Hi! Me and my girlfriend have the same id apple for two different iPhone... Now, I set iCloud for my phone and for my iPad using this Id, I earn my new mail @me.com and is very usefull using iCloud with my two devices. But, what I have to do with my gf iPhone? How to set iCloud? If I use the same Id we risk a mixup of our contacts, calendars and everything else... Change her id? But by this way she losts her app, not true?? We'd like continuing have te same id but in different clouds... I don't know how!

Having the same exact issue.. Then when using imessage we don't want to see each others texts with others either.. but we would like to share our apps, music, photos etc...

You can have up to 5 computers authorized with the same iTunes account.
An iPod, iPhone, and iPad don't count against this and neither does an Apple TV.

You created the same Apple ID with the setup assistant on the new iPad Air - the same Apple ID used for the iTunes and App Store on your iPhone?
There is no charge for a free app regardless.

I'm not sure if I understand your question, but if you create a new iCloud account with a different ID your existing ID isn't effected by this. It will continue to work as it does now, you will just have an additional Apple ID. If you have an earthlink email address you can continue to use it as a separate account, and it can continue to be your default account if you set it to be (in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account). If I'm misunderstanding your question, please explain further.

No. You'll need to get a SIM from your carrier. Since you won't have a SIM, there will be no way to activate the iPhone at the store, so you'll have to do it yourself.

There is an earlier thread that was answered by an Apple employee that states they are seeing the iMessage and Facetime servers are down. It is unknown when they will return, however it generally is not an extended period of time.

I put the icloud mail login address in the browser, it brings up the login screen.
I put the login details in correctly, it says icloud has stopped responding, I always send to Apple.
It restarts and I get the right screen, below, but all of the icons are blurred out. If you hover over them they sometimes indicate what they are but won’t let me launch them.
I am using an Advent Laptop with a Celeron processor with Windows 7 and the browser is Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7. (I know I am expecting a lot of it). All of my software is up to date.
Any ideas? I a not very techy but I'm not afraid to have a go...it communit question. Thanks fr your help.

So basically the phone I was tracking was working an hour earlier it had no signal at times when it did pick up a signal it located it easily but an hour later the message came up no devices registered when my friend returned home I Checked the device I was tracking to make sure find my iphone was on but it was off and my friend didnt turn it off so my question is why did it turn itself off???

It may because you have iCloud and On your Mac views set up.

Two iPhones using same iCloud account with separate contact lists?

Our family has two iPhones and we each use different contact lists. If we use the same Apple Id is there a way to separate the contact lists in iCloud or do we need separate account (i.e Apple Id's)?

I have my iphone and ipad on Apple icloud services and it finds both units. I think you have to have different account names set up in order to use it. Do you have itunes? if so you can add the device from there. For instructions go to http://www.apple.com check under support, then forums to see if that has been posted.

Two Iphones share same contactlist

I have two Iphones 3GS (one is my dads and the other is my mums). They use the same AppStore and ITunes account and they have synked both Iphones on the same computer. This caused a big problem for them because now they share the same contactlist. So for example if my dad add a contact to his contactlist on his Iphone, my mum get the same contact to her contactlist on her Iphone also. And if my mum delete one contact from her contactlist it deletes from my dads contactlist on his Iphone too. Vice Versa. So the question is: What do I have to do so they dont share the same contactlists anymore?

I use two separate Iphones on my Itunes account for easy access. However, I would like to activate Icloud on both phones but I'm guessing each phone would need a separate acount otherwise they would just sync the same info (calanders,contacts,etc.) correct?
But could I at least use the Find My Iphone app on the second Iphone if I just leave all the other Icloud options off? If I activate Find My Iphone on the second phone, will it just show two Iphones in the menu when I search for the Iphone on my Mac, or do I need to set up a second Icloud account for the second phone?

I don't know whether you were using MobilMe in the past with Find My iPhone, but currently you need iCloud connected to a device if you want to track it.

Hello. I have two iPhones that I have connected to one MobileMe account. We do that so certain calendars, notes, etc will sync. I have a certain set of calendars turned on on one of them and a different set on the other. I made a new calendar for bills and one for other reminders that we both don't need. Turned them on on one and off on the other. On the one which they are turned off, one of them keeps turning back on after it is switched off. I have not been able to determine how long it takes but it eventually does turn on because the next time the reminders are supposed to come up it is definitely on there. Any idea why this might be?
