I have 2 of them that only connected for a day and then reset network settings and they connected again for a day now resetting network settings does not fix it either. My iphone used to work with my home network but after upgrading to the latest OS which is the same versions as the ipods it no longer works either. Acts the same as the ipods. It would seem that the latest tweeks to the OS is the problem with wifi connectivity.

Everytime I try to update to iOS5 on my iPhone 4 I get an error containing 0xE while it is backing up data from the iPhone before installing the new operating system. I have done everything suggested in Apple support with no success. I still get the error everytime (about 5 minutes into backing up iPhone data). How can I upgrade to iOS5 without losing all the data on my iPhone (the error message says that if I continue I will lose all data on the phone)? If I have already synced the phone before upgrading the OS, would I be able to restore my data after installing the new OS by syncing after the OS upgrade is complete? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first. -
I am trying to connect an IPod Touch to my Verizon MiFi Hotspot. It has a password. I have set up a computer, a tablet, and 2 nooks to this MiFi but can't get the IPod to connect to any network that has a password. Please help!
There are other things to try.
Turn WiFi off on the iPad, restart it and then turn WiFi on again.
Reset the network settings on the iPad. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings, that makes you have to start all over again. -
I've had my iPod Touch for a couple years now and I went to upload music and a movie on it today and my Macbook wouldn't recognize it. I tried the two other macs in my house and none of them recognized it. I tried all the suggsetions from the support page, but none of them helped. What else can I do?

I bought my 5th generation Ipod touch in September 2013, so it's just over a year old.
The other night I was scrolling through instagram, pressed the sleep button, then 5-10 minutes later I needed to search something but my Ipod screen stayed black. This has happened before to me, once when I had an Iphone so I let it die then charged it and it was okay. Second time was with this Ipod just over a week ago, I let it sit overnight and brought it to a device repair store and they said I just needed a new charger.
And now this. I let it sit overnight, plugged it in and it's stopped working. I tried plugging it into my computer and nothing showed up. Now since my home button is broken, I use assistive touch so I'm very limited with what I can do. Some people have said plug it in and put it into recovery mode, but that requires a home button and being able to connect to your itunes.
This ipod is probably a waste of time but I have too much stuff on there to just let it die forever. Is there ANYTHING I can possibly do? Is there anyway that Future Shop or another repair store can help me? Please help!Try:

The home button is broken and warranty is expired, so I don't know how to solve this problem. I know people who press power and home button at the same time, (and it works) but as I said, the home button is broken. If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.

So two days ago I was using my iPod and I put it town for a few minutes, and when I came back it would not turn on. It was fully charged so it is not a battery issue. It's a iPod touch 5th gen. Usually when this happens I do the home and power button press but now my home button doesn't work. I don't know what happened to that either because it suddenly stopped working. I tried to use TinyUmbrella and Macboot (or whatever it's called) but they didn't work because they didn't recognize my device. Is there any other way to fix this? Or any way to get the home button un stuck?

The airport only finds other networks. Not the home network which I have used before.
It doesn't help to search for new networks, try to manually search or add the network. Doesn't
help to turn off/on the airport or even the mac. Doesn't help to reboot the home network - which is
found and connected on the iPhone and iPad. (and network speed is good enough for many devices).
The network just doesn't come up on the list of available networks.
No chance to update software, since got no internet.I did some googling and found alot of topics from you on this issue, to me it simply seems like on of the connectors is broken or loose.

I have a handfull of songs in my library that are not showing up bold like the other songs. When I click the icon to download from the cloud nothing happens and they will not load onto my ipod. When I look for them in the purchased area they show up as purchased and downloaded.

I have imported contacts from Outlook to Mail and they have synced via iCloud to my iPhone 3GS. I can't get my iPhone to make a call using these contacts (it tries but then says call ended) but if I dial the number of any of the contacts on the keypad, the call DOES work! Help me please - is there something I need to do to the contacts because tehy came from Outlook? Thanks

We have downloaded apps to our pc but we can't get them on our ipod touch. We have synced our ipod to our computer. We can't even get them when we are some where there is wifi. Ipod touch won't and never did connect. Turned off security to router. Went through troubleshooting list. Circle lines seem as if trying to connect. IP adress is obtained. Never does connect in a usable way??????????????????????????????????????????????
Does the ext directory have the php_oci8.dll? In the original steps the PHP dir is renamed. In the given php.in the extension_dir looks like it has been updated correctly. Since PHP distributes php_oci8.dll by default I reckon there would be a very good chance that the problem was somewhere else. Since this is an old thread I don't think we'll get much value from speculation.
