UDF field Creation problem ?

Hi all,
I have install a addon .Addon installation successfully but and all tables are created but all columns are not created .this problem not for all server. where this addon installed there are installed 4/5 addon(is this problem) .please help how to resolved it .

EEWB Custom fields creation problem

I have scenario in which I have to add 3 custom fields in Service Desk (Solution Manager) , I could able to do this if my project is saved in local($TMP) but if I am doing it using a project which is saved in package it is giving me error message no TK885 (No Request as sent through the interface ).

Hello,
For EEWB the system setup is important in order to create EEWB transports.
First of all via SM30 check the view V_OXT_SYSTAB, assign the proper logical system name and system role should be Development system.
Furthermore read/implement the following SAP Note (especially the included PDF file).
Note 1086848 - EEW enhancements cannot be transported

Problem in database fields creation using default class of B1DE Wizard

In an AddOn I am creating database fields in default class "Project_DB'. It does not give any message weather it creates fields or not. My code for database creation is given below

It does not give first message. and second message come properly and immediately when I start the AddOn. I checked it makes all fields accuratly. But when I open the related form it gives error message "Data Source not found". I checked fields name are same as used in form and database .What can the reason? Should I use a simple function for creation of database fields which will run when a button is pressed? Is it fine to using default class for database fields creation?

I solved the problem.
Procedure I followed :
UNINSTALL ORACLE WRAEHOUSE BUILDER SOFTAWARE.
'GLOBAL_NAMES = FALSE' in init.ora file.
RESTARTED MY MACHINE.
INSTALL THE ORACLE WRAEHOUSE BUILDER SOFTAWARE.

OIM 11g R2: Delete User UDF fields

Hi all,
I installed and configured OIM 11g R2. In this environment I created an UDF for User entity.
Here the steps that I followed:
- created a sanbox
- opened User Form
- added a custom field named "MyCustomField". The type field is Text.
Now, due to a mistake during UDF creation, I have to delete it.
I found this post (OIM 11gR2 - Unable to remove UDF which describe how to delete an UDF field.
The post gives these instructions:
- export the sandbox
- remove UDF occurences in xml files
- import the sanbox
I followed the instructions and at the and I checked the result: the UDF field does not exist in the User form, but the associated database field still exits in database.
My question is: how I can delete the database filed without create database inconsistency?

UDF fields missing in Deployment Manager User Metadata export wizzard

Hi,
When I try to export UDF-s using Deployment Manager, not all UDF-s appear in the Deployment Manager wizard step1 Search list for User Metadata type.
It seems that UDF Lookup type-s are not included.
Also, some text type UDF-s are missing as well, while the rest of the text type UDF-s are in the list.
I wonder if someone has encountered the issue? Is there any solution for this?

Hi,
I have tried your suggestion, exported sandbox, than published the sandbox. The UDF-s are included in the UserEO.xml.xml file, but are still cannot be retrieved in Deployment Manager wizard step1 Search list.
Even if I enter the exact name of the attribute (USR_UDF_DEPT_NO) it is not found.
The problem is even more severe:
- the UDF missing from the export, which is a lookup type field, cannot be mapped in a GTC connector.
- this UDF field is NOT CREATED in the DATABASE.
Error message:
<Error> <oracle.iam.configservice.impl> <BEA-000000> <The attribute DEPT_NO does not exist!>
<Error> <oracle.iam.ui.formservice.model.modeler.FormService> <BEA-000000> <Updating User field DEPT_NO with params....failed>

UDF fields from Active to not Active suddenly

Hi everyone,
a customer has submitted a problem which is quite strange. For one of the users, about once a month UDF fields in Item Master Data that are set to Visible and Active suddenly are not Active anymore. The user has no permission to change these settings. But there is something even more strange than that: at the same time, the master data for two items are displayed. For one item, the UDF are active, and for the second one they are not ! I have not yet created a message with the support because I don't have enough clues at what is taking place.
Has someone already seen that ? Does anyone as a clue at what I should look at ?

Since there is a duplication of data , I would suggest you to log support to SAP.
Please check also if change log is activated on Item master which you can see from Menubar - Tools --change log
If regarding UDF concern ,
You could check --go to tools --customisation tools --setting (or CtrlShiftB)
Check what it up there .
I guess it is too hard for troubleshooting because we don't know what exactly trigger your problem.
If you can get more details like user 1 was doing ...,then... we can probably look more in detail .
So far i will first, I would suggest you to log support to SAP because your data is duplicated and also check how many data are duplicated also ..

UDF form flickering problem

Hi All,
We have observed a strange behaviour in SAP UDF , ie; whenever the control goes to any of the UDF field the main form and the UDF form are getting refreshed many times. or in more acurate terms, the FORM_ACTIVATE and FORM_DEACTIVATE events are triggerred at least 30 -40 times on both the forms.
The problem is that , the same is very much visible if the UDF is a edit text field and not a combo field and there is a formatted search obn that field . If the user selects the values from the formatted search screen ( from a list of valus) , after the value is selected the field flicker many times...
Is there any way to get aroud this problem . Our clients are not accepting this behaviour of SAP.

Validating UDF Field

Dear All,
How can I validate a UDF field in Business Partner screen? As I don't want to set any default value for that UDF, I could not make it as Mandatory also. Please help me to resolve this problem.

Hi,
The SBO_sp_TransactionNotification proc can be used for this type of validation but you could also use code in your addon. The benefit of using the proc is that this will work with BPs created using the DI API (eg DTW import or another addon).
As you are only trying to read data on a system form, you can use the DBDataSources already attached to it to check the UDF value. This is a better solution because it does not rely on the UDF tab being open. You cannot use this method to write to the UDF due to the restrictions on a system form.
You could add something like the following to the item pressed event (when BeforeAction is true) of the Add button on the BP form:

UDF field in Crystal in Sales Order Layout

I want to Include UDF field in sales order layout, when i open default layout it shows only standard in RDR1(UDF for rowlevel ) it doesn't shows UDF fields. Now i connected database and re-established OLE DB connection and pulled the RDR1 table, here i can get those UDF created by me. but if i use this UDF field in report details area and this results no values in the layout while preview the report in SAP B1.
Anyone guide me on this....

Hi Ivan,
If you want to populate UDF fields into crystal reports layout then you have to do wat i mentioned earlier.
1. Go to Menu
2. choose Database
3. choose verify database
4.enter Object Id and Document Number as a input
5.system will retrieve the values from database and pull all the fields including UDF
but this doesn't change field length of UDF you have to change it on UDF fields management in SAP by updating the field properties.
Note: later you can't reduce the length

OIM 11g r2 User UDF fields Updation based on AD ID

Hi,
We have to update the UDF fields created for the users in OIM using the data from a table.
This table contains the AD ID, and other fields.
OIM User (already available) will be updated based on AD ID ….i;e AD ID column will be used to find the user in OIM and then his UDF will be updated based on the respective data from other columns in the table .
Please can you help me on this task?

Your requirement doesn't tell much like when you want to update your user. If it would be on daily basis then go for Schedule Task, if you want to at the time of provisioning then you can have one task and attach your code to bring AD ID in OIM..
You may leverage Event Handlers as well if your use case requires that.

Not able to keep defualt value in UDF Field

Hello Frnds,
I have one question to you, I want to keep default value in one of the UDF field which is ContNo which is exist in A/R invoice.
I want to keep default value =9999999
So to do this I have followed the following process:-
First I went to ToolsUser-Defined FieldsManage User FieldsMarketing DocumentsTitleContNo
then pressing update button there is an option to enter Default value and press OK button.
After that its taking some 30 mins and giving error of "SEWSY"
Please help me to let me know the solution.

Please note that as per your suggestion now im not updating the udf by the sql query.
As i was already trying to update it from as a exclusive user of B1, but its not updating.
Its always give the error of SEWSY. At the time of updating there is not user logged on SAP also im updating with the adminstrator role.
Please suggest me.

Go to BSP_WD_CMPWB transaction, on field Component write "AIC_IM_REQ_H" and select display.
Once the next screen is open, on the left side you can see a tree with all reference object related to that component, search and open "Views" -> "AIC_IM_REQ_H/IncidentOV" .
on the right side you can see 3 tabs, "View Structure" / "RT Rep Details of View" / "Configuration"
On "Configuration" Tab you can see the current configuration for your view, using an Enhacement I think that you can edit that view as your need.
I never edit that view so i don't kno how to delete "title 2" block as you need, but maybe if you ask some developer he can do it for you using some code Enhacement .

DV formats ALWAYS use field 1 dominance -- LOWER FIELD FIRST!

BTW, It's ALWAYS the best idea to create a disk image out of iDVD (an option under FILE). Verify the image plays correctly with Apple's Disk Utility and then make the actual burns to writable media with Apple's Disk Utility or Roxio's Toast. Use quality DVD-R media (Verbatim or Maxell) and burn at 4x speed or lower.

Update a UDF field at runtime

I designed the Sales Order and Sales BOL form in Crystal Reports. I am looking to capture and update an UDF field every time I'm printing the one of those reports in SAP B1 2005 A. The reason for doing this is to display on the report "Original" when printed for the first time, "Duplicate" when printed for the second time and so forth. Is this possible? Thank you.

You could do a Formatted search on the UDF to change to a value when the Field "Printed" is changed.
You might want to do "Refresh Regularly" option in Formatted Search.
