  • [URGENT] Get Inbound Message in EBS Using XML Gateway + SOAP

    Hi experts,
    I want to ask you about how to process the inbound message using XML Gateway and SOAP protocol.
    I have 2 EBS instances, let's called it A (source) and B (destination).
    FYI, I'm following this ebook: "Oracle E-Business Suite Development and Extensibility Handbook" in chapter 12 regarding Oracle XML Gateway.
    So I don't use BPEL PM to do this.
    I'm just using EBS with XML Gateway and Integrated SOA Gateway responsibilities.
    When I tried to send the XML from A to B using OXTA, it's success, the data can be processed in B and could store in the database.
    But when I tried to use SOAP, the XML message that has been sent from A is success, and when I check it on B (Integrated SOA Gateway -> SOA Monitor), the message is in there and I can see the SOAP request and response as well.
    SOAP request:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

    </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>
    But the problem is the message that has been got in B can't store into the database yet.
    I had already changed the Queue in the XML Gateway -> Define Transaction, from APPLSYS.ECX_IN_OAG_Q (this is for OXTA) to APPLSYS.WF_WS_JMS_IN.
    After I invoke the webservice and the SOAP message has been got in B, I checked APPLSYS.WF_WS_JMS_IN in database and there is 1 record, the value of USER_DATA column is:
    ((, , , , , , ((BES_EVENT_NAME, 100, oracle.apps.fnd.wf.ws.inbound.xmltx.receive, , 27), (BES_EVENT_KEY, 100, 796550960, , 27), (BES_PRIORITY, 200, , 1, 23), (BES_FROM_AGENT, 100, [email protected], , 27), (BES_TO_AGENT, 100, [email protected], , 27), (MSG_ID, 100, 1334117503435, , 27), (ECX_MESSAGE_TYPE, 100, XML, , 27), (ECX_MESSAGE_STANDARD, 100, OAG, , 27), (ECX_PARTY_SITE_ID, 100, 142, , 27), (WS_PORT_OPERATION, 100, ReceiveDocument, , 27), (ECX_TRIGGER_ID, 100, 7101, , 27), (UserId, 100, 3020, , 27), (ECX_USERNAME, 100, CONS.ADE, , 27), (ECX_TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE, 100, ORDER_DETAILS_XO, , 27), (ECX_PASSWORD, 100, CONS.ADE, , 27), (ECX_DOCUMENT_NUMBER, 100, 9285, , 27), (BES_PAYLOAD_OBJECT, 100, false, , 27), (ECX_ATTACHMENTS, 100, , , 27), (ECX_TRANSACTION_TYPE, 100, XKLB, , 27), , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )), 0, , )
    When I tried to select APPLSYS.WF_WS_JMS_IN for the 2nd time, there is no result, which means the business event has been triggered, right?
    So in this point I still don't have any idea why the process is (likely) ended after enter the Queue and the message can't store into B's database yet.
    Do I miss any setup when changing from OXTA into SOAP protocol to send XML message?
    Any urgent help most appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Rheza

  • How to use XML Gateway for Order Import and Item Import?

    Hello XML gurus,
    I'm working in Oracle Apps area and do not have much knowledge on XML or web programming. Currently in my project there is a need to use Order Import and Item Import using interface tables and XML Gateway. The items/orders information will be in the XML format from Siebel system, there will be no custom processing...just process the data as-is.
    I've read the XML Gateway user guide but did not understand much.
    Anyone with similar implementation experience?
    I'm looking for a step-by-step guide on what needs to be done in Oracle Apps side to populate the interface tables from XML file and call the import APIs?
    Your inputs, suggestions, tips are highly appreciated. :)
    Thx,
    Jags

    I have a similar requirement to automate the order import and was looking at XML Gateway. Please update if you were able to find more information.

    First create an external table to read the report as whole lines...

    So... something like that anyway. ;)

  • Checking .txt file with valid XML tags

    hey guys,
    I've a .txt file which conatins info with XML tags. I've to check whether the file contains valid tags or not!
    a tag should start with "<" and end with ">", there shouldn't be space between characters after "<" e.g.
    a tag should be like "<name>" or "</name>" not "< name>" or  "< /name>" nor "<name" or "</name"nor "name>" or  "/name>"Here is an example of a well formed XML document:
    <root>
    Some text <nextTag> more text  <secondTag> stuff </secondTag> </nextTag> more text again
    </root>Here is an example of XML .txt file:
    <students >
         <student>
              <name> John </name>
              <name> Doe </name>
              <address> 98 Pine St.</address>
         </stdnt>
    </students>I also have to make sure that no text appears before and after the root tag! Please help me, i'm trying to figure out but my alogrithm just doesn't work! Thanks in advance!!!

    What's the purpose of those requirements? If you
    wanted to check whether the file was well-formed XML
    then you would just need to run it through an XML
    parser. But some of the things you plan to reject are
    actually well-formed XML. I don't see the point of
    that.basically, it's my assignment. In the assignment our task is to check the .txt files to make sure that all XML tags are valid. The problems i mentioned in my first post, i've figured those out, eventually. There're few other things which i've to also make sure for example no text appearing before and after the root tag
    Can someone please tell me how i can check following cases:
    text<root> or </root> text  (both are invalid XML files)

  • Automating multi-file Flash using XML file "run list"

    I've created a multi-file interactive Flash "demo" for a client. It's very much like a website (though he's not using it as a website) in the way that it is laid out in that there is a main index page which can then direct you to different product categories, which you can click on to see. Each "page" contains product (or product category) information, photos, block diagrams, etc. There is nothing animated in the Flash.
    My client also wants to be able to set it up so that the demo runs automatically from a configurable XML file. My ActionScript skills are pretty limited, but I've been able to using ActionScript 3 to load and read the XML file. Using a 'for' loop, I am able to read the XML file and return the path of each Flash file and the duration that each file should be displayed (my client requested that he be able to configure the duration of each page as well).
    I've set up a loader for each movie clip and a timer for the display duration. Unfortunately, the thing that is throwing me off is that when I attempt to load the movie clip (as the last item in the for loop), it reads the entire XML file, returns all of the clips and durations (I'm using trace to see this) before it loads the movie clip. As a result, the only movie clip that is loaded is the last one read from the XML file.
    As I said, I'm not very good at ActionScript, so everything that I've managed to cobble together has been from internet tutorials.
    This is my code:
    var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, xmlLoaded);
    var mcLoader:Loader = new Loader();
    mcLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.INIT, playClip);
    var mcCurrent:MovieClip = new MovieClip();
    stage.addChild(mcCurrent);
    var xml:XML;
    function playClip(e:Event):void
        trace("Function:playClip");
        stage.removeChild(mcCurrent);
        mcCurrent = MovieClip(mcLoader.content);
        mcLoader.unload();
        stage.addChild(mcCurrent);
    function xmlLoaded(e:Event):void
        trace("Function: xmlLoaded");
        xml = new XML(e.target.data);
        var cl:XMLList = xml.clip;
        for(var i:uint=0; i<cl.length(); i++)
            trace("Begin 'for' loop");
            trace("variable 'i' is" + i);
            var clipPath = cl[i].@path;
            var delay = cl[i].@duration;
            trace("Clip path is " + clipPath);
            trace("Display for " + delay);
            mcLoader.load(new URLRequest(clipPath));
    xmlLoader.load(new URLRequest("filerunlist.xml"));
    I removed the timer event because it, like everything else was getting repeated before anything got loaded, so I wanted to figure out out to get the clip loader (mcLoader) to load the movie clip for each file before I figured out where to put the time to ensure that each clip is displayed for the appropriate duration. I suspect that the timer event needs to occur in the 'playClip' function, but would take advice on that as well.
    Thanks to anyone that can help me figure this out.

    What you need to do in the xml parsing function is to simply store all of the data into an array.  You will then use that array one element after another via whatever timer control you set up, accessing each file in the order they are stored in the array.  You will not do any loading in that function, just data storage, and when you are done, the last line in that function, outside of the loop, will trigger whatever function you have that will start processing the first item in the array.
    Example, storing data objects in the array...
    var clipData:Array = new Array();   // store your xml data here
    var clipToShow:uint = 0;                   // use this later in the showClip function
    function xmlLoaded(e:Event):void
        trace("Function: xmlLoaded");
        xml = new XML(e.target.data);
        var cl:XMLList = xml.clip;
        for(var i:uint=0; i<cl.length(); i++)
            clipArray.push( { clipPath: cl[i].@path, delay: cl[i].@duration } );
        showClip();
    function showClip(){
         // do whatever to process loading clipArray[clipToShow].clipPath
         // and using clipArray[clipToShow].delay for starting whatever timer is involved
         // the timer event handler function will call this function when it is executed
         clipToShow += 1;   // increment the counter for the next clip in line
    If you are not comfortable/familiar with the object approach, then you could also store the clip and delay data in two separate arrays.

  • White lines generated in a txt File when using variable substitution

    Hello,
    I have a problem with a File generated by XI, my File Adapter is using variable substitution with reference to a field of my message type. I use content conversion as well and the generated file has a white line in top of file.
    How could I avoid this and make the white lines disappear? I was trying a lot of things but I don’t really know how to solve this issue, the following is the data type used:
    <FILE_NAME></FILE_NAME>
    <COMPANY>
         <COMPANY_CODE></COMPANY_CODE>
         <COMPANY_NAME></COMPANY_NAME>
         <ADRESS></ADRESS>
    </COMPANY>
    FILE_NAME is the field I use for variable substitution and COMPANY is declare as 0..unbounded.
    Thanks a lot in advanced,
    Luis

    Hi Jai,
    I have declare the following Content Conversion parameters:
    Recordset Structure: COMPANY
    FILE_NAME.fieldFixedLengths     0
    FILE_NAME.fixedLengthTooShortHandling     cut
    COMPANY.fieldFixedLengths     10,80,10,2,50,30,5,5,2,50,50
    COMPANY.addHeaderLine     0
    COMPANY.endSeparator     'nl'
    But it does not work, I have the same white line in the beginning of the file. Do you have any other suggestion??
    I couldnt find the blog written by Sravya either, could you post the link?
    Thanks a lot,
    Luis

  • Create pdf file dynamically using XML

    Hi Experts,
    I have a Webdynpro application where I want to print the data for 'N' number of employees using adobe interactive forms. I have designed the form for one employee. I want to use the same format for the rest of the employees. Can any body please guide me how to go about this.
    Regards,
    Abdullah

    In your context , create a node <b>MasterNode</b> of cardinality <b>1...1</b> and <b>singleton</b> set to <b>true</b>. Bind this to the <b>dataSource</b> property of the <b>InteractiveFormElement</b>.
    Inside this <b>MasterNode</b> create a node <b>Data</b> of cardinality <b>0...n</b> and <b>singleton</b> set to <b>false</b>. Keep all of your payslip attributes inside this node.
    In your interactive form element , in the Body Page create a subform of Type <b>Flow Content</b> and Flow Direction <b>Table</b> .Check the chechbox  for <b>Allow Page Breaks within Context</b> . Inside this subform create another subform of Type <b>Flow Content</b> and Flow Direction <b>Western Text</b> . Uncheck the checkbox for <b>Allow Page Breaks within Context</b> . Put all of your pay slip UI elements inside this subform and bind them with the attributes under the node Data. Also tick the property of the inner subform under the section Object->Subform that says <b>Repeat Subform for each Data Item</b>
    In your view controller coding area , create an element of the node Data for each employee record and populate it with values for the particular employee .
    Add all of the elements that you created into an ArrayList and bind this ArrayList to the node Data. Now your form is ready for n number of employees.
    Put this sort of coding in your view controller coding:
    IDataElement objData = null;
    ArrayList arlData = null;
    int intNumberOfEmployees=0;
    try
            arlData = new ArrayList();
            intNumberOfEmployees = //Get size of your model node that returns employee info
            if(intNumberOfEmployees>0)
                    for(int i=0;i<intNumberOfEmployees;i++)
                            objData  = wdContext.createDataElement();
                            objData.setName("//Value fetched from backend here");//Eg:wdContext.nodeEmployeeInfo.getEmployeeInfoElementAt(i).getname()
                            //Similarly set all of the values
                            arlData.add(objData);
            wdContext.nodeData.bind(arlData);

  • Convert .txt file into .xml file

    Hello,
    How do i convert an .txt file into an .xml file using labVIEW function?.
    Also i do i extract the header from the text file.

    There is no automatic mechanism for converting a .txt file to XML in any language. You have to define the XML schema and then write the code to generate the XML file. You could also read in your text file into some form of structure and then use the Flatten to XML functions to use the NI XML schema. If you need to use your own XML schema then you would need to use the XML Parser VIs to generate your XML file. Alternatively, you could use LabXML or JKI's EasyXML Toolkit.

  • XML Gateway Outbound transaction error

    Hi,
    We are trying to send a XML file to an outside vendor using XML gateway but facing issue in doing the HTTP post.
    As per the XML Gateway user guide I have setup the Hub definition with protocol type as being HTTP. protocol address as the one provided by the vendor and created a hub user.
    I have also setup a 'custom' outbound transaction type.
    And then setup a 'Trading Partner' linked it to the transaction type and the hub. and loaded the DTD and Map file.
    I am able to generate the XML file successfully but it does not get delivered or is being rejected by the vendor.
    I am trying to narrow down to if the issue exists on our end and the file is not being sent correctly or it is being rejected once it reaches the http site.
    I get the following error message on looking at the underlying log table:
    Response: HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error

    any help will be much much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Amit

    Yes i was able to go to the URL using my machine browser. Since Oracle is installed on a linux machine i do not think I will be able to install a browser and go to the site from the oracle machine. I also tried pinging www.google.com and that seemed to work so i am sure the server is able to connect properly.
    Can you suggest any other way to verify that the file is being sent out and the issue is on the other end? I was hoping if i could send the file to any other outside link that will be a good enough test of file going out of the network.

    My Friend, you need to put your code within CODE tags
    And I suspect if anyone would go through your code this way.
    Assuming your problem is to write pixel values to a file you may use this,
          try{
            // Create file
            FileWriter fstream = new FileWriter("out.txt");
            BufferedWriter out = new BufferedWriter(fstream);
            for(int i =0; pixels.length() ; i++)
              out.write(pixels[i]+"\t");
           //Close the output stream
           out.close();
           }catch (Exception e){//Catch exception if any

  • Upload file without using file upload UI Element

    Hi all.
    I need upload a .txt file without using file upload UI Element because filename is not insert by user. The filename is generated by program. I try to use 'GUI_UPLOAD' and 'WS_UPLOAD' but don't work.
    Many thanks in advance.

    As you correctly pointed out we cannot use the gui_upload and gui_download fm's in webdynpro because they require sap gui and WD Components generally run in a HTML or Portal environment.
    The only option available is File Upload Element
