Connecting to (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=)(PORT=1521))
Enterprise Manager Console HTTP Port (pterpdb02) = 1158
    Enterprise Manager Agent Port (pterpdb02) = 3938
What ports should we select for second listener and enterprise manager? Is there anything else that we need to know before we install the second instance? If you want a second database instance, no additional installation is required - as long as you want to run the second instance at the same version as the the first. Just fire up dbca and create the second database. One installation of Oracle (one ORACLE_HOME) is capable of supporting many database instances, though the same may or may not be said of the hardware it is running on.
As already said, one listener is enough. One listener, running from one oracle home, using the default name of LISTENER, running on the defualt port of 1521, is quite capable of -- indeed, WAS DESIGNED TO, supporte multiple database instances of multiple versions running from multiple ORACLE_HOMEs.
One instance of dbcontrol/dbconsole will support only one database. If you do not use Grid Control (extra installation, extra license) you will need to use the emca utility or one of the options in the dbca utility to configure a seperate instance of dbcontrol for each database. Don't worry about the ports, the creation utility will take care of it and report what it does.

  • Two Communication Server in the same Server ?

    Hi All,
do you know which are the steps and recommendations to install TWO Communication Station in the same server (Windows 2003) ?
The first one is connect to CRM develop system, and the second one to the CRM Quality System.
    Regards,
    Davide
    [email protected]

    Hello Davide,
Note 503340 is not valid for 5.0 and above but its major points are still true:
    1. Only one default destination can be setup in the DCOM Connector
which is used by the mobile clients after the installation.
    2. Only one default COM4ABAP instance can be setup on the
communication station. This COM4ABAP instance is started
    automatically after reboot.
DCOM Connector is now .NET Connector and COM4ABAP is now NET4ABAP in 5.0 and higher.
Clearly, connecting to TWO (or more) CRM system has two parts:
a.) For Data Transfer with Conntrans. You can configure A SINGLE COMMSTATION INSTANCE to communicate with MULTIPLE destinations by just adding destinations in the QmtCnfg tool on the CommStation. You can then specify this Commstation and the destination value as you created in the QmtConfg tool on the client and data transfer will work.
b.) For changing passwords of Employees in Tx: SMOEAC. This uses the NET4ABAP service running on the CommStation which is called by the CRM Server. There can be ONLY ONE NET4ABAP service running on a CommStation and this connects to ONLY ONE CRM SYSTEM at a time. Hence it is not possible for one NET4ABAP service to serve multiple CRM systems.
If you need both a and b, it is not possible. If you need only a, it is possible and detailed above and also in the CommStation installation guide.
I also believe you have a message running with SAP Support on this same issue and you would have gotten the same details from them.
    Best Regards,
    Ankan

  • Two clients in the same server--Script??

    Hi Folks,
1.I have two clients in the same server say 100(used for dev) 120(used only for testing).I had developed a script in 100 which I want to test it in 120.Now how to move this script in 100 to 120.
2.How to use includes in scripts and what is the usage?
    Thanks,
    K.Kiran.

    <b>INCLUDE: </b>Include other texts
With the command INCLUDE, you can include the contents of another text into your text. The text to be included exists separately from yours and is only copied at the time of the output formatting. With the INCLUDE command, you always get the most current version of the required text, since this is only read and inserted during the output formatting.
    Syntax:
    /: INCLUDE name [OBJECT o] [ID i] [LANGUAGE l] [PARAGRAPH p] [NEW-PARAGRAPH np]
The name of the text to be inserted must be specified and can have up to a maximum of 70 characters. If the text name contains blanks, then you must put it in quotes as a literal. It can also be specified via a symbol. All further parameters of the INCLUDE command are optional. If they are missing, SAPscript uses default values for them which are based on the respective call environment.
    Examples:
    /: INCLUDE MYTEXT
The text MYTEXT is included in the language of the calling text.
    /: INCLUDE MYTEXT LANGUAGE ‘E’ PARAGRAPH ‘A1’
The text with the name MYTEXT and the language E is included, regardless of in which language the calling text is created. The paragraph format A1 is valid as the standard paragraph for this call.
    Optional specifications:
•&#61472;LANGUAGE If a language is not specified, the language of the calling text or the layout set is set for the text to be included. If a language is specified, the text is always loaded in this language, regardless of the language of the calling text.
•&#61472;PARAGRAPH The text to be included is formatted with the style allocated to it. With this parameter, the standard paragraph of this style can be redefined for the current call. All * paragraphs of the inserted text are then formatted with the paragraph specified here.
•&#61472;NEW-PARAGRAPH The first line of the included text has this format flag, provided it is not a command or comment line. If the optional entry PARAGRAPH (see above) is empty, all * paragraphs of the included text are formatted with the paragraph np specified with
    NEW-PARAGRAPH.
•&#61472;OBJECT To specify a text completely, you must make further specifications regarding the text object. There are different rules and restrictions for this which depend on the object type of the calling text: All texts can be included in a layout set. If no object is entered here, TEXT is used (standard texts). With a documentation text (object DOKU), you can only include documentation texts. This object is assumed even if no object is specified in this environment. Only hypertext or documentation text can be included into a hypertext (object DSYS). If the OBJECT specification is missing, DSYS is set as a default value.
Only standard text (object TEXT), documentation text or hypertext can be included in any other type of text. The default object is TEXT if nothing is entered.
•&#61472;ID The text ID, which allows further text types within an object, is a further part of the text key. If the ID is not entered, the default Include ID from table TTXID is used for the calling text. If the specification is not in this table, the text ID of the calling text is used.
The ID together with the object are now the basis of a further consistency check:
