Unable to activate Windows7 on laptop

I am from IT team at Deutsche Bank, and we have customized image of Windows7. We build the machine with Windows7 using USB image in few locations. We are able to successfully build all machines,
but we are facing issue in one laptop. The machine has been built, but when we log in, it is asking to activate the Windows. We have a KMS server which provides the activation key automatically to every machine, but it is not happening in this case. We had
escalated the issue to our Windows7 admin, and they updated that there is some issue in BIOS pointer/planner, due to which it is not connecting to the KMS server. Kindly let us know how to resolve this issue on priority as we need to migrate all WinXP devices
to Windows7 by this week.

Try the following:
Open an elevated command prompt (run as administrator) and enter the following commands:
slmgr -upk
slmgr -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX (Where XXXXX is your product key)
slmgr -ato

As kb1951 states, unless this phone was purchased directly from Apple, it is not officially unlocked. In the US, only Apple sells officially unlocked iPhones. The message you got generally means your phone was hacked to unlock it...jailbroken...Apple's servers have detected such & are preventing your phone from activating...there's nothing wrong with the activation servers.
You'll need a sim card from the carrier your phone is locked to in order to activate it. If you don't know what carrier, you'll have to call AppleCare in the US to determine this info. Be aware, US carriers will not authorize official unlocking unless you are a customer that used the phone on their network. Thus, there is most likely no way for you to get this phone officially unlocked.

Unable to activate Adobe Creative Suite 3

Hi,
My laptop has recently crashed and I had the hard drive replaced. Because I could not deactivate my copy of Adobe Creative Suite 3 prior to the breakdown, I am now unable to activate it as it is indicated that I have used up my activation limit.

Unable to activate my Ipad3 ????

Can not activate over WiFi eventhough I tried two different wireless routers. It connects to the router but when trying to activate "Unable to activate at this time ...blah blah". Called customer support. They say the wifi connection is up and down. This is not the case. They suggested activating over iTunes. I had to upgrade iTunes which rebooted my laptop and then took a loooong time to come up. And then it tried to recognize the Ipad and gave up. I then figured out that by toggling the wifi, I could force Ipad to connect to iTunes. No go there as well. iTunes gives same message. "We are sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation this time. Please try again later or contact customer care". Now I have to get an appointment and drive 16 miles to the Apple store. Very nice!!!
What is going on Apple? I was expecting a pleasant no-nonsense user-experience. This is totally crappy and unacceptable.
I am taking this unit out of the country and it has been engraved as well.
I AM VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED, to say the least!

Restart the iPad and try again. Try with iTunes when you restart the iPad and worry about the WiFi after you activate the device.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

[SOLVED] Rhythmbox: Unable to activate plugin Audio CD Recorder

Hi,
I'm trying to use Rhythmbox on my EeePC. The laptop not surprisingly does not have an optical drive. When I'm starting Rythmbox, I always get an error:
Plugin Error: Unable to activate plugin Audio CD Recorder
I tried the obvious: check the Edit/Plugins tab, but couldn't see any Audio CD Recorder plugin at all... Does anyone have a hint how to get rid of this message? It's pretty annoying every time when I start the program.

Asked the gnome guys about it in this bug report, but they tell me that even if the Audio CD Recorder is a plugin is a plugin, it is not, so it's not listed in the plugin list because no sane person would want to turn it off, but if I want to turn it off I should use gconf.....
Is it just me, or does it really not make sense not to be able to turn off a plugin?
Okay, that might be a philosophical question (and I almost started to like gnome, but not very sure anymore), from the practical side there are other issues...
I poked around a little bit, and the problem is that the cd-burner plugin is compiled with brasero dependency, but i don't have brasero. It is listed as an optional dependency, but if I don't install it (on the Eee every MB counts...) then there's this error every single time. In the bug-report they say that i can turn it off somehow with gconf, but being an XFCE user, I'm not sure about that, and it seems I have to install some extra software for that as well...
So what would be possible solution:
1) recompile package every time for myself from ABS
2) install brasero and live with it
3) try to figure out gconf under xfce
4) figure out how to package rhythmbox differently, seprating core and plugins so that there are no broken dependencies...
Personally: 2 and 3 are very much "do not want". The 1 - if have to then it will happen. The best would be 4, though at the moment I don't have a good idea how should that one work, not to break other people's system... But it seems I'm not the only one with this problem either, so fixing this would make sense....

Is reliance a supported carrier for the iPhone? If not, you will be unable to get facetime to activate.

Unable to activate Genius

I am unable to activate Genius since upgrading to Windows 7. Prior with Vista and iTunes 9 Genius worked fine. Upgrade to Win7 and I cannot activate Genius.
It goes through step 1 fine then goes into step 2. It pops up an error message after about a minute that says "We could not complete your iTunes store request. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network connections are correct and your network connection is active, then try again".
Well, I have been trying again later for about a month all with the same error.
I have rebuilt the library--no luck.
I CAN access and download new content from the iTunes store. I just cannot activate genius.

I finally managed to fix this problem by removing groups of songs from my library until Genius successfully started. I started removing artists beginning with A and by the time I got down to D Genius started to work. This made me think that it was related to a specific song. However, I gradually added all of the tracks back in to my library and Genius continued to update OK!! I now have all of the same songs in the library and Genius is working fine. I have over 12000 songs in my library so it may be a bug related to the number of tracks. The downside to removing the tracks (but keeping the files) is that you lose the playcount and you have to add them to your playlists again.

Resolution/Workarounds attempted:
Attempted 2 different Load balancing settings – local and remote (i.e. affinity)
Ensured local computer policy on server for ‘RPC Endpoint Mapper Client Authentication’ and ‘Restrictions for Unauthenticated RPC clients’ is disabled.
Ensured following key in registry is set properly - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\RPC

For resolving your issue , you can do as the followings:
1. Logged into the Web Server with the Timer Service Account.
2. Ran the powershell command to check the SID of the account running the spucworkerprocessproxy.exe:
$(Get-SPManagedAccount -Identity "THE SERVICE ACCOUNT").Sid.Value
3. Checked the registry :
HKEY_USERS\[SID OF THE SERVICE ACCOUNT]\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WinTrust\Trust Providers\Software Publishing\State
4. Changed the value 0x00023c00 to 0x00023e00

Sounds like your iPhone was unofficially unlocked by hacking it. You need to call AppleCare, tell them you only want to know which cell carrier your iPhone is locked to and give them the model and serial number. Then contact that cell carrier and see what their official unlock policy is and if you qualify.

I am unable to activate my Creative Cloud products after upgrading to Windows 8. I have used the Chat service on three separate occasions, and after the employee asks me for my e-mail and order number, determines that they are unable to provide me the instructions necessary to license or activate the software. Delete all the DS and try creating from starting, to export DS, with correct selections, and then Activate the Transfer Structure..

Unable to activate Creative Suite 2 in Windows 7.
Error message states: "The serial number you provided is not valid. Please check your serial number and re-enter it." I do have an active serial number and when talking to the tech, he stated that it did activate but my computer shows it isn't valid? I was told that Creative Suite 2 is not compatible with Windows 7. The program is 4 years old and was very expensive. I do not want to invest in a new upgrade so how do I solve my problem?
