UI problems when accessing UWL

Hi Portal experts and friends,
We are implementing the UWL in our company.
Constraint:
The managers ( who are crazy ) sometimes will be approving the flow being outside the company premises. For example, they might stay in a hotel with low bandwidth connection. In that case , accessing the portal will become serious performance drawback , it is not responding, time out issues etc.,
How to avoid that ?
Possible options we could think of
1) Changes the UI look and feel lo load very minimal content.
2) Instead using the Portal , we are trying to develop a Z transaction in R/3 which will get connected to backed systems for the approval flow . Hence , we can use SAP GUI options ( slow connection ).
The main problem here will be UI to access the UWL .
For the portal , what are the possible UI available ? ( i could think of only accessing through web browser )
If Web browser is the only way , any option of solving this performance problem due low bandwidth connection ?

I know that some customers have shown the UWL on Blackberry. Is this an option for you? Here is some additional information for you. Have a look at this post:

When i am trying to open the Tasks in UWL, the Tasks which are calling any Tcode are giving blank page and some Tasks are opening but the Attachments in that Tasks are not opening.

Could any one please suggest me that i am missing any more configuration or any authorizations. Else any Session Managment needs to be done.
Some times it is showing "/!Session not fall-safe/!\" in the status bar.

Please remember to always provide information about your OS and how to reproduce your problem when asking a question. There are fundamental differences between the various Linux distributions and access methods and there are no universal solutions.
From what I can gather, the NX client should ask you for your SSH login. You need to specify your administrator account here. If you have terminal access, you can also try to type "sudo su -", which will prompt you for your current account password and then log you in as user root. This works provided your account has been given sudo access. Once you have root access, type "gnome-control-center" form the command prompt to open the YaST control center..

VPN auto connect leads problem when accessing the private url in my app through HttpClient

I have app to execute my WCF service through HttpClient(). I configured my SSL VPN in sonicwall mobile connect with auto connect option. So when accessing my internal WCF service, Wp 8.1 asks the VPN connection screen. If I follow the screen, VPN
has connected and return to my App. But here I received "An error has ocurred. While sending request to server" in Wp 8.1 screen. Even if I debug through visual studio I couldn't catch or track the actual error in code. Below the code I am using

I recommend that you check the network traffic by using either Wireshark or Fiddler to see what's going on with the request.

Problem when access to safe screen

When entering in mode safe screen , the computer gets blockage ! ... I tried to access the systems preferences screen and safe screen but ones I push " safe screen " label , it gets blockage too .
It was working without problem so far for more than 4 years ...... The screen reads .... Loading photos ...... For ever !

Performance problem when accessing data reside in sql server2005

I'm using oracle 11g installed on windows 2008 R2 platform .
i was created link to sql 2005 using gateway 11g and it work normal .
my problem is when I'm trying to access data using where clause containing OR operator like this :
select * from tb@dg4msql where field1 = 'a' or field2 = 'a'
this query takes long times to be respond .
but this problem does not appear when using AND operator .
please if any body can help me to resolve this problem .

you need to check if the query using the OR operator is post processed. Post processing means ALL records from the remote foreign database stored in the affected table are transferred into the local Oracle db and the result is then processed locally. Depending on the amount of data this might take a while.
A way to check the statement sent to the remote database if it includes the OR operater is to use explain plan or you can also set the gateway tracing to status ON.

Problem when accessing Google and YouTube

After updating to Yosemite I receive strange popups when I try to access a google account or a youtube account. The popup states the following:
No program defined to open URL "msvtdh://https%3A//www.youtube.com/?msauto"
I get the option to either Discard, Open a program on my MacBook Pro or try to find a program on the App Store. Neither solution is giving any help with this. Anyone having an idea of why I get these, and what I can do to get rid these messages?

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
Don't be put off by the complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it changes nothing. It doesn't send or receive any data on the network. All it does is to generate a human-readable report on the state of the computer. That report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can act on it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.
You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.
In this case, however, there are a couple of ways for you to decide whether the program is safe without having to trust me. First, you can read it. Unlike an application that you download and click to run, it's transparent, so anyone with the necessary skill can verify what it does.
You may not be able to understand the script yourself. But variations of the script have been posted on this website thousands of times over a period of years. The site is hosted by Apple, which does not allow it to be used to distribute harmful software. Any one of the millions of registered users could have read the script and raised the alarm if it was harmful. Then I would not be here now and you would not be reading this message.
Nevertheless, if you can't satisfy yourself that these instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
4. Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
5. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
6. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
7. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report what happened. No harm will be done.
12. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

A problem when accessing iCloud email.

Hi,
I've encountered a problem while upgrading and moving from MobileMe to iCloud. Everything seems to be working ok except when I'm trying to access my mail on iCloud via browser. You can see the screenshot of the message I get every time. Is there anybody here who has or experienced the same problem or are there any solutions to this issue?
p.s. I'm using mobileme, upgraded from .mac.

Problems when accessing Teradata

Hi,
I'm using SQL developer to connect to Oracle and Teradata databases but there are a couple of problems.
We can't use popup describe. We get an error because the program is trying to access the all_users table in Teradata and there is also a syntax error about a rank keyword.
Something similar happens when exporting. Teradata expects an alias after each subselect and when exporting it fails.
Is there any way to solve this? I could even change the sql's if you people know where are they located.

SQL Developer support for databases other than Oracle is mainly for migration purposes. Your terms "describe" and "export" let me guess that you are trying things against the Teradata database that are supported only against an Oracle database.
SQL Developer let you browse through the Teradata database and helps you to migrate the Teradata database to Oracle. Isn't it a migration that you want to achieve?
The SQL Developer 2.1 online help shows you what you can do with a Teradata database, search for the chapter "Before Migrating From Teradata".

Problem when accessing through SQL Developer...

Need a assistance here, Today I faced strange problem from one of my application users...
He is trying to list the tables of another schema from SQL Devleopor But it took lonnnng time to expand the table lists. Below is the acutaal scenario.
In SQL Developer he is loging to the database using xxx user and able to connect as qucik as usual, once he connected to the database he needs to list out the tables in yyy user, But when clicking tables under yyy user it took hell lot of time to expand it. But as a DBA I could access everything as quick as usual.
1) He logged in to the DB using xxx -- Able to connect quickly
2) He is expanding other users and selecting the user yyy
3) From there he is trying expand Tables section -- > This is taking very long time some time hungs.... But through DBA account everything can be accessible easily and quickly.
Looks a very strange scenario and I dont even know how to analyse it, I appreciate your valuable solution

This has been the behavior of the CSS when logging in via SSH since the product was introduced. So yes, this is normal behavior for the CSS.

Security Problem when Access Other File types

we have report files in pdf and excel that generated from java.
we then call this file from browser through URL :http://java1.sdc-net/msp/excel/result/workbook.xls.
this just work fine, but when we implement j2ee declarative security constraint (we use custom jdbc realms):

What kind of errors are you getting ?.Do you able to login without any problem ?.Could you enable the log level in security to FINEST and set the Audit enabled to true and run the application. It will tell you what's going wrong.
Let us know the result and please post the logs.

Since installing Firefox 4 I am having problems when accessing my bookmarks. When clicking on "bookmarks" the dropdown flashes off and on as do the websites under the various folders. HELP

I have a 64 bit operating system and it was not a problem under the previous version. Is that version available for me to download or is there another solution.

I found this problem was fixed at the same time as fixing my flashing context menus by disabling hardware acceleration.

UWL giving "Page Cannot be Displayed" when accessed through Internet

Dear all,
We have exposed our portal to Internet and are currently testing the functionality.
All applications are working fine except UWL and Identity Management. UWL is working fine if I'm not using the Webdynpro UI for display.
Later we checked. Only the Webdynpro based applications are having problem when accessing through Internet.
What can be the reason for this? Please help. We are stuck up because of this.

   1. Enter the Hosts enteries of R/3 and EP server.
   2. Try to ping the r/3 & EP server outside your network.
